Interior Painting reviews in Hanahan

    Custom Carolina Construction LLC
Carson was great to deal with from start to finish. Ive come back to Angies List to leave a review because I found him on this site and wanted to share my experience with you so you can benefit from my high recommendation like I did from the other reviews. I thought his price was very fair (lower than others I got) and not only did he quite the job but he and a helper did the work. This wasnt a deal where one guy quotes the job and someone else does the work. I give him my highest recommendation.

    Quality Painting Services
I have used Albert on multiple occasions and will continue to call for my painting and pressure washing needs. He was prompt and courteous, he made sure I understood the work that would need to performed to complete the job properly. He then delivered a quality job at the price we agreed on. You could tell that he had a lot of experience in his trade.

    Freeman Repair And Remodeling LLC
He did respond quickly but said he could not help us with any of our needs.  If you are a home repair company you should be able to provide home repairs. He told us we needed a licensed plumber, electrician, and roofer.  What does this company do then?  Are you licensed to repair anything?

    St. John's Building Consultants
Paul quickly deduced the problem and showed us that the mold hadn't gotten behind the surround and only the caulking would need to be replaced. Normally, it would have been too small a job for him to take on but it was the day before Thanksgiving and he graciously offered to do the repair. We were impressed with his work ethic, professionalism and dedication to service. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again when we consider a full renovation of the master bath.

Shawn did an awesome job. He was very courteous/punctual and kind to work with.  I was selling my house and he painted some walls/trim and the ceilings in most rooms.  I showed him my master bedroom and he said there was a few details that needed improving but I told him we did the master and don't worry about it.. over the few days he showed me how he patched something up that didn't look right to him and wanted my home to look great for selling. I told him I didn't need that done..he said my gift to you merry xmas... that was very nice of him. He also painted the inside of my cupboard for me without an extra charge.  I thought his price was good for the timeframe I needed it done in and he got it done before the day he said he would finish. all and all,, I would recommend him totally for anyone looking for a great job to be done. God bless you Shawn and your family.

Jimmy and his workers were a pleasure to work with.  They painted the interior of my house from ceilings to baseboards, walls & all trim.  Excellent job & I am very pleased with them.  Would highly recommend them and would use them again.

    In a Pinch Construction, LLC
To begin with, the owner (TJ) is professional, clearly intelligent, and has a good business model. In a Pinch came recommended from a real estate agent, and after entertaining 3 bids, I went with In a Pinch because they were by far the lowest. (Last time I do that).

General gripes include that work crews never showed up on time - not once, out of something like 20 interactions with them. 20 minutes was the minimum level of "lateness". In my opinion that shows unprofessionalism, and a lack of respect for my time, and inability to clean up or take even basic precautions to prevent large messes in a workspace.

At the newly purchased house, I had a room sheet rocked, and a bunch of intercoms taken down and the walls patched. Initially, the work was done well. (Sheet rock put up, mudded etc). The breakdowns began with scheduling the finishing of the job, the painters, and an overall lack of attention to detail. It took over a week longer to do the work than was promised, and at that point I gave up on trying to get In A Pinch to finish the job; the painter had to come back something like 5 times just to get paint on all the surfaces and not have spots left. I had to go back afterwards and finish off the area around a bar in the room, and fix the area around the stairs because they left gaps with no molding. This was after charging me an additional 300 dollars for molding - you'd think they could at least fill everything in. The crews also did not put up ANY precautions for dust spreading, and I had to have a professional cleaner come in and clean my house (and I'm still getting sheetrock dust out of it 3 months later), because it was so filthy. This is after one of the crew members promised me he'd clean my house - this consisted of him vacuuming one room with a shop vac, and leaving drops of paint, big pieces of dried mud, etc, all over my hardwood floors and my carpets.

At that point I should have not used them for the townhouse, but after speaking with the owner he assured me the same mistakes would not be repeated. Unfortunately, they got worse.

I spent close to a month trying to get the simple paint job at the townhouse finished up. At one point I was promised by the painter, a walkthrough on three separate occasions that I wasted hours of time waiting for him to show up, with no call, no show. And we're not talking about small things - we're talking about obvious gaps in painting around HVAC controllers, entire walls not painted (that were covered in scuff marks and clearly not painted), repairs made on walls and not sanded down,

After finally having a walkthrough and showing the painter the problems, he came back and did more work on the house, including painting a ceiling that was supposed to have been painted the first time through (which he simply patched, and painted a 2 foot by 2 foot area that looked awful). His touch up work was so bad, it rose to the level of vandalism of my home. It looked as if he rolled the entire ceiling with one charge of the roller, with massive streaks of unpainted strips running down the ceiling. I don't believe I've ever seen such poor workmanship, or lack of professionalism.

At that point I lost my composure and left a strongly worded voicemail for the owner, and followed up with an email threatening legal action.

The next business day, everything was resolved. That is not how you do business, especially in this town. I think TJ's heart is in the right place, but his staff simply have poor work ethic, and limited attention to detail. Its clear to me they could care less if the work is done properly, and there is no oversight of work to ensure that they get it done properly and on time.

Unless and until In a Pinch can fix this problem, I cannot in any way recommend them. Remember, lowest price is not always best value. I'm planning to do a 15-20k remodel of my master bathroom in 3 months...and I will not be going with the lowest price!

    Paragon Painting

We have been upgrading the interior of our home for at least two and a half years. During that time we have had contractors provide installation of *windows, doors and hurricane window protection, *quartz countertops with recessed double sink, *carpeting throughout, *appliances, including garbage disposal, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, aluminum screening for the back porch. No contractor has come even close to Paragon Painting in pricing, staying within time parameters, professionalism or effectiveness of service.

Paragon's father and son team brought a high quality paint that is washable and beautiful. In order to use that paint, they first moved the furniture out of the way, laid a drop cloth that was not needed because they dripped no paint, evened the walls for bumps and blemishes, caulked everywhere it appeared even remotely necessary, and moved the furniture back to its original position. When they left the house was even cleaner and neater than it was when they started.

I really did not want to give this review, as we intend to have Paragon back, in a few months to paint our trim work and garage. I've been afraid that if too many folks see such a glowing report it may be difficult to get a good schedule this time.

Paragon proves that not all contractors are 'McDonalds' quality.

    Simply Interior & Exterior Painting
They did a decent job however left it with several small details
unfinished- painting the molding, finish trim over sink, etc).  They had
a larger job starting and a grand child on the way- which I totally
understood.  They stated they could come back in Jan; but being the
realistic person I am told them I couldnt wait that long and would
contract someone else to finish.  At that point they got really angry
and left.  I feel like their attitude is unprofessional- getting angry
over me saying I didn't want to wait a month for them to finish as well
    as bad mouthing other contractors.
Upon further review of the backsplash, I noticed a few tiles were put on backwards.  All in all I would not use them again.

My husband and I have hired Dave multiple times and each time we have been extremely satisfied with the work that was done. He is very professional and always completes each job within the timeframe that was given. Also, the quality of work performed is top notch! We will definitely use this company again in the future for any paint related job.
