The windows were late coming in due to the fact that the business in Fla. closed and they had to be ordered someplace else. The actual aluminum structure was started but the windows were not so the actual construction was not completed until 2/22/2019 at a cost of $15,533.00. On 5/4/2019 we experienced a roof leak on the table, TV and onto the floor. David sent out workers who replaced the tape on the roof. David later said he was not aware of what they found and repaired but talked about putting in gutters to divert the water from the roof, which was never done. On 6/24/2019 we had a major leak following a rain storm which entered on the right side and continued all across that side and behind the couch. Again called David and he came out and caulked the area he said was leaking. I mentioned a French drain, but he said they do not do landscaping and again gutters were mentioned. On 7/13/2019 following a heavy rain, water had come on the right side again where the caulking was done and came in across the back wall at the bottom, with a large amt. of water behind a table, TV table and continued across the entire back to the other side. The electrical strip was in water. Following an hour of sopping up water with towels, drying towels and continuing to sop up water, I was extremely angry and called David (a Sat.) and told him that this was the third time we have had water in the room and it needed to be repaired NOW! He knew I was not happy. I called again that day, two times on 7/14. three times on 7/15 and another message on 7/16, all messages left on his cell and business phone. It was obvious he was ignoring me which I told him, that this was not fixing the problem and only made matters worse. A friend later called David's cell and he did answer that number. He told my friend he did not answer my calls as I was angry, it was the week-end and he had been out of town.He told my friend that he would come out and look at it (we have pics of all water problems), but would NOT put in a drain. He said he thought that the concrete patio had been added after the house had been built, had not settled correctly and was sloping. I had told David before (when the second leak occurred) that was something he should have thought of before starting this project. He said he would come out on 7/17 and did so, still not offering any way to correct the problem. The grass was high and wanted me to call him when it was cut so he could see under the concrete. He was called 4 times within a week following our grass mowing and has yet to return our calls. Updated 7/31/2019: Had a screened porch extended over a patio to enclose as a sunroom. Please see previous review. Review Text: Please see previous review. Lynn B. Bruce Today, July 31,2019, David returned our numerous calls and said that he would come out and see what could be done IF the negative review shown on Angies List, was removed. Of course the answer was no. I could not believe he even called and asked me to do this. I wonder how many other people were asked the same thing, and did so. This is dishonest.

My deck concept was an original with some real challenges. DG Builders delivered! The quality of the decking matched the quality of labor. Very friendly, dedicated, and a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend this group for your next project. Thank you, David, for an outstanding deck.

The Master Bedroom project permit was pulled on November 11 and Mom moved in on January 20th. This work included gutting old living room, new foundation for bathroom, closet and front porch. Precision Carpentry allowed us to pick out all the fixtures and major components. The quality was above what I expected, timing met our schedule and cost was right on target.

    A.B.W. Construction
We have worked with a lot of construction companies over the years, and ABW was by far the most professional. They did quality work down to the smallest detail and had excellent communication. They made sure that the design details were exactly what we wanted several times throughout the project. They consistently kept us up to date on the progress and made sure we were pleased. We were so impressed and will use them again in the future. I have to reiterate my statement on communication. We've never had another contractor of any type maintain the level of communication and professionalism that ABW did through the entire process. Thank you for a great experience! We love our new front door and portico!

We set up an appointment for the contractor to come out and bid on some renovation work we were having done. He was late for the appointment but no big deal at that stage, took some measurements, wrote things down that we wanted to have done, and gave us some options for the driveway we wanted to pour. We expressed that we needed a bid completed in an urgent manner for the type of loan we were doing and he assured us that it would not be an issue. To date, we have still not received a bid and had to take our services elsewhere. Completely disappointed in the services (or lack thereof) that we received especially after we had shared with him our grievances with another contractor. It has been almost 2 months and DG Builders has not even let us know that they won't be able to place the bid. Unprofessional.

Excellent. The quality of construction is superior to many other structures I have seen. David goes beyond what he commits. He would also bring in his experience to suggest what would really give more character to structure and accommodates changes as desired. He sticks to his estimates. Overall a very nice and friendly personality himself and it shows in his team too.

It went very well, all of the workers were professional, courteous and cleaned up very well after the work was done. We would definitely hire them again. Mark Crosby was always available to talk to us when we called and he took care of any issues in a timely manner.

Overall we are very pleased with our new patio and fully-fenced backyard. I'm glad we chose David to do the work since we discovered wood rot after removing the old deck. He was able to quickly repair what had been done incorrectly by the original owner and save future headaches. He didn't try and take advantage of the bill from the added work either.

After a several day delay, the supplier finally contacted me requesting direct contact info. Provided the info. Supplier called and left a message, Called back and had to leave a message for the supplier to call me back. After several days they called back and left a message. I called them back and never heard from them again. Tried to set up an appointment once before through their website, but never heard back then either.

PorchMasters wants significant funds (~40%) upfront to get started were reluctantly flexible on this. They started the work a week early (last week of March, with a planned start date of early April), stating that they could complete the entire project in less than a month. Ultimately they didnt complete the project until late AUGUST. Specific issues were as follows: Post-demolition, the old & new railings were left off the raised deck; my back door was nailed shut for months for safety, leaving the area unusable for most of the summer The board nailed across my back door was removed / installed multiple times leaving many nail holes in the trim around the door Their design efforts and project execution arent terribly thoughtful. Not sure they have credible experience in this business. - Poor placement of a downspout (eventually moved after I repeatedly expressed discontent), limited guidance on screening the underside of the porch, and no suggestion to add dimmers on lights on the porch Materials were left in my drive way for weeks Key pieces of the railing around my deck were thrown away during construction and ultimately replaced with similar (but poorly matched) materials Not particularly thorough in cleaning up the job site leaving scrap material in my garage, basement, yard, etc Electrician made 4 to 5 trips to work the simple job - cutting wires on existing fixtures disabling them, and ultimately left me with 6 switches in place where only 5 were needed. Columns around my porch were installed without even spacing between them and not straight. They were so far off, the untrained eye could see the gross error. This was eventually resolved. Fairly responsive to phone calls, texts, emails.. but never showed on the job site as promised. Project managers / owners rarely showed their face relying on subs to do the work unmonitored, and leaving me to check behind them. This 4 week job turned into 4 months and the owners of PorchMasters (Nick Hall and Chris Breen) dont seem to care. I had to review work daily and call upon them to come resolve issues. The constant excuse was to blame their subs (not my problem). I didnt hire them so I could be the project manager. They arent cheap, they do average work, and they are irresponsibly & unprofessionally slow. I would not refer them to anyone.
