Tony did a great job building our brick mailbox and repairing our front steps. He responded promptly to our inquiry and brought samples that he thought would complement our 32 year old house. The mailbox is beautiful and looks like it has always been there. The brick he recommended is perfect and we are very happy with the quality of the work. Our front steps had gaps in the mortar after years of wear. Tony repaired them so water no longer gets in the cracks between the bricks. We are very happy with the appearance of the steps and Tonys attention to detail. We highly recommend Standridge Masonry & Repair and would definitely use them again.

    Extreme Builders
Our kitchen project was extensive, requiring demo all the way down to the studs. This was our third renovation with Extreme and I am still blown away by the finished product. The sub contractors were fantastic, the quality was top notch and the pricing was VERY fair. This company is so amazing they are too busy to start on our fourth project as quickly as we would like!

    TOP HAT SWEEPERS
Very well. Company ordered the piece I needed. Came in within the time-frame I was quoted. They did show up to install without calling me first. Owner did call to make sure it was okay to go ahead and install - he was parked outside. This was no problem as I was home. Maybe they were in the area. Owner did point out possible issues, which he does not work on. Gave me possible contact if issues should arrive. Also supplied me with pictures of the work he completed on my chimney so I could verify the work. Only took about an hour to remove old and install new cap. Might have been a little expensive, but worth it for the quality I feel was provided.

They came out an inspected the windowsill and found it wasn't the bricks it was the caulk around the flashing that needed to be replaced. I was given instructions on how to fix it and what caulking to purchase. It was an easy fix! If I ever have a problem with masonry, I will definitely call on them again.

Prompt response [within the hour] when I called to get an estimate and if could he take on this project.
He offered options as how best to replace back door brick steps given the tightness of the space when cars were parked [the space allocated to parking and the size of the steps had led the previous owners to install steps which were too narrow plus substandard mortar had been used apparently causing the steps to fall apart].  New steps were the only practical solution since the old steps had been removed and cinder blocks had been used as temporary steps.  He built new steps which had the proper depth and height and increased the overall width of the steps making it safer and easier to enter or exit through the back door.
All of the foundation vents on the back side of the house were to varying degrees below ground level.  [During the recent floods water used those vents to flood underneath the house.]  Only some of the vents had some sort of brick wall around the vents and those that were there were not high enough to be effective.  He built new protective walls for two vents, he added additional height to four vents, and he built new protective walls for three vents on the end of the house.
There are six front steps and in the fifty or so years of the house much of the mortar has disappeared.  Several bricks on the edges had come loose and three bricks at the top where the wrought iron railing was anchored had come loose.  The railing itself was very "wiggly".  The bottom row of bricks had an area where several bricks had begun to sag.  All of these issues were identified and he repaired and replaced bricks where needed.
The quality of the work reflects on his attention to detail, his skill, and his professionalism.  Very reasonable cost.  He removed all construction debris.
Will we use him in the future?  Absolutely!  We have already agreed on our next project [driveway repair and new walkway to front steps which will begin after the holidays.]

The owner called me around 8:30 PM on Tuesday and had sounded like he had been drinking. He wanted me to pay him more money for the work after already agreeing on $900 for the job. He said that the brick work would be the same as before, which the top was rounded, but it isn't the same and the top is now flat. He told me that he could use old bricks, but he had bought new bricks. He also said that distance he had to drive would cause the price to go up, but I think he should have factored that into the estimate when he initially drove out here. He also wanted to know how much the insurance company was paying me as well, as the damage is covered by insurance.

I contacted Danielle and made an appointment to meet her to get a quote on some foundation work.  She was to meet me at on Friday at 10am.  I took off from work to meet her, she called from a new phone number at 10:30am to explain to me that she and her partner broke up the prior evening and that her partner took her truck, phone, computer etc. and that she would not be able to meet me.  I was willing to understand the upset in her business and agreed to meet her again on Monday at 1:45pm.  I took off from work to meet her.  At 2:15pm she was a no show, and no contact.  I called her phone and there was no answer.  I was unable to leave a voicemail as this had not been set up.  I sent a text as well but got no reply.  I wasted a bunch of time trying to be accommodating to her needs.  She did not have the courtesy to even call to cancel.

Tony came by soon after he was contacted and surveyed our problem. He then scheduled the work as soon as possible. A few days later he began and soon had the problem solved! Now our front steps look good and are safer as well.

First, they were extremely prompt in their response.  They came out and provided a great quote and spoke candidly about the repairs I wanted done and what was really needed.  There was complete honesty on their part and that was very much appreciated. I was assuming I needed a lot of work but when they actually explained to me the details of the job that needed to be done it was far less severe than I thought.  There was plenty of opportunity for the company to take advantage of my ignorance and willingness to pay but that's just not how they work.  I would highly recommend MD Masonry to anyone with any masonry needs, whether big or small!  Absolute professionals, very attentive, and honest!!

Tony's work, attention to detail and customer service were great. I wish I had found him sooner and he worked quickly to help repair our home in order to put it on the market. He is a busy man so it may take a call or two to coordinate the schedule, but he was always prompt and committed to getting the work done quickly and done extremely well. I can't recommend his work enough.
