    Palmetto Home and Land
It was great. When Noah first showed up to assess the deck, we were concerned when we saw how young he is. That was not an issue; he knows what he is doing and is very professional. Noah gives great customer service; he returns calls and texts in a prompt manner. We had an issue where something wasnt quite right and he was happy to fix it to our liking. He wants his customers to have a good experience and be pleased with the final product. We love our new deck; we now have so much more room on it than before. I would highly recommend him.

    The Improvement Co
I couldn't be more pleased with Dan and his crew of Jake and Paul, plus others as needed. They were neat, confining dirt and dust from the rest of the house. They even cleaned up everything before leaving each night. They used my ideas and made them better by pointing me to experts to help me pick out coordinating tile and bathroom fixtures and showing me how things could be better. They used the existing too large shower stall and left a newly tiled shower with glass doors and added a linen closet. What a bonus (Jake's idea.) They replaced the bathtub, retiled the floor, raised the existing cabinetry, added granite tops with ceramic sinks, installed new plumbing and faucets, raised the tv to needed height, hid the wiring inside the walls and added new electrical outlets where needed and new vent fans in the shower and water closet. The room is beautiful and the work masterful. These are great people who truly wanted me to be happy. I tried to keep my interference to a minimum but if there was some small thing I found displeasing , maybe once, they were happy to redo something that other people would never notice. These are people with great hearts and it shows in their attitudes and attention to detail. Highly recommended for bathrooms and any other project you might need.

    Tru Renovations
Gabe Baker showed up and was very professional, I explained what I wanted, he let me know what the possibilities were as far as lumber decking or brick. He told me he would get back to me in a couple days with a quote including materials and labor. The next day he gave me a quote of $1100 for material and said he would do the labor for $350 for the lumber and $600 for the brick. I told him I would see if I could come up with the $1450 for the lumber deck. He told me that he would contact me again Monday and see if he could come up with a better deal, knowing I am a single mom with 5 children. Monday came and I received several text from Gabe as seen below from the pictures of my messages on my phone. He flat out told me that he would charge me for materials and would take off the $350 for labor if I would spend an hour with him. Being a lady I thought there is no way he is asking what I think he is asking, he seemed very professional so I asked, what do you mean spend an hour with you? Do you mean going over the plans for the deck, I can do that? He replied saying when and where. I said, you pick I have an appointment tomorrow at 9:30 but I am free after that. He said your place good? I said, sure that way I can visualize what ever plans you might come up with better. He said will your kids be home? This of course struck me as a little odd but again I thought, he probably wants to keep things professional and make sure we are not alone which is exactly the kind of woman I am so I replied and said, yep they will be home. To which he replied, I don't think we are on the same page. confused I said, I'm very blunt for a woman so why don't you just spell it out for me. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I am not unintelligent but I sometimes see more good in people than there really is obviously and give too much benefit of the doubt. So I said, Do you mean meet you for ***? To which he began apologizing for his asking and admitting that he was out of line and then said, just go with the original price I gave you plus the $350 labor, but if you refer me to someone else I will give you $500 off the price. I was so upset and angry at this point that I didn't reply at all. He texted and asked, do you still want me to do the job? I replied No thank you. Its all in the text conversation below. I wanted to let people know about this because there is just absolutely no excuse for this kind of belittling garbage and its not okay to get away with it at all. A couple hours later I had to ask becasue it had insulted me so badly, and no real man would degrade a woman to this extent so I had to ask a pig such as he to attempt to find understanding. Why was I in your mind classified as the kind of woman you solicate for prostitution, because you flat out offered me money in exchange for *** with that request, rather than being seen as the kind of woman you respect and take home to meet your mom? he replied that he was attracted to me and his "cave man" instincts kicked in. Seriously?? My 18 year old son asked me.. what should he have done instead if he really liked you? To which I told him, as a professional you stay focused on your job rather than your desires so it should have just been a note of attraction in his mind and nothing else said but if he really was attracted to me and wanted anything more than just a one night stand, he should have given me a fair quote, done the job and did it well, then when the job was complete and the transaction was finished, he could have simply said, I was wondering if there if by any chance you would be interrested in going out to dinner with me so I can get to know you a little better? That way I had the chance to let him know if I am available or interested in him as well and we could have gone from there or I would have told him I am flattered but I am really not interrested but thank you. To which he could have simply said I completely understand I just didnt want to regret not asking later incase you were, I wish you the best and we both go about our business. My son agreed that would have been a much more professional and gentlmanly way to approach the situation. No matter what, this is the most disgusting degrading way to approach a woman and it is beyond sexual harrassment. This man now knows where I live, he violated my place of solitude and degraded my character as a strong independant woman who has worked my whole life to provide for my children and it should not be tolerated. Now you are informed of ust the kind of man who is offering to do "quality work" for you. Husbands be warned of leaving him alone with your wives to do work, and woman be warned of the kind of man you may intend to be hiring for work. Be safe.

    Lakeside Construction of Columbia LLC
    1. The process was not at all intimidating the crew was on the ball and arrived as the scheduled and they did their work diligently and cleaned up all refuse each day before leaving , by the way all plants were covered so as to prevent damage to them
    2. during the roof removal process. I had some sheets or plywood and some old pallets which assisted their efforts to protect plantings around the house. In all it was not what I expected, days of messy material around the stepping on nails etc. No it was a two day process well coordinated and executed. Trash removed,  yard swept with a magnetic roller to remove any stray nails.
    3. I wood recommend this company to anyone, and as a matter of fact this company also did my sister home a few weeks after mine. Good Company + Good Work + Good Execution =  JOB WELL DONE

    Master's Men Remodeling & Construction
This company was top-notch from start to finish.  From the initial meeting to discuss the project and develop an estimate, they were professional and straightforward with us.  Several different remodeling options were discussed in detail, and they prepared several estimates basedon the extent of the work we were considering.  Once we decided to award them the contract for the remodeling work, their communication was great!  Any questions we had for the contractors they used or for the staff from Masters Men remodeling were answered promptly.  We found each of the contractors they used for different portions of the work to be top-notch as well.  The crews worked steadily and really took precautions to make sure that the rest of ur house was kept as free from dust and dirt as was possible.
Once the work was completed, there were a few minor items that needed to be addressed.  Masters Men remodeling was quick to efficiently get these items taken care of.  It was a very, very good experience overall and we would highly recommend this company to others.  We'll definitely consider using them on future projects!

If you are considering calling Steve, please do, you will not regret it.  He and his team are professional, they stay in constant communication with you, and Steve will work with your schedule and needs to get the job done.  My only regret up to this point is that 'life' threw us off track for a while.

    Handyman Services LLC
Rick, the guy who did the painting, was a perfectionist and we were very happy with his services. He had earlier done some repair work when one of my sons fell through the attic and tore out the whole sheet. He did a great job in fixing it back. We thought that the quote given by Handyman Services for the master bathroom work was too high.

    Jeff Ward
Mr. Ward started out by being punctual on his initial visit which was to provide us an estimate. We were wanting to get a garden tub of ours replaced that was cracked. Mr. Ward was recommended by another businessman who thought he was a man of his work. Both of us learned we were wrong. As an Army Colonel I did not expect things to turn out the way they did. Once we hired him he requested a $3000.00 deposit to order the tub, buy materials and begin the job. It went downhill from there. Of course I had to report back to FT Bragg and my wife had to deal with the lies. Mr. Ward told my wife time and time again he was coming on a specific day which he never did. As a working mother she had to take off which cost us money. Then I had to take leave to ensure things would be done, he called said he would be there and never showed up. When he finally did the first day was delivering material to begin which took less than thirty minutes. He had to leave our house once again to work on my friend’s house which was a $20,000 job up the road. Of course he lied to him as well. Then he came back the following day to shut the water off at the tub and prep the bathroom to begin the job. He was at our house for about an hour and had to leave to the other job once again. Then he had a plumber come over, a friend of his, who spent less than 30 minutes at my house, and charged me $150 and ruined our faucet which cost us another $250. His plumber left a job which was one mile from my house, installed a PVC cut off valve and was done. Of course I was charged for delivery. The when Mr. Ward did come back which was on a Friday he explained his well went bad and that Murphy's Law is working against him. He walked in our bathroom, was there for about 10 minutes, borrowed my fan and told me there was 30% moisture in my bathroom floor which needed to air out. Keep in mind the tub hadn't been used since Jan 2011. As a trained Home Inspector I got my moisture meter and checked the moisture content and came up with nothing. The bottom line is he wanted time to fix his well at the expense of his customers. As for the Tub, Mr. Ward has indicated on three occasions that he ordered the tub which cost $3000 from a business who supplies construction material. On each occasion he said the tub was damaged upon receipt. He even lies about his dealers at the expense of their creditability. We also were told he was delivering the tub twice and of course he lied. He said he had to wait on the supplier to write him a check before he could refund our money. Then Mr. Ward said we had to wait for his bank that put a hold on the check. Today’s date is 10 August 2011 and we are still waiting on our money. Mr. Ward continues to lie and still owes us the money he received. The friend of I mentioned earlier owns his own Heating and Air company and will never use or recommend Mr. Ward to anyone professionally. As I write this I am fighting to get my money back. At home I have a hole in my floor where a Garden Tub once was. I am currently at FT Bragg and must rely on my phone to make contact with Jeff Ward who has now started another job in Charlotte. As a soldier in the Army, a Christian, and a man of my word I would never recommend Mr. Jeff Ward to anyone. He uses the customer’s money to roll jobs. He is unreliable, not trustworthy, and lacks character.

    All Types Home Maintenance LLC
He discussed the project with my wife and gave us a quote right away, then showed up exactly on time two weeks later when he had said he would start. Needed no instructions and figured out the best way to patch up various loose ends that had never been resolved before. Made very quick work of a job that took a lot of thought and final result is exactly what we wanted. He noticed something already in place was not properly lined up and went ahead and corrected that also. Will definitely use again.
