    Doctor was rude. My injury is from an accident and he made it very clear he did not like to treat accident patients. His entire demeanor changed once I mentioned auto accident. He said in many cases they end up not getting paid.

    Dr, Johnny Smith is a wonderful doctor! It is sad that LMC does not except any of the current affordable healthcare policies and they are forcing me and my family to change doctors! If you are in network Dr. Smith is the best! He runs on time and has great bed side manner!! You can not find a better family doctor!

    It has not gone well. It's been one year and a bunionectomy, $2,200, a nerve study, many X-rays, lots of waiting, long and difficult recovery time from the bunionectomy, consider all inconvenience to my family, and I still have pain. Nerve study was less than 30 minutes and my cost, after insurance it cost me $200. And the result was nothing. Nothing! Back to Dr James I go. And every time you go, you will check in with a list of questions asking for info that does not change, but there is no place to say what is actually bothering you. I am very unhappy with my progress and the lack of information about what could be wrong and that I went through surgery that did not resolve the pain. I realize that may not be Dr James fault, but it would be nice if he would give me some indication that he is aware of the cost, inconvenience and my desire to have this resolved. I feel like I must be some kind of medical mystery to him. Also, be aware that when you are quoted costs, it does not include medical facility cost or anesthesia cost. So after you choke on Midlands Ortho cost, you'll get more bills. I would go somewhere else, but the cost and time and difficulty in getting an appointment elsewhere puts me off doing that. I'm doing my part - showing up promptly, paying my bills, following advice. They've not held up their end - making me well.

    I saw a different doctor in 2013 who didn't do anything and my foot just got

    worse over time.  Dr. Methuselah was recommended to me by a friend and fellow MD

    and was great with me from day one.  The surgery was a breeze. Pain was not bad

    at all.  Recovery time is tough.  You're down for some time so be prepared for

    that part if you need something extensive. Dr. Methuselah did an excellent job I

    think because I had little pain and my 4 scars are very faded after only 3

    months of healing. I am still recovering and not in my full shoe collection yet,

    but every week we see improvement and I expect to be back in heels very soon. I

    will trust no other doctor now.  As for the staff and billing it was perfection.

    They handled everything for me and explained the insurance and my share of the

    bill.  Appointments were very easy to make just certain times of the day the

    wait is longer than other times, but that is ok with me when a doctor takes his

    time with his patients.  I want that attention so I feel cared for and know that

    every detail was covered.  I really have no complaints at all.

    After the procedure I had a lot of pain when trying to take care of the nail (getting packing under the nail to pry it up as it healed and grew). Dr. M agreed to do it himself, which meant my coming in to the office every few days. The toe had been very painful for months and restricted my activity and I was just weary of the whole affair, so I was relieved that he went the extra mile to do this for me. He was not at all condescending about the fact that I could not perform this after-care myself.
    I have also seen him for plantar fasciitis and a heel spur. The treatments always worked and I had improvements without more serious procedures.
    He will be performing bunion surgery for me in December.

    I waited for over an hour in the waiting room - which is the norm everytime I've been there. Dr. Stahl prescribed some cough medicine and ordered a chest xray. My issue is not really with this particular visit - it is will the follow up to the visit. A couple months later, my pharmacy requested two refills (at different times) for maintenance medications that I've taken for years and all of the requests were repeatedly DENIED by the Dr's office. I called to find out why they refused to approve refills of standard medication and they said they have a policy that they WILL NOT grant refill requests to a pharmacy but the patient must schedule an appointment (regardless of when the patient last saw the doctor) and only then will they approve a refill. This has to be the most ridiculous policy I have ever encountered! Needless to say I am not going to mess with the hassle and expense (insurance gouging) that this office practices and will be seeing a new doctor in the future.

    Dr. Moran's bedside manner is excellent, very nice doctor and great at what he does. He took care of the calluses and we have scheduled an appointment to deal with my ingrown toenail. He also gave a script for diabetic shoes which should help.

    It went very well. Dr. Limparos showed no hesitation in jumping into the middle of a messy situation that was created by another doctor. He did some diagnostic testing first to make sure he knew where he stood - testing he was very surprised had not been done before by my previous doctor. And then he offered me his best opinion as to how we could fix the problem. I mean...really fix it this time. Not string me along for another 6 months of misery.
    I opted for his plan which was the surgical route. It was scheduled at that appointment and my date was within a week - which was great. I hate having lots of time to stress out about an upcoming event.
    On the day of surgery, Dr. Limparos was on time. Surgery started when it was supposed to and took as long as he said it would. I was back home in my own bed by 11:00 am. Pain control was addressed and enthusiastically supported. I believe not being in pain really allowed me to heal more quickly and get back to my life.
    I did experience issues with my incision that were frightening to me. But a quick call to Gina, Dr. Limparos' nurse, gave me reassurance and usually an appointment the next day. Gina was so sweet and helpful. It was obvious that she truly cares about her patients and wants to serve them in whatever way possible. She was very quick to return phone calls so I was never left wondering for hours (or days!) if I was making the right decision regarding my treatment.
    My experience with Southern Surgical Group could not have been better. They are a class act and they put their patients first.

    I requested that if my situation required a referral that it be to Carolina Urology. I had a couple procedures, everything went well. I had regular follow ups. We first went to Dr Sweazy when he was a single practitioner in a smaller facility because my husband was referred to him for a simple matter. I believe he literally saved my husband's life by actually going beyond the referral reason. He took the time to examine him further and it turned out my husband had prostate cancer and removal was recommended soon. It was just by chance this all came together. After surgery it was later found that the cancer was more aggressive than was originally anticipated. Very good call since my husband probably wouldn't have gotten tested otherwise, at least not for years later.
    This group is efficient. Now of course as is with all physician's offices when they expand and merge with other physician groups and there is more staff, the efficiency slows down; and appointments run slower and you wait, and wait, and communication time is hurried, less involved - and you see others not the Dr. you originally signed up for, however, if the matter was urgent I would insist on Dr. Sweazy not a PA, etc. I wish this wouldn't always happen to physician's group because it always brings down the otherwise perfect environment, and it visits become so mechanical, but I still would rate it an A at this time. If it gets worse in terms of time and accessibility then I will have to deal with that later.

    My husband was extremely nervous from the beginning consultation all the way to the actual procedure. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to us both which helped ease some of the tension he had. The procedure was short, about 30 minutes, the nurse came to get me from the waiting room and then Dr Edmunds reviewed everything that happened and the and quot;do's and don'tsand quot; for the next several days. His bedside manner was great from start to finish. We were very pleased and would recommend him!
