Radon Testing reviews in Indian Land

Alpha & Omega Home Inspections LLC
Joe showed up on time for the appointment on the coldest rainy day imaginable for a home inspection. He was truly prepared for things like this to happen and had multiple changes of clothes and shoes ready so that he could give equal attention to the interior and the exterior of the home.
He worked on the inspection for a few hours and when he was ready to review the results we gathered in the kitchen and he went over all the results. He listed out everything that was found and for the detailed explanations we went directly to the area of concern, even if that meant going outside in the cold rain.
What stood out to me as above and beyond the duties expected was the fact that he helped me prioritize the list of issues and offered helpful and detailed explanations of how I could a lot fix these things myself. He was extremely thorough and pointed out stuff that I had no idea about, like the anti-tip bracket for the oven to protect it from flipping over on a child standing on the door.
I asked him a lot of random questions about things not covered by the home inspection (like phone and data lines) and he answered all that for me too, even though he was not obligated.
This was my first experience with a home inspector and I was going off of a word of mouth recommendation from a friend. I am completely satisfied with the results. I probably will not need his services again for a few years but I feel 100% confident that I (or any friends I recommend him to) would get equal results. Buying a home was such a whirlwind of activity with numerous faces involved and it was really nice to have someone as friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable as Joe around.

A Rock Solid Home Inspection LLC
Everything went well. He was not only punctual, he was early. He was thorough. He was accommodating and personable. The results of the inspection was provided in a written report within hours and he o took photos showing details of items needing repair. The results of the radon with an explanation was provided immediately after the 72 hour testing. I was very pleased with the job done by Mark and he worked with my schedule. I would highly recommend him.

Since the inspection and since the review, I have had contact with Mark Pondo and he continues to be helpful and receptive.
I liked his website because it lists all of his pricing and you know the costs up front. That helped me decide to go with Mark and his pricing is competitive with other vendors. In addition, he had some discounts that other inspection companies did not have.
I find Mark to be a stand-up guy and again would highly recommend him.

    Radon Specialists LLC
We called Radon Specialist and left a message. Mr Penning called us back, but we were not at home so we played phone tag for a day. When we finally did speak we setup and appointment for the next day. Mr. Penning was on time. He explained everything that we needed  to  know and made us feel very comfortable about everything that needed to be done. At first he scheduled us for the following Monday but that was a problem for us. He was then able to start our job on the Friday before, which worked out perfectly for us. The actual labor takes two days and the followup test takes another two days, so the whole job was completed in four days. When all was said and done Andy dropped our level down to 1.2 pCi/l. The noise from all the drilling and the dust were the most annoying thing about the whole process but is a small price to pay for acceptable levels.

    Carolina Radon Mitigation
Robert Howard responded very quickly to my request for an estimate and was able to do the work on the next weekend which was very convenient for us.  He was very patient when the builder's pipe was not the expected size and he had to go get additional parts.  He was very professional, clean and tidy, and explained everything he was doing.  Our next radon test (30 days later) was reduced and within acceptable limits.  He explained a lot about radon to us, and told us not to use a radon test kit from a big box store because they can be stored in a warehouse that could already expose the kit to radon particles.  He explained how to use the state testing service for radon.  I would recommend him to my neighbors.

    Eye Spy Carolina Home Inspection
We are extremely pleased that we chose to use Eye Spy to do phased inspections on our new home as it was being built. Daryl checked the foundation before and after it was poured, pre-drywall installation, and then again for final inspection as well as radon inspection. He is a custom builder as well as an inspector, so he brings a lot more to the inspections than just textbook knowledge. He was good at finding items that we would not have found, as are most inspectors. But he went above and beyond, spending time on the phone with us, answering our questions as to the importance of negotiating repairs/changes to be made by the builder. He was really good at explaining the technical issues behind some of the items he found and wanted us to have as close to perfect a house as you can have with a high volume builder. He spent extra time with us on the day of our punch list/ walk through. I can't say enough about Daryl as well as Kelly who works with him answering emails, phone calls and she is also very knowledgeable and so helpful with our questions. They were always prompt answering phone calls or emails. As far as how much he charges, about the same as others I checked with. We paid for multiple inspections along the way, and most people might choose to do only a final inspection, but we feel it was definitely money well spent to give us the peace of mind of having someone with building knowledge in our corner every step of the way. And items were found that would have been covered up behind drywall, and we would never have known about them with only a final inspection. So yes, we are very happy with our experience with Eye Spy Inspections.
