My washing machine wasn't draining. We tried all the error codes on newer washing machine. They came out, they told me my washing machine was still under warranty and for like the dryer. They told me everything that was still under warranty for like 10 years. He found the problem and fixed it in less than an hour and like charged me $90.00 and that included replacing the part.

Went horribly wrong from the beginning.... arrived a day late... took over an hour and thirty minutes to diagnose problem.... once figured out, the grand total came to be $416.50!!! ***! FIRST OFF THE **** SERVICE CALL WAS 89.95! .....another $50 deposit for them to order parts.... AND THEN ANOTHER $326.55 for the parts and install! STAY AWAY FROM AVIV SERVICE TODAY!!!!! YOU DEFINITELY WON'T GET SERVICE THE SAME DAY....AND IF YOU DO, YOU WON'T LIKE THE COST! We are better off getting a brand new DRYER! SMDH!

Joe is a very nice man. I called him at 6:00 pm and the next morning he was at my home. He made a good assessment of the problem, and honest and fair about the cost of repair. The machine was not worth the cost of the part. So I paid him for the service call, and would call him again. I have to get a new machine.

The provider, AVIV ,came out promptly after a phone call. My dishwasher was leaking  and I used Angie's List to pay for a small appliance repair. The workman was very knowledgeable about dishwashers. After he found the leak in my dishwasher ( which was a hose) he also noticed that my garbage disposal was leaking. I thought I was going to set up a separate appointment. The workman said the he had one in the truck(WOW!) and he installed it. I was thrilled not the have to pay another diagnostic fee.

He looked in a professional notebook that listed all the types of jobs and how much. I liked that the prices are written out regulated instead of just some number price with no documentation. I would use them again.

They did the work a couple of weeks ago. We had a coupon from Angie's List that we applied. We had to order a part so it was like $120 for the service. They did a good service. We even had a loose screw on our dishwasher, I wasn't sure where it came out of but they fixed it at no charge. I would use them again, they are on my phone book.

    Elite Appliance Service LLC
After another company failed to return calls, I turned to Elite based on the reviews.  The tech came out the next day to diagnose the problem.  I didn't get a good feeling about the tech's competence.  It took an very long time to determine the problems.  There also was some kind of installation problem with the stove that required the supervisor(Tom?) to come to the house.  Things went somewhat smoothly after that.  Estimates were given and parts were ordered.
The same tech came out to install the two parts.  He was here from 9:45 to 3:45.  This is entirely too long for an experienced technician.  When I checked to see if the expandable element was working properly, it was painfully evident he didn't know what he was doing.  The element is supposed to expand from a small burner to a large one by flipping a switch.  He had it wired backwards so that the outer ring stayed on continuously and the inner ring was controlled by the switch.  He tried to tell me that that was the way it worked.  He called his supervisor and got straightened out.  My stove is still not installed properly, but I'll take care of that.
I need a tech that is experienced so I will not use their services again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

It was a wonderful experience.  I was able to get a same day appointment which was wonderful.  Our repair person gave us a call when he was on his way, he was very professional, personable and cleaned up behind his work.  I would use Aviv for future repairs.

    Aviv Service Today

On July 12, I returned home to a non functioning fridge/freezer. I was referred to Appliance Dr by a friend. Appliance came out replaced a relay switch, left. Still not working. Returned said I needed a new fan motor. Ordered fan motor. Waited. Came out  on Aug. 6 to install fan motor. Told me it should kick on as soon as the freezer got cold. Never happened. Later that same day I called Aviv and scheduled a diagnostic service for Aug 7. Nate came and conquered. The board(?) was shorted out. I OK'd overnight delivery and today Aug 8 Nate returned installed a new board. Now the fan actually works, the freezer is getting cold and the fridge is cooler too. Aviv is my new go to for appliance repair! They should have been my first call.

Regarding Appliance Dr. seems they only change parts and do not diagnosis the true problem. Also they don't tell you that if your built-in needs to be pulled out they can't/won't do it.

The company immediately called to find out the specs of the washer and the problem, and gave me a service charge price.  Jim, a real fantastic guy by the way, came out and evaluated the problem and told me what was going on; took some pics of the error display message; and gave me a replacement cost for the part within seconds of his office contacting him back. That was it! As he was loading up his tools, I asked him about our refrig that had not produced ice in a few years and asked if he felt we should replace the icemaker or not. He checked it out based on his experience with the refrig company, did some resetting, and, voila! the thing actually produced ice after all this time!! However, it didn't produce a bucket like we'd hope. So when Jim came back to install the part for the washing machine, he got the information from the refrig and ordered the part needed to produce ice-now everything works! All pricing was upfront with no surprises. We are so pleased with this company that they'll be our go-to for appliances from now on. They did outstanding work!

    All-City Appliance Repair
We bought a coupon for this company and used it for a diagnostic of our leaky filter in our refrigerator. Royce determined that we needed to block off the in-fridge system and install an exterior filtration system. We paid up front for the parts, then again after installation. The disappointing part was that he did not use any protection for our hardwood floors and after rolling the 'fridge back and forth twice, we now have permanent grooves/scratches in our hardwood kitchen floor! It would seem that someone who does this for a living would know to bring some floor protection when rolling a heavy refrigerator across the floor, hence the "D" grade for professionalism.  The install of the new filtration system is fine, but we have to look at the floor EVERY day. We are still considering what to do about this situation. Given what it will cost to have the floors sanded and refinished, this will end up being a VERY EXPENSIVE  repair! This is why I can not in good conscience recommend All-City Appliance Repair.
