Bathtub Refinishing reviews in Greenville

    Bradley Construction LLC
Bradley Construction did an excellent job of tearing off the old roof and putting on the new roof. The entire project took less than a day. Vaughn showed up when he said he would and handled the insurance paper work. I am very happy with the results and would hire them again for future projects.

We could not have been happier or more impressed with Chris and GlazePro. Talk about a transformation! My husband and I saved a 70+ year old home that was set to be demolished by the city; it had been vacant for years and wasn't well kept to begin with, so you can imagine what kind of shape our tubs were in. We weren't 100% sure they could be salvaged, but we had Chris come take a look and he said, "no problem." Sure enough, he worked a miracle on our tubs and they (no exaggeration) look brand new. He took two days to sand them, "bondo" any chips and repair scratches and rust stains in the enamel, then he came back and re-glazed the tubs. They are perfect now! We were blown away. We highly recommend GlazePro!!!

Very good job- would highly recommend. Saved perfectly good cast iron tub, retiled surround and floor to give updated look. Reglazing vs breaking cast iron tub out and having to re-frame and replace tub with inferior and costly one was great option! Chris takes great care to explain process from start to finish. Chris Gunn is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, prompt, very neat--protected everything, as it's only a few hour process from start to finish. I plan to have him back to glaze my brick entry way. He is very accommodating and followed up on my satisfaction after a week.

Andrew provided us a timely quote and did a great job for us. He was punctual, responsive and CLEANED UP pretty well after he was done.  Some might say I'm a tad picky so you should know that if  I am happy with the results (and I am) and won't hesitate to call him again---anyone looking for professional, prompt service and good results should give him a call. You won't be disappointed.

  • F
    Palmetto Stones LLC
Yearly Updates: In over 2 years they have NEVER MADE ANYTHING RIGHT nor EVER PAID 1 DIME to repay or compensate for all my additional costs to pay other contractors to repair the damages they made.
Original Info: THEY LIE & WORSE.
There?s NO 100% satisfaction as stated on website. They have 'F'
rating at the BBB [my bad for not checking 1st!!!] They got all our initial
money [$6,815.00] upfront - even though short time later we told them we
were going w/own Delta faucets so they promised me ~$700 back for what I
prepaid for their (no name) faucets ? of course, they never did. They took
way too long to deliver. They DID NOT FINISH WORK ? they did ONLY 90% of
work, and never came back to resolve cracks, scratches, chips,
roughness, sealing, edging & surface problems in granite. During
delivery they dropped large piece of granite on laminate wood foyer
which made large non-repairable 10-12 inch scratch ? which I have photos.
They sent out their (own) flooring guy, Phillip, who said complete
attached foyer/dining/half bath needed replaced [for $1,925.00] - because it
would not be possible to repair/find/replace just portion of laminate.
Chuck Stark (owner) personally came, reviewed, agreed w/Phillip & said
he'd pay for replacement of all.  I told him my flooring guy,
Daniel, [who did our kitchen floor] would do all the same for hundreds less
& use real hardwood. Chuck said to have Daniel contact him to get the
money & to do the replacement. Daniel tried getting money several times
w/Chuck leading him on, but ?somehow? never meeting to pay him.  Chuck
told me he was sending the ?check in the mail? to me & you know how
that story goes. Ends up, I got stuck w/the $1,715.00 flooring bill!!!
THEN TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY [but really NO surprise] they will not return
calls any longer!!! So in total I'm out an extra $2,415.00 (on top of
original $6,815.00) w/NO SERVICE, NO SUPPORT, NO WARRANTY, NO MONEY.
They are NOT PEOPLE OF THEIR WORD. I have original invoicing &
paperwork from Palmetto Stones, the punch list I created for Chuck that he
agreed to when he came over & invoices for floor repair.
Since then I had to hire East Coast Granite to come finish our master bath tub
surround, so we could get our bathroom finished & ?back?. That cost
me an additional $520.00.  Of course, it will cost more if/when I
have them come fix all other granite issues mentioned above. BTW, East
Coast did very good work - in a timely fashion - all as promised.  I
would definitely recommend East Coast Granite to all readers.
After the work was done, but before Chuck quit talking to us I warned him
that if he did not live up to what he promised & what we are owed, that I?d
be forced to take this situation to the SC Attorney General?s Office, the BBB,
?7 On Your Side?, etc.  Unfortunately, it seems he doesn?t care
& seems to think he can get away w/cheating upstate customers. Since
then, several ex-Palmetto employees, who now work for East Coast
Granite, told me numerous stories were Palmetto cheated other upstate
    customers.
So far I've begun several actions that have not gotten us anywhere:
    (1) SC Attorney General's Office that said they wouldn't handle this type case
so they sent the case to Dept of Labor, Licensing, & Regulation. Dept of
LLR replied that "unfortunately" Palmetto?s type of CONTRACTING
BUSINESS [countertops, etc.] DOES NOT NEED LICENSING, so there was nothing they
could do & I?d need to take them to small claims court.

    a. In discussions w/several folks about small claims court, while we would have
no problem proving our case & winning a judgment against Palmetto, the
    problem is trying to collect.
    b. Even if we put a lien against them, I was
told that we?d need to constantly keep up renewing the lien & that they
    could basically ignore it ?forever?.
    c. Bottom line: It would just cost me more money w/attorney fees, court costs
& renewing liens.  Just throwing more good money after bad!
    (2) I worked w/the BBB for over 6 months which went nowhere. Not the BBB's
fault - they were great. Instead it was Chuck/owner who kept promising the
BBB that he'd "fix everything" & give me all the $$$money back he
owned me.  But NOTHING ever happened.  [Big surprise -
NOT!]  Also, BBB found out that they were starting to operate under other
"New" business names, but said that they'd do their best to track all
other businesses. So BBB gave up on him & said that they'll keep
reinforcing his "F" rating for as long as they can.
    a.  Addendum: The BBB continues to check back w/me [approx. every 6
months] to see if Palmetto has done anything [since Chuck continues to LIE to
them & say that they have done so].  So BBB says they will keep
    renewing his "F" rating.
    (3) I put in a complaint thru Angie?s List where Palmetto would not respond to
them at all, so they put Palmetto Stones in their ?penalty box?.
    a.  Addendum: Angie?s List continues to ask for updates, periodically,
such as now, to see if Palmetto/Chuck has done the "right thing" yet.
    (4) I went to ?7 On Your Side? to see if they would expose Palmetto to protect
other good folks in the Upstate & bring pressure to bear for Palmetto TO DO
THE RIGHT THING w/us & others who've been scammed.  Also, to find out
why their type of Contracting shouldn?t be forced to be licensed by the State
to provide an added level of protection to consumers. I got 1 reporter (Diane
Derby) who was HOT on their case for about a week or 2.  Then "all of
a sudden" she couldn't help or pursue it any longer.  It seems
that Chuck must have "friends" at channel 7 that squashed the story.
Not what anyone should consider fair & unbiased reporting! Because of
that incident, I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR CHANNEL 7 NEWS ANY LONGER!
    BOTTOM LINE:
DO NOTHING w/PALMETTO STONES OR Chuck Stark OR ANY OTHER NAME THEY'RE NOW
TRYING TO OPERATE UNDER.  WHEN THEY APPROACH YOU--JUST RUN AWAY AS
FAST AS YOU CAN & TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME!!!

    A.B.W. Construction
We were very impressed with the services provided by A.B.W. Construction. We can't say enough about the great job Andrew did.  He was professional, honest, hard working, meticulous, and the quality of his work was outstanding. More than that, he loves what he does, and was cheerful and willing to work with us on changes to Plan A.   He worked within our budget and gave detailed estimates ahead of time.  The project will end up costing around $12,000, taking a couple weeks to complete.  The total cost including labor was far less than other estimates we had received. We have other major projects waiting, including a kitchen renovation, and it is a relief to know a reliable, likeable, and honest person will be available when we need him.

    Bath Fitter
We have used them multiple times. One time they took out the bath tub and made the whole area into a shower. In the other bathroom they redid everything including the bath tub, walls, and door. You couldn't have anybody do a better job than them. There wasn't anything I disliked about them. They do all the work in one day, they are very neat, and I have never had a problem in a bathroom they did the work in. The price is worth what you pay.

The person who cam to give the quote was here longer than I expected, but he was very professional. I think he measured the space incorrectly for the sink, but other than the whole process went smoothly. He was very informative. I was told there was a 6 week wait period, and 6 weeks later I received a call to schedule the job. I was told the men would arrive between 7:30 and 9AM. They arrived at 7:30 on the dot. They consulted me throughout the day as needed, and cleaned up very nicely before they left. They finished before 3:30PM. I didn't shop around for sinks and toilets. I suspect I paid too much for them, but but just couldn't bother with finding someone else to do them. The owrker had to drive to a Lowes to get a different size sink cabinet because apparently the measurents provided by the sales person were incorrect. That was the only glitch in the day.

I liked the company; it worked out very well for me. I like the finish. They were professional, prompt, timely and avoided making a mess. The one thing that sold me on this company is that I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and they had a good rating. I will use them again in the future.
