    Carolina Mold Solutions
EXCELLENT. Joels team knows exactly were mold hides and what is causing it. You wont believe this but they can smell where the problem originates. Their work is impeccable, no cutting corners, no schedule delays and their confidence gives you a 25 year warranty. It has been difficult for me to find good quality workmanship in Columbia SC. Carolina Air & Mold Solutions is the exception to the rule. I wish other companies were as professional and proud of their work as this crew is. Definitely second to none!!!

They sent a person out to the house to evaluate the problem and give a quote on the repair. That went fine and a quote was given to me with the assurance that they could cure the problem. I hired them to do the repair. A few weeks later they came to my house and proceeded with the repair. Three days later the repair was done and the result was satisfactory, but not totally fixed. The only problem is that they had parked an old diesel powered van in my new concrete driveway that had a bad oil leak. They left very large black spots on my driveway that i can't get up. I contacted the company about it and they said it was not their responsibility, but they would take care of the problem. It's now been five weeks and nothing has been done. I contacted a professional cleaning service and they gave me an estimate of over $500.00 to do the job.

We left a message thru Angies list around 9pm and received a call first thing in the morning from Corey. We gave the address of our home and emailed photos of the damages. Corey pulled soil sample reports based on our home location and after some research he determined that the type of materials needed to repair the foundation was not something they offered. He recommended 2 other companies that would install a system that would give us better results and save us on costs. Corey was very prompt and professional during the entire process.

All Dry Of The Carolinas Inc
This company does not offer Concrete lifting or mud jacking or polyfill lifting. Even though its web sites including Angie's List say different. Wasted morning clearing room and waiting for appointment. Sales Rep. left a message the night before (which I had not listened too) about wanting to discuss the work needed, but said nothing about not offering the service. Called back 15 minutes before scheduled appointment to say they don't offer the service...Not Happy!!.. about the wasted morning or the misleading website advertising.

We had a great experience with this company. First of all, Brittany in the office was quick to respond and set up appointments to suit our busy schedule. When the scheduled appointment had to be changed to a later time, she called me to let me know and schedule for later. Paul came on time for the rescheduled appointment, completed a thorough inspection, and provided guidance on next steps. Before he started, he told us it was very possible his company would not be the one to do the work we needed. Afterward, he explained what needed to be done and what our next steps should be. Then, within two hours, we received an email with an explanation of what was observed and pictures of areas of concern. We could not have been more pleased with the timeliness and professionalism of this company. When I asked the cost, Paul stated he didn't charge when they couldn't help us. We actually insisted on paying a fee for the evaluation and he gave me a basic charge which was more than reasonable.

They sent out Ansel Hamilton, who was very knowledgeable and professional. He provided a quote and served as my primary contact before, during and after the work. They got on the work immediately and finished as planned. They cleared out all areas of personal items, had insulation removed and replaced, sealed all cracks and spaces, cleared the mold, treated the wood, and dried everything. We also had the encapsulate the crawl space and coordinate replacement of HVAC ductwork. They provided a full warranty with the work. I have since referred them to several friends and neighbors.

    Mount Valley Foundation Services
Dan arrived early to our home and completed the exterior inspection prior to me getting there. Upon my arrival, he inspected our interior cracks and proceeded to tell me what we needed to have done. He did not draw out our plan, nor take any depth measurements to determine how our home was settling. In our 45 minute meeting, the majority was spent comparing what he could do better than the competitor, trying to point out faults in the competitor rather than highlight his team's successes - RED FLAG. He recommended 8 driven piles to fix our foundation. When he gave me the price, I asked if there was any way to discount it. He said he could remove one pile - RED FLAG. Why did he recommend 8 piles, then when I asked for a discount, remove 1 pile?
We decided to go with a competitor, who's prices were higher, but they agreed to match the prices that Mount Valley gave us. They didn't change the scope of their plan, they just gave us a discount.
We felt that Dan's plan was given in a rushed manner with no consideration. There were too many red flags in our meeting to do business with them.

    Ram Jack of South Carolina
Dissapointing. I made an appointment for a free home inspection for a home I was about to purchase. The technician came early and met with the current owner. Upon my arrival, the tech was leaving. I informed him that I was the one who set the appointment. He said- "oh ok well- the house is fine". I then pointed out a couple of locations where the foors dipped he said it was not a structural issue- ok. I then showed him major cracks in the brick on both sides of the inside garage wall and he said it was normal settling and not a structural issue if you can't see same damage on the outside wall in same area. I then asked if he inspected the crawl space where the pillars were. He NEVER went into the crawl space! I asked if he could please take a look at the pillars and foundation so he suited up, crawled inside and came out within 5 minutes. "all looks good" he said. I then showed him cracks in the concrete front porch and how the wood railing was shifted- "normal settling" he said. Basically, his inspection consisted of walking around the inside looking for cracks in the interior walls that could have easilly been hidden with spackle and paint days or weeks ago. He left and I really did not feel satisfied with the quality of inspection. Perhaps I am just picky. I DID hire two different home inspectors, HVAC inspector and an electrician in addition to RamJack and I have since purchased the home and wouldn't you know- they ALL missed something that they shouldn't have. I trust no one anymore!  I suggest you grab as many home inspections as you can. Good thing RamJack's was free but I would get a second opinion.

The men came when they were scheduled, worked in the wet and cold to complete the job and finished quicker than planned. They were professional, informative and courteous. All around a positive experience.

They actually haven't done the job yet.  They quoted me probably around $12000.  I got them out and they did a complete assessment under the house and inside the house.  They then did the diagram and gave me a quote based on what they found.
