The Flying Locksmiths - Charleston SC
Chris has been to our home twice... once for an emergency key situation, and a second time for some door locking repairs that were missed entirely by ACE Preferred Inspections. Both jobs were done quickly and effectively... no mess, no problems.

    Shalom Home Solutions
Not only did Shalom home solutions give us a very competitive price they completed everything well ahead of schedule. We even had a few wee extras my wife wanted done, usually companies complain about time and shoot up,the price but Shalom were both exceptionally fair and accommodating ........nothing was ever a problem.

There was only one wee bit on our basement ceiling that I didn't like, a quick phone call to Shalom and they had someone in that afternoon to bring it up to my standards. Great service ......without a doubt one of the best contractors ever to work on my house. We sold the house a few months later and the new buyers commented on the high standard of workmanship in not only the basement but the other parts painted by Shalom Home Solutions.

    Trainum Brothers Glass Co
They were great. They always communicated when they would be here, did a great job, and were very professional. They worked with me to make sure the way they finished the installation was what I wanted and went out of their way to make me happy. I am very picky and these guys were just great. I hired them for several other tasks, including screening in my back porch, replacing some interior doors and windows.

    Remodeling Made Easy Inc.
We were SO fortunate to find Paul and his company on Angie's List! We had purchased our windows through a local distributor and had exhausted the 3 installers they recommended ( 1 showed an expired business license; 1 didn't have a verifiable license; the 3rd quoted an exorbitant price but then fell off the face of the planet when we were finally ready to install - apparently not REALLY wanting the work). Paul rescued us as subsequent companies we contacted would not install windows not purchased thru them. He was punctual, considerate, knowledgable, communicative and flexible. He went to bat for us against the distributor when it was discovered the wrong sized windows had been ordered. He helped mediate and rectify the order which resulted in two additional trips for him. He is prompt and efficient in everything he does. There were no surprises. Our windows look Fantastic and havemade as Huge difference in our utility bill. We would definitely employ Paul again and are quick to recommend him to anyone in the market for window or door replacements.

    Precision Garage Door Service
Technician arrived promptly (in fact he called and said he was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come an hour early). He was personable and professional -- also quite knowledgeable. I had purchased a coupon on Angie's List for a tune-up and wireless keyboard installation for $100. We just purchased this home a few months ago and had no idea when these doors had last been serviced (if ever); the house is nearly 30 years old and the doors, though functional, are definitely older. The technician talked with me about the issues he found -- but he said at this point in time the doors are safe and functional. He did talk with me about what might have to be done in the future and gave me an idea of the cost to replace rollers, the operators, and the door itself, which I found very helpful. He did not pressure me in any way to do more than was needed at this time. Within an hour he had tuned up the doors, installed the wireless keypad, and programmed the keypad and a new remote control. (The remote control was the only additional service I requested at an additional cost of $53.). I was very impressed with Precision and plan to use them for all of our garage door issues in the future.

    Muhler Company, Inc.
The sales agent for Muhler came to our house, took measurements and recommended we replace our 6' doors and transom with 8' doors.  We liked the idea as we thought they would look good and were told they would provide more glass surface and therefore more natural light in our room.  We signed the contract and gave Muhler a down payment of half their project cost estimate (over $5000).  The sales agent said the doors would be installed in mid-January.  However, they did not arrive until 2 months later which we were very upset about!  However we agreed to an installation date near the end of March.  When Muhler showed up to install the doors, both doors were damaged from shipping. One so much it had to be returned to Muhler where we later were told it would cost over $1700 to repair.  The other door had minor damage.  So now we were looking at possibly another month or more delay and having to accept a door that had major repair work done to it by Muhler, not the door manufacturer.  In addition, the doors were 8 ft high but were 4" narrower so the total glass area was actually less then our old doors plus transom.  So much for getting more light in our room as promised. So, given all these problems, we reluctantly decided to cancel the contract.  Muhler accepted no responsibility for the huge delay in the project, or the damage to the doors,  so would not refund any of our over $5000 deposit.  We got a verbal apology but no satisfaction.  Overall, we found the communication from Muhler to be incomplete and many times totally inaccurate.  Also, their contract is worded totally in their favor so if you have a problem, you are totally at their mercy.

    Superior Builders of Charleston
Superior Builders truly are superior.  The quality of work is amazing (other experts we had come through commented how good of a job they did).   Staff were punctual, kind, and even gave us some ideas on how to improve design.  We had minor issues with the screens and Aaron came over immediately to fix it.   We could have gone with a slightly cheaper company but you get what you pay for and we wanted great quality. The quality Aaron provided exceeded the cost.

    Affordable Handyman and Painting Services
Although the work has not been completed yet, David and his crew have done an outstanding job so far. They converted the lower level of our elevated home into a great garage area by installing breakaway walls and overhead doors. They added a large deck on the upper level and are in the process of turning the back porch into a laundry room and mud room. They also installed French doors and large windows facing the deck. We chose Affordable Handyman Services because David seemed to have solutions for the construction problems that the others did not.

    Precision Garage Door Service
They were really nice and they did a great job.  It’s good to know people just work on garage doors! We had a small problem with it going all the way down once he had left our home, but he came right back out and took care of the issue.  I was really happy with the service

    St. John's Building Consultants
Everything went wonderfully.  Workmen were on time and were professional and courteous.  They put a lot of time into these renovations. Great workmanship and curb appeal.  Some problems of which we were unaware were brought to our attention and fixed.  Last minute leaks caused from a rain storm were promptly taken care of by St. Johns even though we already had a ratified contract on the home which was sold in its "as is" condition.  The work performed by St. Johns was well worth the time and effort as the home sold within two weeks of going on the market and closed within the last few days.  I intend to use St. Johns again to do some renovation work on any other house I may buy.  If I do not buy, then I plan to build, and St. Johns will be used for help in designing the house and building it.  I definitely plan on using St. Johns Building Consultants again and highly recommend this company for your building or renovation needs.
