    Timberline Tree Service LLC
With the help of Angie's List we located a tree service in our area.  Mr. Ellis of Timberline Tree Service promptly came to our house and gave us a quote to take down a small tree in our yard.  It had recently rained so he said he wanted to wait until the next week to take down the tree and that seemed very reasonable.
The following week came....and was almost over when we placed another call to find out where he was.  We received a call back telling us that we were scheduled for "May 20th" (yet another week away). Although I told the caller that was not what was agreed upon she insisted that we were scheduled for the 20th.
Today was the 20th and at 7pm the tree was still standing in my yard. We had called and asked for an update - but received no call back.  At 7 pm we called and left a message that we had someone else lined up to remove the tree.
I would not recommend his services. He has been a no show for us twice over a three week period.

He gives free estimates and has twenty plus years of experience. He has all of his own equipment and is licensed and ensured. They do stump grinding, tree trimming and removal. They did an outstanding job. Everyday when they were done there was not a branch left in my yard. They were wonderful.

Troy showed up as scheduled the job was a two day job, unfortunately his bobcat broke down. He had to get it fixed and return to the job site. The weather was also a factor as we got rain which caused a delay. The bottom line is he made sure I was kept informed of everything and even with the challenges he completed the work doing an excellent job.

    Ferqueron & Sons Tree Service
The crew was prompt, polite, and seemed knowledgeable.  Arriving at the appointed time, the crew got to work right away.  They tried to do as little damage to the yard as possible and they were fairly successful.  The trees were removed in sections so there was no damage to other plantings, and the lawn damage was limited to the space immediately surrounding the tree trunks.  A chipping machine was part of their equipment and the trees were ground up on site.  (I asked about the cedar remains, and they had no problem leaving the cedar chips in a pile for me to use as mulch around the house.)
The work took most of the afternoon, but it was done and cleaned up in one afternoon.  The stumps were left, but I was made aware that they did not remove tree stumps when we first talked about the job.  I was not happy to have my trees removed, but they did a good job and I was very satisfied with the service.

He is very reasonably priced. He is very professional and courteous. He showed up when he said he would. Was more than happy to show that he was insured. He was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other people. Have had him out to my house twice and I would definitely use him again. He does good work and knows what he is doing.

    Coastal Tree & Climbing Service
The removal of the tree turned out to be more difficult than expected. Jason had planned on climbing the tree and cutting it down in sections, and lowering each section by rope. However, when he discovered the tree was hollow, it became to dangerous to climb. He did some work from a mobile lift to remove more branches. In the end the only way to finish the job was to cut at the base and fell the tree into the woods. However, despite the setbacks, Coastal did a great job, was very professional, courteous, prompt, and committed to finishing the job well. I was particularly impressed with their commitment to leaving my yard nicer than they found it. The heavy equipment had left some ruts in the yard, and they went out of their way to minimize damage, and to repair any damage they had caused. They even offered to bring some extra dirt and grass seed, to make sure there were no lasting bare spots. Overall, I was very impressed with the way they handled the work, and I was glad I had hired them.

He is very particular. He really cares how the job site looks after he leaves. He also trims the proper way so the tree isn't damaged. He's very good with a chain saw, and climbs a tree like a squirrel. I will definitely use him again.

    C & N Tree Service
I cam home for lunch on 19th at around 12 Noon. Worked seemed to be going OK. When I was leaving to go back to work (about 12:50 PM), Napier said he would be finished in about 30 minutes. Knowing I couldn't get back to him until after 5:30, I went ahead and wrote him a check for $150.00. When I got home at about 5:45 PM, I could see that he hadn't finished cutting up the wood. Some "slices" were not cut all the way through and other wood had not been cut at all. I called him the next day only to find that his number on the card was really someone else's cell phone (a "Nolan") and that "I let him "Napier" use my phone sometimes, too often." This Nolan said he would call Napier and have him call me. (This was on Nov. 20th) Napier never called. I called "Nolan" again on the 21st (I believe), the 23rd -- to no avail. Then on the 25th I call Collins. Told him I would reported C&N to Better Business Burea & Angie's List. He said don't do that and that he himself would come on Friday morning (the 27th) and finish the job. He neither came nor called on the 27th. I called and left 2 messages for Collins on the 27th and got no reply. I don't know what else to do.
