    Nature Adventures
    I like to explore Charleston and being on the water in Shem is definitely fun. When you first walk up, it's a weird "store front." I saw the college looking kids and didn't expect much, but come to find out most of the people who work at Nature Adventures have some kind of background in marine biology, certifications as Master Naturalists, etc. I always like to learn new things, and they definitely taught me a thing or 2 (I like to turn around and spout these facts at other people as if I'm knowledgeable on the topic, party tricks). I've always been TERRIFIED of kayaks because of your legs being enclosed in the vessel, so after a brief mini meltdown the fact that the guide was able to get me to sit in one says a lot. He even showed me how easily one could slip in and out of the kayak, taught me the proper way to paddle, about drip rings (who knew those rubber things served a purpose HA!), everything I needed to know to feel comfortable in the kayak. It was such a great experience. And what a great workout, too. I know most people don't think things like that but I was excited to find I had worked up a nice glisten and further research corroborates the fact that kayaking is a great alternative workout. They do full moon paddles, too. I'm excited to try that next. And paddleboarding.

    Barre Evolution
    I've been going there for about three years. Its phenomenal. I joined for a year and the monthly fee is 129 and I can go as many times as I want a month. They have like a ballet bar and some weights and some blocks and some mats. Its a work out based on very small movements like maybe you are on your toes and you're doing a lot of squats and just small isometric movements. Its a really good work out. Its convenient. They have a morning class a couple of times and I can go after I drop off my child. I can take a shower before I go because I'm not all that hot and sweaty when I leave but I feel that I've really gotten a great work out. I've seen the results over the three years.

    Anytime Fitness
    It's a great place to go.  It's been about six weeks we've been going there.  They've got nice equipments and great trainers.  It's a friendly environment and its close by.  They are open twenty four hours and seven days a week so it's great.  I haven't shopped around for price.  They are open on holidays to and everybody has a key card.  We've signed up with them for a year.  They actually offer a free seven day pass or you can also get a fourteen day pass too.  We'll have to just go online and fill it out if you want to go.  We tried it out and we liked it so much that we decided to keep going.
