    Custom Carolina Construction LLC
I have remodeled 5 homes and built one. With all my experience with contractors and subcontractors, I have never found one as reliable as Carson. He has helped my family with repairing older beach homes for the last three years. We have hired Carson to do a lot of jobs. He has completed all of them in a timely manner, using salt water resistant materials that will stand the test of time, and the end product demonstrates excellent craftsmanship. He helps us make decisions from 200+ miles away, staying on budget but producing excellent results. We haven't had to stress about overseeing the job as Carson treats our house as his own. We are beyond thankful for him, his team, and his attention to detail. My great grandfather built one of the homes in the 1950's and its withstood many Hurricanes. I'm so thankful that Carson can carry the tradition of excellent craftsmanship to our special place. As for specifics of this job, he built beautiful shiplap in our den, repaired our deck, replaced a rotten support beam with plumbing and electrical running through it, and painted our porch and deck. He did an incredible job.

    Charleston Painting Contractors
We didn't think they would be able to make it on such short notice before thanksgiving, but they did!! They were in and out in a couple hours and did way more than we expected. This was our second time using there services and we will most definitely use them in the future. All of the painting looks wonderful and the ceiling smooth and looks so much better.

    Charleston Painting Contractors
Amazing!  Through a miscommunication they initially painted the entire house the wrong color (white instead of powder blue).  They were SO nice about it and came back and repainted the entire house.  They did a great job, showed up when they were scheduled, were professional and did an excellent job.  I would use them again and again!

    ROB JOHNSON CONSTRUCTION
It could not have gone any better. I was overwhelmed when we inspected the house, I knew we couldn't do the amount of work that was needed ourselves. Our realtor recommended Rob Johnson Construction. From the first time I talked to Rob I felt that I was talking to a professional. Rob came over to the house did a thorough inspection with me. I gave him my list of repairs that needed doing. He got back to me very quickly with the estimate and we agreed for him to start. He got started in about a week, finishing up another job. His crew came in and quickly started to work, repairing sheet rock damage, removing the closet repairing the floors, repairing under the sinks. A lot of trim work needed fixing, rehung an interior door. I've done several rehabs myself and I want to say that I was impressed, I don't think that there was anything that they couldn't fix and the work was quality work, first class. The outside repair work was very professional. Then the paint crew was next and I could not have been happier with the work. Extremely neat and careful, the paint was top quality, and their work was very professional. The carpet was put in and the inside of the house was essentially done. The yard was a disaster. The crew that Rob has is very good, they did a lot of work in a very short time, a lot of hard work and the yard looked good when they were done. I don't think the house would have sold as fast as it didn't Rob had not done the work. In fact the eventual buyers came in the house while it was being renovated, I told them not to mind the work that was going on, and they were impressed with the quality of the work.
The word that keeps coming to mind when talking about Rob Johnson Construction is professional. He is very concerned that I as a customer was satisfied with every aspect of the job, from start to finish and I was. He gave me a quality job at a very reasonable price. He only has the best workers that work for him. I would recommend Rob Johnson Construction to anyone for a small rehab such as mine all the up to building the house of their dreams.

    Red's House Painting & Repair
Red and his crew were great to work with from start to finish of each job. Red would show up when he said he would and be on time. He was constantly in touch on a daily basis with us, letting us know where he was, when he'd be there, the status of the job, and making a plan for what's next on the list.
Red bent over backwards to meet our needs. When the color stain we picked out didn't look good with a test step, he got in his truck and took us to where we could get just the right color. When the coverage of the paint wasn't completely perfect in every spot, he had the crew go around the entire house again instead of trying to touch up the thin areas. They made 3 passes around the entire house before he was satisfied despite the fact he had set the bid for 2 coats.
Red was always looking at the job from the point of view as if it was his house. When he saw something that could easily be fixed as his crew went around the house painting, he would just fix it. The broken motion sensor light fixture is one example but there were numerous other little things he did that made a huge difference in the overall end result on all the jobs he did for us.
Red always has a positive attitude and a smile. "You gotta make the customer satisfied" is his motto and he stands by it without hesitation. And on top of this great service, he would show up with food on a regular basis. LOTS of food. He brought us fresh corn and tomatoes, homemade pickled okra and onions, and even his famous BBQ ribs and dirty rice - enough to feed 15 people for July 4th!!!
Red's bids are reasonable, his work is great, and his attitude and reliability are a welcome relief from the norm. We recommend him without reservation, particularly for exterior painting jobs.

    Charleston Painting Contractors
Chadwick came out to provide the estimate and handled all the scheduling and interaction with the crew.  He has a very pleasant manner and was always willing to answer any questions.

The house was pressure washed as part of the prep work on a Friday, and the paint crew showed up on time as promised Monday morning.  They spent the entire day Monday scraping, sanding, and painting trim.  Tuesday they completed the trim and brick painting, and got one coat on the siding.

At this point the crew foreman pointed out that the single coat of paint on the wood siding, while sufficient for protection and would be warrantied, was not providing completely opaque color coverage.  He offered to put a second coat on a small section at the back of the house for me to compare, and if I then wanted to put a second coat on I would need to discuss with the General Manager.

I did choose to have a second coat of paint applied to the siding, at additional cost (included in the total for this review).  I was not pressured to have this work done, and was assured the 3 year warranty would apply whether I had it done or not.  The second coat of paint did improve the aesthetics, and I feel it will provide additional protection in the harsh environment at the beach.

The entire crew was very professional and friendly.  The house looks great - very high quality of workmanship, no drips of paint on windows or on the ground, smooth and even coverage all the way around.  The work area was left clean and I am very satisfied with the job.  I will call Charleston Painting Contractors again in a heartbeat.
