    David Sherbondy MD
I was a patient for over a year and I was very happy with Dr. Sherbondy and the medical services he provided. However, I had a few questions about what I had been billed--I asked if I could have some sort of itemized receipt to understand what I had paid and why. It was a very simple request, but I was flatly ignored for over a month. When I persisted and sent several emails, I was asked to come in to the office to pick up my receipts. When I got there, no receipts had been printed. I waited for over half an hour and received nothing. Since I do not do business with companies whose billing and office management practices are not above board, I removed myself from their care and requested that they mail me my medical records, along with the receipts that I still had never been given. It's now been a month without any response, even an email to acknowledge my issues or explain why they can't or won't provide receipts to their customers. All I've ever gotten were the tiny credit card slips from when I paid--never any summary of services or anything similar. These are shady business practices. They have a gorgeous, well-appointed lobby and tons of staff wandering around the front desk, but apparently do not have the ability to provide clarity to a patient who has very basic, ordinary questions about their care and account.

    Carolina Active Health Chiropractic, Inc.
Dr. Mike Nelson and his team are exactly what I needed. Dr. Nelson has taken into account my MRI's and medical history, along with detailed medical assessment and my subjective pain. I had lots of issues: spinal stenosis, bilateral hip dysplasia, tight cervical area, and bilateral trochanter bursitis. So many extremely tight muscles! My quads, glute medius, and minimus, piriformis, IT band, cervical, trapezius's, scalenes were all so tight, they were squeezing my nerves causing pain. The muscles in my legs and hips were so tight, each step hurt to walk and stairs were exceptionally painful. It hurt to turn my head when I drove a car. Some days it hurt just to hold my head up in a sitting position. Through my own determination to get better, and Dr. Mike's variety of modalities (stretches, active release, laser, and a few other techniques), he has helped loosen the muscles up to the point that my daily pain levels have changed from 7-8 constant to a 2 intermittently. I am off most of my pain medications which I thought would never be possible! He has several tools to work with. If one doesn't work, another will. I am not done working with Dr. Mike Nelson because I am determined to get strong too and reverse this pain syndrome that I have been in for years. I tell my friends, "I finally found a guy who is helping me and understands exactly what needs to happen to help me heal."

    Bridgeman, Dr. James L.
Horrible!! I visited Dr. Bridgeman as a new patient just moving into the area. I needed to follow-up and continue my Diabetic Meds and needed a general yearly physical as well. The physician did not seem to understand the medications I was on, and Clearly disapproved of the supportive supplements I was taking - which were working just fine for me!! At my initial visit (i went twice - no more) Labs were drawn, but get this - I could not "know" what my labs were until I returned six weeks later!!! A full panel of labs were Not drawn, in spite of my asking for labs usually included for my conditions. At my second (and last) visit, I was told "You sure are taking a lot of pills" " I don't think you need to take that supplement stuff" "But, here take these two other prescriptions. They are the same protocol my wife takes and they work great for her". I can safely say, I fled from this practice as quickly as I could. Will never go back there. In addition, Dr. Bridgeman's nurse was rude, Rude, RUDE! I felt uncomfortable and condescended to with every work she uttered. Unfriendly, unprofessional, and again Rude!! When she "made" me a follow-up appointment for the third visit, she just scheduled it and handed me a sheet of paper with the time and date - what wonderful patient care!! The one positive is their location - easy access to Pelham Road and the Patewood hospitals - but there are certainly other better physician offices in the same area - I recommend you try one of those!!

    Tollison, Dr. Michael E
It went great! Didn't have any pain after the first two days. Dr. Tollison is wonderful, he really cares about his patients. He explains everything he will be doing surgically and patiently answers questions. He is so kind and very responsive to his post-op patients - personally called me back with a concern I had. I had put this surgery off for a couple years because I kept hearing 'horror stories' about this surgery. Wish I had done it sooner - wouldn't have required surgery on my other toes! He is a great surgeon - so glad I picked him for my surgery.

    Rainer, Dr. Gerard F.
He is great. He did not push me to have injections. He also does not push you to continue going to him, he tells you if you feel better, you can cancel your next appointment.  He is very knowledgeable and kind. I will definitely keep him as my podiatrist for as long as I have problems with my feet, and I will recommend him to anyone who asks for a podiatrist recommendation.  He is very cost conscious also..  Overall I could not have asked for a better doctor.

Dr. Eric J. Faile IV, MD
I have been seeing him for about 5 years. He is probably one of the most caring physicians I have ever met in my life. His bedside manner is tops. He is concerned, he is compassionate, he knows you are there for nothing, he knows you have a problem, and he wants to know what it is and he will fix it. You can't always get him when you want, but you don't have to wait a long time. If you are sick , they will work you in. They care and they make the effort to show that they care. They are genuine.

    Piedmont Podiatry Associates
I have a chronic plantar fasciitis problem -- been going on for over two years.  Couldn't quite get on the same page with my first podiatrist at another practice, so I decided to try Piedmont Podiatry a couple of weeks ago.  I was well-satisfied with the advice and treatment I received -- by everyone -- on both visits.  The condition seems much improved already, though it may be a while before it is completely conquered.  They also efficiently handled the insurance processing.  My experience is that they handle patients promptly -- even took me in early for my second appointment.

    Paris View Family Practice
She is excellent. She is just very thorough. She is very compassionate. She is real personable. She takes the time, I was getting my blood pressure checked and I was sitting there and talking to her about family, about my kid going off to college and about blood pressure, medications. She spent about thirty minutes, just talking, giving me ideas and she is checking me the whole time, checking my eyes, my hands and it is like a pre-exam; you don’t have to take your clothes off or anything, she just checks you all over. She does that every time I go in. She checks you over real good. I refer to her everybody I now.

    Internal Medicine Associates
Things went wonderfully. The staff is absolutely terrific. It is a pleasure to go there from checking in to checking out. The doctors are wonderful. The waiting area was fine. You couldn't ask for anything better. They always keep you informed on wait times. I've been seeing Dr. Brown Lee for about five or six years.

    GHS Gastroenterology
So far, it has been trivial to get an appointment.  I left a message with the appointmnt coordinator, and didn't get a call until 2-3 days later. I was in a meeting and missed the call.  When I returned the call, I got her voicemail again.  She did not call back yet today and now they're closed until Monday- they must close early on Fridays.  So all in all, it will take over a week to try and schedule an appointment. They were referred to me by someone at GHS, and I really need a good GI doctor so I am going to give it another shot on Monday and then I give up.
