    DoodyCalls of Charleston
I hate cleaning, and especially dog poop. But it was killing my yard. I hired DoodyCalls of Charleston and they sent a tech out immediately, cleaned my yard, and I've had them coming back every week so I don't have to deal with it. It's especially great in the summertime when Charleston is hot and humid and the smell really reeks and my child is trying to play in the yard. Super cheap, I don't have to be home, they just take care of it for me. Worth it. It's like $15/wk for my yard. I recommend them to everyone!

Paws & Tails Pet Care - Paula Davis
Paula and Becky have taken great care of our dogs, Julia and Dilly, numerous times while we were out of town. Julia requires special attention, and they have been loving and patient with her. They have been consistently reliable & kind and have texted us frequently to assure us that all is well. Thanks so much, Paula and Becky!

    Bark Busters Home Dog Training
My family rescued 2 hound mixes from a local shelter when they were 8 weeks old. They are littermates. When they reached 60 and 70 pounds at less than a year old, I knew I needed help training them! They were baking at EVERYTHING! They were jumping in my children and knocking them over. They were destroying my house. Leash walking was not even possible because they pulled to much. I was at my wits end. Bark Busters (Michelle for the Charleston area) came in and trained me to teach me to train them. Michelle was patient and kund with both me and my dogs! And dogs actually listen to me.

Talks a good game but if you are looking for more than shots or nail trimming, you should find a different veterinarian. We own a young show quality Doberman Pinscher who needed only 2 points to complete her AKC Championship. That was before  Dr Shong misdiagnosed a skin condition and recommended unnecessary surgery instead of a dietary change. He had been treating her for a skin growth with oral antibiotics & anti inflammatory drugs and various topical medications. When those efforts failed he suggested that he could remove the growths and have them biopsied. When we picked her up we were shocked that the surgical scars were 1" and 3" but he assured us that they would heal over. After a few days she managed to rub her hips against a sofa and she pulled her stitches so the surgery had to be repeated. Both vets at Bohicket told us that the only way that we could be assured of a full recovery would be for her to stay at their clinic for 3 weeks. We agreed and left her there for 3 weeks. At no time during that period were we advised that there was any problem but when she was returned home she had 2 unhealed surgical incisions. In fact, the largest incision was open and healing from the inside out. They even covered an open part with surgical glue. It's interesting that it was essential that the surgery had to be repeated when the damage occurred while she was with us but when it occurred under their care, it wasn't necessary.  After we switched vets we found that the growths were caused by a food allergy so after we changed the source of her protein, the new growths disappeared and surgery was totally unnecessary. After 2 surgeries and 3 weeks of aftercare at their clinic our Doberman is scarred for life. We accepted responsibility for her pulling her stitches after the first surgery but at no time  has he accepted any responsibility and at one point he even blamed the dog. While he didn't charge us for the boarding he still had a responsibility for her safekeeping.

I have used them for 9 to 10 years.  I can drop my dog off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.  My dog loves them too.  In the years I have went there I have had not one problem with them.

Had prior care by Dr. Ruth. She was caring and comprehensive although quite $$$. My wife returned today to refill our dogs heart worm med. Was advised that they would have to do a complete physical and lab work before the med can be refilled. The staff is not pleasant and obviously trained that making money is the primary goal, not care of your pet.

I rew the day I ever walked into this place! For a holistic practice, they LOVE drugs. My dog went in for a routine dental cleaning and ended up DEAD.AND they charged me $637.00 for the privilege. One suggestion for all: Do your own research and proceed with extreme caution before ever giving your pet Buneprenorphine for pain. It has serious and deadly side effects. For herbs or little accupuncture, this practice might be fine, but for any condition even slightly more serious, RUN- dont walk- to another veterinary practice as FAST AS YOU CAN. You wont be sorry and your furbaby will live to thank you for it!

This was the third time bringing my dog there and each time I did my dog more and more was terrified of going. When you enter they have many dogs unleashed just walking around. Luckily they all seemed pretty calm and did not excite my dog. So the last time I brought my dog, I realized when we got home that she had a huge gash in her snout, now as mentioned above she just had a bath and brushing so there were no scissors that were around her. When I called to complain, the lady on the phone put me on ho ld to talk to the groomer. She came back and said that the groomer said she saw my dog acting up in the crate and maybe she cut it on there. As I said, my dog is terrified of that place so I know she wouldn't have acted up unless another dog was offending her. Now as I said, there are always tons of dogs walking around on no leash so maybe one of them did upset her. I asked why nothing was said to me when I picked her up and she wasn't sure. She said she would have the manager call me back. M The manager called me and gave me a completely different story. Page said that the groomer noticed it while bathing her and put it in her notes. The reason they didn't say anything, she said was because it wasn't bleeding so they thought it was an old cut. Who would bring their dog to get groomed with a huge gash on her nose! Needless to say once I saw the gash I knew I wasn't going back so wasn't worth fighting any more about.

You can tell (after many dogs over the years) if a dog doesn't like going, and ours are always fine going and in good spirits when we pick them up. Love that they are open 7 days a week from 7 to 6, and only one small price increase in 8 years. The kennel manager is great as is the owner and other employees! Our boys get great attention there.

    Riverbank Veterinary Clinic
Great experience for our dog and for us. Dr. Roumillat took his time and was very thorough. The prices were very reasonable. We recently switched Bees Ferry Vet Clinic where we did not have a good experience. We highly recommend Riverbank Veterinary clinic.
