Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Greenville

Steve was super helpful! He found the exact tire we needed at an excellent price and put it on for us! He even gave us some advice on the alignment and told us that if we would like one done at a later time to call up and they will help us! Amazing person and amazing company!!

It took them a little time. But they were good. They did come down on the price after I talked to them. Overall, price was my big thing with that. They were real busy at the time. Keeping appointments on time and getting people out could have been a little better.

This was a very small job -- a $10.00 plug of a tire leak -- so my experience may or may not translate to a bigger job but, all in less than half an hour Francis Marion: (1) put my car up on a lift; (2) took the wheel off; (3) determined that the leak in my run-flat tire was small enough to plug (so I didn't have to replace it); and (4) plugged the leak.

as with every time I go to Buchanan, I come away convinced they treat me right. Bought the tires there a year ago and since then have been coming for oil changes and free tire rotations.  I leave the car there for the day but when we pick it up all is done.  Had a problem with the alignment once and it was a chance for them to go over the top for us.  They tried and tried to get the shimmy out of the car at no additional charge and when that didn't work, they gave us 4 new tires at no cost to us!  They made almost no money on us after all the work and cost they put in.  If you want customer service the old fashioned way - Buchanan has plenty to offer.  Making an appointment is very casual - I call and they say come in on such and such a day but don't want to know who I am or what kind of car I have or anything.  At first this left me scratching my head but having been there 4 or 5 times now (2 different cars), it does not seem to matter.  They take good care of things and get it done.  They even recommended another shop when what I needed done was not their specialty - I went to Kar Gard on their recommendation for my engine light issue and found their service to be excellent as well.  Good people, good work, I recommend them highly.

Mauldin Road and Tire always does a fantastic job aligning all of my cars, even custom alignments for my track car.  I can always count on them to do a great job.  You can even drop your car after they close and pick it up the next day!

I took the car there with a coupon for a free 29 point inspection and was talked into getting a more intensive inspection for $70. The inspection was essentially worthless because they provided no new information. They claimed my car had a massive oil leak and a torn boot axle, which was partially true. He said that in order to determine the source of the leak he would have to spend a minimum of 2 hours pressure washing the motor to find the source and then it could be anywhere from $1500 to $4000 to fix which is more than the car is worth. So I took my car to another place, Mr Transmission, who found the leaks for free and fixed the axle and leaks with OEM VW parts for $602 out the door.

Completely satisfied. Charged me less for alignment and explained that our rear wheel drive Tahoe does not require 4 wheel alignment. Very straightforward with me.
Also, I had them align the truck previously (before buying new tires). They inadvertently snapped the bolt for one of the adjusting mechanisms (I believe for the camber) but did not charge me for the replacement of it, explaining that the mechanic should have used penetrating fluid first (it was rusted). Not many garages would have absorbed that cost.

They are always very nice and accomodating. I only scheduled an oil change, but when I asked them about a small noise my car was making they took the time to diagnose it and fixed in about half the time they normally would, just so I could get my kids at school and not have to bring it in again for another visit.
I've worked with this company for years and they are ALWAYS much less than the dealer, and very honest and friendly. The only mechanic I can truly say that I trust. :)

.I went to see Jerry and we discucssed several brands of tires and prices in my wife's car's size and decideded on a pair that he did not have in stock but could order. He said he would call me when they came in. True to his word both he and his wife called us to tell us the tires had arrived several days later. I set a time with them for the 14th to come in and have the new tires put on. I arrived around 8:45AM on the 14th and Jerry got my wife's car in and the two new tires installed. He also found that one of the alloy wheels was out of round and suggested I take up the problem with my car dealer. He and his employee worked on it and got it to balance fine and we have not been able to notice the out-of round problem. I most certainly will use the Buchanan's for the other two tires and also for our other cars when they need tires. I certainly can recommend them. (They also do auto repair and apparently have a large following as the business is full of customer cars and trucks and the desk area with people wanting a repair on their car.)

They are very professional and have good costumer service. My only complaint was that they didn't balance the tires properly the first time. I drove on the new set for a day and knew immediately that there was something amiss. When I decelerated from ~30mph down to a stop, the car felt "wobbly." Had to go back in and they rebalanced the tires (for free, of course). They are fine now, but it is just frustrating to have to go back in to have something done properly... when replacing tires is basically the MAIN service they provide.
I have had several oil changes there also, and they always do a good job.
