Great!! Enrique did a fantastic job. We compared four companies and Valdez Landscaping definiteld had the best price, the quickest install and they did a beautiful job. Very impressed and if we need their services again we will definitely call Valdez Landscaping. Extremely nice to deal with. A+A+A+

Initial appointment/quote was OK however during install and after went downhill fast. The materials used were sub-par along with the work. Immediately the gates were falling off the hinges, the wood warped. I continually called, texted and e-mailed my concerns and was assured would be out "soon". No show a lot of the time. I do NOT recommend this company.

I had someone come out to my home to measure my yard for a fence. I was told that they would email me a quote in 2 weeks....2 months later...I still haven't received a quote. Guess my business wasn't important.

Do not hire David Soignoli. He sold us on his experience and 1 year guarantee, but he hired inexperienced kids and no longer answers any form of communication, despite multiple issues with the work. Do not trust him. Detail: We hired David to do a lot of work to our new house's yard. We hired him to bring in fill dirt and level out the backyard, and to install irrigation, 26 pallets of sod, drainage pipes, and a privacy fence, a $17k job. We had a contract with a 50/50 payment plan (50 up front, 50 at the end) and a one year guarantee on the work. There were multiple issues with the job. First was the crew. David hired the crew off of Craigslist (he told us) and regularly complained how unreliable 17 year olds were. Rather than be there to supervise, he would leave them by themselves. He treated them unprofessionally with me present, and the crew was also unprofessional. They used and took my tools and gas cans, went to the bathroom in the yard and did not clean it up, etc. David eventually fired a few of them, and one of them peeled out, messing up both my and my neighbors yard. After completing the job, the crew told me it was their first time installing a sprinkler system and first time installing a fence, and that David was not present the majority of the time. Second was the work. There was supposed to be 5 truckloads of fill dirt to fix the 4-5ft high ledge along the backside of the property. Instead, David only brought in 3 but did not drop the price because he said it was more than he thought it'd be. The grading has turned out to not be sufficient, as the back has already started to wash out. The 26 pallets of sod were laid before the sprinkler system was in, which resulted in a large amount (10 pallets worth), dying. The drainage system for the gutters was paid to have them run to the back of the property. Instead, we have found that they only extend part way, ending in the middle of the yard, or in some cases, just with the tube sticking out of the ground. The sprinkler system has terrible pressure and coverage. After speaking with another company, it is due to the design and execution of the system. Additionally, the work is shoddy with exposed wires and no backflow preventer (despite us paying for one). Finally, the fence was not built well. The horizontal braces are spaced too close together, resulting in the top and bottom of the pickets warping in or out. The gates no longer open all the way, and the cheap $13 hardware from home depot (that we were charged $75 each for) is sagging. Finally, was David's professionalism and follow-through. We were on a 50/50 payment plan, but David approached us 80% through asking to pay for what had been completed (another $5k). I, trusting, did. David told us that he was experienced and would be there to supervise, but as I mentioned, we were told by the crew he was not (taking advantage of the fact I traveled for business and my wife worked long shifts). David said he has a one year guarantee on the work, but he not responded to any communication (phone, email, text, thumbtack message, etc). Do not hire

David responded quickly to my inquiry for a quote. Walked me though the fence process and what to look for in replacing the fence. He outlined what his crew would be doing and gave a price in line with the competition. David remained flexible as we ran into a snag with our HOA. The crew arrived and installed the 4x4 posts the first day and let the concrete set. The following day they installed the pickets, and the day after placed the flat top and trim boards. The crew was mindful of our yard and landscaping and at the end of each day they cleaned the yard of debris. They were all polite and answered any question I had. Would definitely hire them again and will be recommending them to those with building projects.

David was nice and the vinyl fence was put up promptly and has worked great. We are pleased with the quality of fence and how it was installed. Our only problem is customer service and getting someone out fix an issue. The contrast says they will guarantee their work for a year from instillation. A few months after the fence was installed though, there were a few places that had gaps from where the fence wasn't flush with the fence post. I talked to David and he said he would come out and look at it and fix it. It was a simple solution and easy to fix. This was back in April and I still haven't heard from him. I've called the office and his cell and now they won't return my phone calls. Extremely poor customer service.

Dallas and Nick are awesome. They came out to measure and talk within a couple of days of us calling them and got us the quote the same day, They replied to all my many e-mails that I sent with questions immediately. They came every morning early and stayed until just about dark every night - they had asked us up front how late could they stay to work. Very reasonable, very professional - they asked questions as to what we wanted to do if they hit a snag because our lot was so unlevel. The fence turned out awesome and even our neighbor who hates fences sent us an e-mail complimenting them and their work ethic and how beautiful the fence turned out

Overall we are very pleased with our new patio and fully-fenced backyard. I'm glad we chose David to do the work since we discovered wood rot after removing the old deck. He was able to quickly repair what had been done incorrectly by the original owner and save future headaches. He didn't try and take advantage of the bill from the added work either.

The Good:  The final result is well constructed and attractive.  The gates are very sturdy, with quality hardware.  The contractor did an excellent job of cleanup and left the site in good condition.  I am pleased with the final result.

    The Not So Good:
    • The overall job took an extraordinarily long time.  I contracted with the company in March, 2015.  There was a short delay to obtain approval from our Home Owners Association and the first portion of the work (removal of the old fence and installation of the new fence) was completed in June, 2015 - longer than I would have liked, but acceptable. The second portion of the job (staining the new fence) was expected to begin approximately 90 days later to allow for the wood to dry and be suitable for staining.  There was a contractually stipulated completion date of no later than 11/20/2015.  It appears that the contractor waited until very late in the contract period to schedule the work and then rainy and cold weather made it difficult to complete on time.  The staining was not actually done until April, 2016!  That is more than a year after we first contracted for the work.
    • Removal of the old fence was problematic.  The contractor appears to prefer to cut old fence posts slightly below ground level rather than removing them.  I do not recall any warning that this would be done.  Our old fence included brick pillars, so the contractor was forced to physically remove nearly all of our old fence posts.  He removed a few of them by pulling them up with a line attached to the back of his truck.  He did not have equipment sufficiently strong to do this and actually snapped the line once (a potentially dangerous situation).  The remaining posts were removed by using an auger to dig around the base of the post and then manually pulling/lifting them out.
    • Lawn Irrigation Lines were cut in a number of places.  This was a potential situation which the contract specifically stated that the contractor was not liable.  Never-the-less, it was irritating and increased the overall cost of the project by several hundred dollars.
    • Scheduling when work would be performed was very challenging.  I could not get any firm date for the start of work, and the contractor would just give me a call a short time before starting.  That made it very difficult to coordinate with a neighbor who had a pet that needed to be confined while the fence between our properties was down.
    • The cost for the Staining increased substantially.  The contractor began the staining job by power washing the fence to remove dirt and debris.  At this point he realized that he had significantly underestimated his cost for doing the work, and asked to increase his price.  He also volunteered to terminate the contract for the staining at no cost to me.  We worked out an acceptable price increase, but the cost for this portion of the project more than doubled.

from the quote to the punctuality to the work, would definitely recommend and use this contractor in the future.  The work got put off a couple of weeks due to rain, but cant really help that.  Excellent job all in all
