    Affordable Handyman and Painting Services
David and his crew were exceptionally professional! They arrived at my home by 7:45 each morning and were hard at work by 8 a.m. just as promised! He and his team worked very well together to provide prompt and efficient service. And what a terrific personal touch it was to have his wife Dee set things up for us. She couldn't be any more pleasant to deal with and whenever I needed to speak to her I felt like I was speaking to a close friend or family member. Now that's what I call terrific customer service! I would definitely use Affordable Handyman Services again!

    Nailed It! Home Repairs, LLC
This company has the worst ethics and business practices I have experienced for a contractor. I contacted them about having my front door replaced and was quoted $200-250 for the slab, installing all of the hardware, and caulking around the door. When I received the written quote, it changed to $250-300, depending on the ease of the job. I agreed that was fair and he commenced work. He completely screwed up the framing of my door, didn't install the strike plates, the door wouldn't latch, there was a huge gap at the bottom and it caught at the top before it would close. No caulking was done. He had no idea how to install an electronic lock, so I had to walk him through it. I asked how much it would be to change the numbers on the front of my house and he grumbled about it. He broke a mount for the numbers and didn't tell me. I told him I didn't mind paying for quality work. When he was finished, he demanded payment before I had a chance to look over anything and asked if I 'had it' in reference to cleaning up after him. After contacting him about coming to fix the work, he said that it would be a service call and that I would be charged for the work he should have done in the first place. DO NOT use this company for anything!!

    Handyman Connection of Charleston
Mark was the service tech that came out and he did a great job. He first removed the siding in the way of the door, then got to work taking the old door out. Several pieces of the old wood siding needed to be removed to get the door out, but he showed me everything he wanted to do and did everything with no problems. Once the old door was removed, he cut out 1 of the 2x4 pieces for the frame and installed a 1x4 in its place. This was needed to make the frame opening larger for the new door. He also did some touch-up work on the rest of the frame as it was in need. I helped him get the new door into place. He checked it to be level and made sure it was going in right. He then did what was needed to get the new door in place. He caulked the openings well, as well as the bottom of the door, to ensure as little air as possible could escape. He then started putting everything back together, being sure to caulk here and there where it was needed. Then, he helped me to ensure the door operated properly. Once everything was done, he cleaned up the area well. The job actually took much longer than I thought it would, but he did way more than I thought was necessary...hence, the reason I did not do the work myself! The door looks and works great! Thanks!

    Premier Glass
Without the $300 deduction, it was $800.  He took time to go ahead and explain to me. These are for shower doors and an in-shower stall, and he took time to tell me about the different shower doors and how they were locked so that I could make it a selection for what I wanted. He was very good.

    HIS Handiwork LLC
Since I retired from the military, my wife and I were looking for a trustworthy and reliable handyman for our new house. I went on Angie's list to search the area and found HIS Handiwork. His reviews looked satisfying to fit our needs. It was the BEST CHOICE WE MADE SINCE  I BECAME A HOMEOWNER. I am fairly disabled and cannot do the things I did in my younger years.Customer Service is a big thing to me, Ross and his crew went above and beyond, and explaining house maintenance tidbits. I strongly encourage you to use him for anything that is broken or for whatever reason, Some people do not take the time out to write a review. THAT WOULD BE ME. But, I will for HIS Handiwork. Thank you Ross. My neighbors always ask me how my projects are coming along. I tell them "things are looking good".

    HIS Handiwork LLC
As soon as I contacted Ross, he returned my call immediately.  He had another service call in my area so he said he would call the next day to let me know when he was coming.  He gave me an approximate cost over the phone.  Next morning Ross called me with an ETA and arrived earlier than said.  He replaced a small section of rotted wood under the vinyl door cap, caulked, and affixed the vinyl with screws.  You could not even tell anything had been done to the area.  The other side of the door had a very small beginning of rot which he simply sealed. Using a ladder, Ross checked several places on the exterior of roof to identify any other locations in need of repair and found none.  He suggested quick fix.

    Precision Garage Door Service
They sent out one tech. They fixed one door on a 2 car, 2 door garage. I thought the price was high. The door is fixed now, but I think I paid way too much.  When I booked the appointment online, I picked three days, and they missed all three dates. I made a comment on Angie's List and they called me to say that they'd reached out to me-- but I didn't see it. When we spoke the second time, they came out right away.

    Barney's Home Repairs
Barney matched the paint color to the vinyl siding trim on the house.  Cleaned all surfaces before painting.  Hoped that one coat of paint would cover, but ended up having to do two coats.  Guys arrived on time both days.  They removed hardware on the doors each time to paint.  Worked fast and were extremely professional.  Very pleased with work and price.  Will use this service provider again.

    Sunview General Contracting Inc
Our experience with Sunview started off very well but went down hill to the point where lawyers had to get involved.  We finally had to end our involvement with Sunview after battling with them for over a month about a banana-shaped chimney, crooked walls and ceilings, improper and incomplete installations of doors and windows, contractor-induced damages to the structure of the house, and just poor workmanship though-out the house.  We found out after the fact that the 22 windows installed were not what we contracted for and that the siding did not meet the very clear requirements that were in our construction agreements.  Notice that I did not say contract since we were never able to get a signed contract from this contractor.  We did however get abusive phone calls and threatening letters from their lawyer.  We are now in the process of paying other contractors to complete or repair the work that Sunview was contracted to perform.

    King Construction
The project went great.  We were very pleased  with the service that King Construction provided for us.  My husband and I are both in our 60's and the attic ladder going into our attic was over 35 years old and was in need of being replaced.  I call Mr. King on Wednesday afternoon, he returned my call Thursday morning,  He sent someone out Friday morning to give us an estimated.
Mr. King set up our installation for Saturday afternoon.  They arrived with the new attic ladder and in an hour and a half our new attic ladder was installed.  The installers were knowledgeable and very pleasant to be around.  They knew what they were doing and we are very satisfied with the work. We will call on them again when the need arises. Thank you for a great job.
