  • He used a scope to look up in my sinuses and told me that I didn't have any polyps in my sinuses that he thought that my problems were just allergys.he scheduled me to have allergy test but when I got there that day for the test he was not there to do the test something had come up. I never rescheduled the allergy test I had to make payments for my first visit for several months because the bill was several hundred dollars because of the scope thing he did and I just have not rescheduled. But I really liked him he was very nice and very easy to talk I trusted him completely he seemed to be a very good doctor if you need a ear,nose, and throat doctor.

  • Doctor never even made any apologies. |It is difficult to get an appt. at this practice as you have to wait on the phone line forever (on hold) before the appointment service answers!! Dr. Denton is my doctor in this practice, but I have not been happy with the results and would love to go back to my previous orthopedics in Virginia!! Very dissatisfied.

  • As I laid on the table, going through the pre op prep, the attending nurse was asking me the required medical questions. While she was continuing to fill out the form, taking note of my name, she asked if I was related to a cousin who had died recently. She knew this cousin who had worked in a Belks Store in Hartsville. She briefly commented on the great friendship they'd had and then continued with the medical questions. This nurse was very professional, warm and friendly, and great at putting me at ease so I would not be nervous. Suddenly, Dr. Williamson stuck his head into the curtain and yelled at the nurse, and quot;What is taking you so long? You better hurry up!and quot; She said, with a pale face, and quot;I am about tinished with the patient, doctor, and we are ready anytime you are.and quot; I could see tears in her eyes. I suddenly felt uncomforable and felt so sorry for the nurse. I told her I was sorry that he spoke to her in such a cruel manner and commended her for the good job she was doing. She thanked me and left the room. A few minutes later he came in to do the procedure which is already difficult enough for the patient which involves putting a light tube down the esophagus for the exam. I was wishing I could cancel and leave the room. I was almost in tears and nervous. I did not want an angry doctor in a bad mood operating on me! I was relieved when it was over.
    The next day I called his office and spoke with the office manager. I told her how badly I felt for the nurse and wanted to know if she was okay. I wanted her to know that she had my support and sympathy and appreciation for her kindness and professionalism. I requested an apology from Dr. Williamson to the nurse and to me. I told the office I would never return to Dr. Williamson. The office manager called back to say that the doctor was sorry. She did not say if he apologized to the nurse but did say the nurse appreciated my call.

    I will never return to this doctor or recommend him to anyone. He has the wrong name; to me, he is not so 'bright.' This week I went to another gastoenterologist in Columbia and found him to be wonderful.

  • Everything was good. Doctors' offices aren't usually punctual but it was good. The office staff is very friendly. I really like my doctor; he's excellent. I haven't had any problems with the billing.

  • My husband's surgery was excellent. Robotic surgery is the way to go. He had very little down time from work and is 100% cancer free today.
