    Handy House Cleaning
    The initial cleaning went well. I had an introductory rate. Unfortunately, the minimum routine cleaning is for 3 hours and my place is small. I don't routinely need that much cleaning so I am continuing to look for a service that will do 2 hours once a month.

    Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning
    Everyone writes reviews when everything is either outstanding or terrible. When things are average, not so much. I had most of my furniture removed, so it was the perfect time to call for professional carpet cleaning. I read some good reviews so gave them a call. Because another contractor delayed me three hours, I had barely finished vacuuming when the guy arrived right on time. But I never had time to walk my dog so decided to walk her as soon as he knew what to do. (That way she wouldn't be underfoot.) I had a stain on a small 6' x 4' wool rug, and asked if he clean that too. He said yes, and told me there was no extra charge. Later I gave him a $10 tip, for the extra rug. When I came back from walking the dog, he was almost done, but I forgot to ask him if he did the storage room which had thin carpeting. Much later, I checked if he did the storage room and couldn���t see any improvement. I figured he forgot the room which was out of sight and out of mind, and I forgot to remind him or to check the room before I wrote the check. Saturday my daughter and her fianc��, after seeing the carpet before I could tell them what happened, asked why the storage room wasn���t done. I told them the carpet cleaning guy apparently forgot, as this room was separated from all the others that needed cleaning. I called Sunday and after much deliberation, they agreed to come Tuesday at 4:30, as they were booked solid on Monday. On Tuesday they called three times, the first two to confirm the time. On the second call the guy who came said he did clean the back storage room. I didn���t want to argue so I said please clean it again as it doesn���t look clean. On the third call, he argued that the carpet couldn���t get any cleaner so he didn���t see the point of coming back. By this time I was late for an appointment and tired of arguing. I really didn���t care if he forgot, didn���t do a good job, or if they had inadequate equipment. I had already suggested perhaps steam cleaning would work better than their buffer that looks like a floor cleaner, but was told that was all they had. It was obvious they weren���t coming back. Finally in frustration I hung up, and simply wished I had gone with a company that uses better steam cleaning. They call their company Heaven���s Best. A better name would be ���Heavens to Betsy, We���re Barely Adequate.���

    Matthew, the technician did a great job! We had a few pet stains in our basement that we'd tried to clean unsuccessfully in the past. Matthew got it cleaned. The carpets looked like new when he was done!

    It was fantastic! Alicia and her partner did an incredible job!! They attended to every single detail -- above & beyond the expected of polishing countertops, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors and toilets. They pulled back and cleaned behind two refrigerators and a washer & dryer, they scrubbed baseboards, cleaned windows & light fixtures, dusted & cleaned blinds and ceiling fans, cleaned inside drawers, closets, medicine cabinets, and even polished decorative light bulbs! The entire house looked brand-new when they were done. Our house sold in TWO DAYS, and I beleive Star Clean had a lot to do with that!! I would absolutely hire Star Clean again, and would give them my highest recommendation & endorsement to family, friends and fellow Angie's List subscribers!

    They did a great job no more odor. I took the rug to their shop and picked it up. They were very busy and explained to me that it might be 4 or 5 weeks which was fine. It did take about 5 weeks but the rug looks very nice and it is very clean. I have had this rug cleaned before for the same reason and this is the only time that the pet ordor has been completely removed. There is an extra charge for removing the pet urine, it requires more work. That was no problem

    First off, I will say that my car looks better than what I brought in���. but was it $200 better? Absolutely NOT. My husband got me a gift for the executive detail package. We had a 9:30am appointment and was told it would be ready around 3pm. At 4:30pm we still had not heard from them and called to find out when the car would be finished. They said they still had 30 minutes left to finish it up. I really don���t know what they were doing in those 30 minutes but they were not working on any detailing. We were unimpressed from an initial look through but as I drove back home and got an even closer look, I was really disappointed. There were areas that were not even wiped down that were noticeable just from my driver's seat perspective. The pictures I provide are what I took on my way home. Here���s the thing ��� I pay roughly $30 at a local carwash to have their superior wash all the time. What I got from Executive Detail was no better than what I get for $30 at the local car wash. While the car looks better than it did ��� I expect waaaay more than what I got for $200 - you know like a DETAILED service? Save your money folks and go somewhere else that gets the same job done at a fraction of the price.

    Myers Trim Shop
    We chose this shop to repair a convertible top after hearing good reviews. We had a horrible experience. We had a beautiful older model BMW and there was nothing wrong with it, other than a torn back window. Mr. Myers said it would be a 2-3 day job. It wound up being two weeks and every time we called he had a different excuse. We had a bad feeling something was wrong but he never let on anything was wrong. The day we picked the car up, he said not to put the top down for 3 days so it could "stretch". He pointed out an area on the top with a little "hole" and said it should be ok. We noticed deep scratches on the back on the trunk , which he adamantly denied doing. The scratches were not there when we dropped the car off. He was very rude to us (my daughter and I) and treated us like we were crazy. Upon driving the car home, we noticed it was very noisy, like the windows were not closed. Once home, we inspected the car more closely and the all the window gaskets were loose, so the windows did not close or fit correctly against the new top. The rear panels were off inside the trunk and would not go back on without falling off and one of the rear tail lights was loose and cracked! After the three days were up, we tried to open the top and it would not go down. My daughter's husband and father -in law took the car back and Mr. Myers had a whole different attitude with them. He agreed that he had problems but begged us to let him have an opportunity to make it right. He kept the car another 3-4 weeks and when we picked it up, it was the exact same! Nothing had changed. In fact, it was worse. The electrical was now broken and the seats would not move back/forth along with radio. We took the car to someone else and had to pay almost $1000 to get the electrical fixed and found out the motor was damaged so it would need a new motor. (another couple of thousand dollars). We didn't even pay that much for the car itself so now we have a convertible that does not work. We are sick to death this beautiful little car was destroyed all because of what Myers did to it.

    The Cleaning Lady
    I will not go into a lot of detail unless someone would like it, but all of the reviews that say the ladies did a good job but that Kathryn was difficult to work with are correct. There were many things broken through the years, and if I reported it, I was treated like I was at fault for her employees breaking things. She finally said that it was the fault of the equipment in my house. Now I will tell you that I have very nice "equipment". I never got upset at the breakage, but very upset that it seemed to be my fault. Nice on the surface, but not at heart.

    Mike Bryan Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
    We hired Mike Bryan to clean our cream-colored carpet in the dining room, living room, and the front stairs. It was a big job because we had not shampooed the carpets since getting two dogs several years ago, and the dogs have to go through the living room to get to the backyard several times a day. Mr. Bryan is conscientious and a perfectionist and does his very best to produce great results. He spent several hours thoroughly cleaning everything and left commercial fans in place to dry everything more quickly overnight. We were very happy with the results, and we highly recommend him.
