    Carolina Ductmasters
We were very pleased with Marshall's responsiveness to our request for a quote(pay for cleaning and inspection together) and for an appointment. Our fireplace was cleaned and inspected. He recommended some repairs to be done in the near future. We will use them for this as well.

    A.B.W. Construction
Andrew was quick to respond to our initial request for estimates on our needed repairs. We scheduled the work in two phases, exterior chimney first. We were pleased with the work he did and therefore contracted to do the interior repair work. Andrew tore out the damaged sheetrock, installed new, then finished and painted the wall. He also installed a junction box on our ceiling where a prior fixture had been installed. Andrew did a great job on all of the work. We will definitely use him again in the future.

    Roof Roof
A man came out.  My roof was fine and i knew that but I have a leak around my chimney, leaking on my ceiling and wanted that repaired. He scheduled an appt to bring the serviceman out and called that day and rescheduled.  Cancelled that one, too.  My spent $99 was to go toward chimney repair.  Will call again to reschedule after Christmas.  If not satisfied, I will be requesting a refund as I have had no service done.

    Clean Sweeps Chimney Sweeps
He did a good job and we are happy with the results. However, he came back twice to repeat measurements to make sure they were correct before it was fabricated. New cover fits perfectly and it will never rust because of the stainless steel and powder coating. We would call them again. They were friendly and courteous .

The owner of Clutter Busters came out and he was very nice. I just wasn't able to get the work done at the time. He came out once, he took some pictures to have some references when making the estimate. He was very thorough, he did not send me the estimate until he had gone through the county about permits and regulations and rules. I was very impressed. He was very easy to get a hold of and he was quick to respond.

Arrived on time.   Was courteous and professional.   Explained what he was doing and why.   Didn't try to sell services he did not believe were needed.   Did the job carefully with no mess left behind.

    A+Wildlife Control
I called about a raccoon problem.  Keith Murphy placed a trap that same day; certainly a better response than I'd gotten when calling another company.  He called before he showed up so I'd know when to expect him.  Two raccoons were in the trap the next morning and he placed another trap.  He charges to place the trap and then $50 for picking up the animal.  No further charge if nothing is caught.  He refused to take additional money for picking up two animals rather than one.  I asked what he planned to do with the animals and he told me that he would release them if healthy; that he doesn't kill them if not necessary.  (Another company volunteered to me when I initially called that any caught animals would be euthanized. Frankly, I didn't really care, but it suggested an easy way out for that other company.)

    A+Wildlife Control
I was very concerned when I began hearing noises in my ceiling. The next evening I watched in horror as something began scratching until drywall and dust began falling and a hole appeared in the ceiling. Scary. I called A+ Wildlife Control and they called right back. I was thrilled, especially after discovering that pest control services do not take care of wild animals and 2 others took days to call back.Keith Murphy, the owner, (864.784.6353) said he would send Rocky and Thomas out asap and he did. They came and assessed the situation and set multiple traps.  Both were knowledgeable and helpful and set my mind at ease.  They were very honest about the fact that with a 70 year old house with many roofs finding all the entry points could take some time. I understood that nothing was cut and dried in my situation.Traps were set out. Rocky and Thomas thought it was most likely squirrels but it could be birds or both. They checked on the traps regularly. When nothing was caught they moved the trap to another potential entry point. The first critter in the trap was a starling. That was the first of ten starlings caught in the traps.  I thought I heard something again and since there was already a hole in the bedroom ceiling I told Keith to go ahead and enlarge it and look for a nest or whatever. It wasn't much later when I heard noise again and Keith went up his ladder to have a look and came face to face with a squirrel. Now I wanted a permanent solution to my critter problem. It was clear to me that with all the additions to the house and all the layers of roofing that there were multiple points of entry that needed fixing. I couldn't spend the money for a new roof so a workable solution for me was discussed.  Metal flashing would be put along the roof line of the house and the additions to the house to seal up the entrances into the house. Keith, Rocky and Thomas promised a good job and said it would solve the critter problem and make the house look better. They did a wonderful job, critters are gone and my old home looks so much better. They also caulked my old chimneys for stability and made chimney caps for them. The hole in the wall was repaired and repainted perfectly. My foundation had some openings and those were fixed as well.I was so thrilled with the work that I  will call them first when I need something done. These men are multi-talented, honest and reasonable with their prices.

    Overholt Footers & Such
I met David through his wife, who breeds yorkies, maltese, shih tzu and bichon frise. I had gone to their house to scout for a pup. While talking to her, I found out that her husband, David Overholt, is a mason. This was great news to me because I had just received an estimate way over my budget for chimney repair. He showed me the chimney he built in their home -- a stone chimney with incredible craftsmanship -- as well as a portfolio of photos of his work. He also built the sunroom in their home which has a gorgeous A-frame roof and lots of windows. He then set-up an appointment to come look at my chimney and within the week had completed the repairs and returned my chimney to its former glory. His work is impeccable.

Called and asked them approx pricing for replacing a chimney chase. Provided a range of pricing that seemed fair. But said they would have to come out and inspect and measure. Cost charged was $95.00 . They said it would be applied to the repair cost. They provided a quote of  over $1,000  to replace the chase cover,  that was not in-line with the phone conversation with one of the owners prior to the inspection. Called after getting the quote to ask why the cost was not  in the 300-$500 range they quoted for a non-stainless steel cover. After discussing the high quote they reduced the pricing . We  chose not to use them just on the principal that they got us to pay them for quoting the job. I had the work quoted by three other reputable companies, non of those charged us.
