    I have hired Steven and his team on two separate occasions and both times the work was excellent and considerably less expensive then all the other quotes I got. For the first job I needed two dedicated 4 outlet 20A circuits ran from my Frog to the breaker box in the garage, a ceiling fan prewire in the Frog, and two power outlets, one behind my wall mounted tv in my living room and the other in my master bedroom. On average I'd say the 4 quotes I got from other companies varied from about $1250-$1500 and they all said that the quote was subject to change based on level of difficulty which they would determined once they arrived on site and made their personal assessment. However Steven's company quoted me $750 and honored that price after the work was done...meaning it didn't try and jack up the price of his quote after the work was finished. Based on the excellent work and pricing I hired Steven's company again about 15 months later to install another power outlet behind my wall mounted TV in my office and an outlet behind my crown moulding so I could power my LIFX strip lighting. Per usual the work quality was excellent and was very reasonably priced. I would def hire again if I needed additional work.

    Steve from Charleston Electric came out to perform the work. Steve was very knowledgeable and professional; a master at his craft! I was extremely impressed with his attention to detail (it was as if he was working on his own home). If I need electrical work done in the future, Steve will be the guy I ask for!

    Jeremy did an excellent job of explaining that smoke detectors can wear out and have an expiration date on them. (Ours expired a year before we bought our newly built home in 2008!) He installed 4 new replacements, explained how to test and synchronize them.

    After talking with Chaz, the local franchise manager of B1 Electrical on 8/16, in regard to adding an outlet in our master bathroom, I was eager to make an appointment for an estimate. Appointment was set for the next day, 8/17 at 1pm. Chaz arrived 10 minutes early. He was professional, knowledgeable and eager to begin work! I also asked about installing an outdoor outlet with a cover. I was told I would receive two estimates from their company by end of day, one for the master bathroom outlet and another for the outdoor outlet. Since he does not actually make the appointment, I asked if he knew how soon he could start work. I was informed they do not work on weekends and would be closed on Monday, 8/21 due to the eclipse. He said ���possibly Wednesday, 8/23.��� I did in fact receive two emails from their company by the end of the day. I accepted one estimate same day to add an outlet in our master bathroom and asked for an appointment. I had a question concerning the second estimate and replied to that email with questions. I did not hear back from either email by end of business day. On Saturday, 8/19 at approximately 12:30pm I contacted Chaz. I spoke to a lady on the phone, explained why I was calling and asked if I could speak to Chaz. He did not take my call. I expressed disappointment to this lady whose only response was "I'm very sorry...we get so many quotes." I wasn't looking for an apology...just wanted to set an appointment! I understand this franchise is fairly new to the Charleston area. What started off as an initial good impression turned out to be a huge disappointment! As of today, 8/21, no one has contacted me. They say ���committed to customer satisfaction, professionalism and fine quality work���Bringing power to the people.. We pride our company on reliability, great communication, integrity, and quality work���We are experts in our trade and will do our best to keep you as educated as we can on your particular task or project. We look forward to earning your business!��� B1 Electric will not get a good welcome in Charleston if this is how they do business! Maybe it was a bigger job they were looking for??

    On July 24th I contacted Best Electrical to get an estimate to install microwave and add an outlet to our master bathroom. Talking to Leslie (wife of the owner, Steven Garner) was delightful! She was personable and helpful. Appointment was set for free estimate on July 26th at 2pm. Mr. Garner called at approximately 2pm to say he was running late but on the way. He was 15 minutes late which was okay...I appreciated the phone call. Our microwave turned out to be too large for the install over our stove and we agreed the best option was to exchange it for a smaller one. Adding an outlet to the master bathroom was no problem; estimate was $150. I told Mr. Garner we would call back for another appointment after exchanging the microwave so they could take care of that installation and add the outlet at the same time. We exchanged the microwave but because of our cabinet setup and expense involved to rework, we opted for a countertop. I called back on August 2nd to set up appointment at 10:30am and never received a callback after leaving a message. I called again on August 3rd, spoke to Leslie and told her I had left a message but hadn't heard back. I asked if they had had phone issues since I hadn't received a callback and was told they didn't think so but would check. Appointment was set for August 4th at 1pm to install the outlet. By 1:30pm, no one came and no one called. I contacted the office at 1:30pm and left a message. Did not hear from anyone that day nor over the weekend. I contacted the office again the following Monday, August 7th at 3:30pm; left a message but did not hear back. Called yet again on August 8th at 11:30am and spoke to Leslie. I asked if there had been a misunderstanding on our appointment for August 4th since no one showed up. She checked her book and said that we did in fact have an appointment scheduled that day but she had no idea why no one showed up. After expressing my disappointment with a no show and no communication, Leslie graciously apologized. She shared with me that she had broken her ankle over the weekend. We rescheduled the appointment again for August 10th at 1pm. I called the morning of August 10th at 9:45am to confirm. According to Leslie, we were on schedule for 1pm. I was happy! At 1:09pm, Mr. Garner called to say they were running late but were on the way. I asked Mr. Garner approximate time of arrival and he said "about 45 minutes". My interpretation of that considering where they were at that time and Charleston traffic, they "might" arrive an hour or more later. I told Mr. Garner I was very dissatisfied with the level of service I had received. The lack of communication and no show, in particular, was inexcusable. I felt I had been tracking THEM down with all the phone calls instead of the other way around. And still with the horrible service I had agreed to reschedule one last time (for August 10th). Mr. Garner apologized. He explained that the company was going through some growing pains and they also had the incident over the weekend with his wife. He said "we're on the way." At that point I told Mr. Garner not to come...I was done. What a big disappointment! After reading the excellent reviews I was excited to be working with Best Electrical, especially since they were local and family owned. This husband-wife team appear to be good people but their service is poor and completely unprofessional. Their website says "no job is too small" and "we pride our company on reliability, great communication, integrity, and quality work." I don't know if our job was "too small", ie, insignificant, or how we got lost in the mix. With all the wonderful reviews, I was thinking perhaps Best Electrical would call me, offer to come back and perhaps install the outlet at no charge. This token would have meant so much to me - and I would have perhaps remained a customer - but they chose to do nothing. That speaks volumes!

    Mr. Payne did an excellent job diagnosing and repairing the electric outlet issues I was having in my house. I called on a Wednesday afternoon and had an appointment booked for Thursday morning. Mr. Payne arrived at my house at the appointed time. He listened to our concerns and went to diagnosing the problem. His work was methodical eliminating possible causes of the problems. Once he diagnosed the issue, he immediately began work to correct the issue. The bill for his services was extremely reasonable for the time he spent at my house. I will Payne's Electric for all my future electrical needs.

    Suburban Plumbing and Solar came out and checked my house to see if solar was going to work for my home. They suggested to me how much money i would be saving on my power bill. ?They were very professional and very helpful . ?A few days after they were done they came back out to check on me to see if i was happy with the solar system . I am very happy with it and have ?already saved money with it. Thank you .

    I was referred to Bruce & called him the same day. He fit me in his schedule, showed up right at the time he had estimated, confirmed the problem, repaired the unit, and checked it for proper functioning. He accomplished all this in 2-3 hours. His customer service was outstanding, and I was blown away by the entire experience. He was very honest and knowledgeable, and explained everything in terms that I could understand. I cannot rave enough about a Bruce and the work that he did.

    Mike is excellent .  Because of his  quality work , he is in demand , and you need to be patient so as to fit into his busy schedule .  However , the work is so good , it's worth the wait .  This is the third project in which Mike has done a great job .  I recommend him w/out reservation.
