    All went beautifully, well made, punctual, pleasant service people. Absolutely no follow up in customer service. Counter top installed 7/3/18, started calling on 7/5/18. There are visible buff marks on the counter top and a small chip. Been calling weekly since 7/5. Always spoke to a person who said she would give them the message. Have yet to receive a return call. Reported to BBB, I want issue resolved, repairs made.

    It was a pleasure to with Frank and the team at DIY kitchens and baths. Frank provided a no-pressure consult and advice based on my style and family���s lifestyle. I gave a B for punctuality due to the need to reschedule due to an unforeseen delay related to a job they had earlier in the day. However, the communication, ease, and finished product were all excellent. I would highly recommend.

    Cheryl was the designer of our remodeled kitchen. This was a present for my spouse which she kept as a surprise when I purchased a consultation from her before Christmas. Cheryl then did the design work and then acted as General Contractor with all the trades that were used from Demo to Final Painting. Her work was flawless. Some of her contractors needed her professional guidance and motivation to get past a couple delays. Overall my Spouse is thrilled with the result. Cheryl made a difficult process tolerable and made sure everything was done perfectly. She became more than a designer she became a trusted friend and extended family member. I do not think you can have higher praise than that. I would recommend her as a General Contractor for any project she knows how everything must come together to make a design a reality. Description of work: A completely remodeled custom kitchen in a house built in 1990. New flooring, New Cabinets, New Stovetop, New Lighting. Total Job cost around $48K

    The guy came out and measured in 2 places in our kitchen. He told us that he had to have the current counter tops removed before he could create a template for the new ones. I spoke to another contractor who told me that we should not have to do it that way, because it resulted in us not being able to use our kitchen. When they brought the counter tops in and installed them the granite was not smooth. There are places in the counters where it looks like there is something on them. I called them to ask about he counter tops. I was told that I signed a paper and I was told that I agreed to natural stone. He told me to call his wife, the owner, and hung up on me. I called the owner, but have not heard back. When I got an initial estimate, I was told that the cost would cover everything. Once the counters were installed, I was told that the installation of the plumbing would be extra.

    A huge shout-out to Rocky Tops Granite and Marble. 10 years ago they installed our kitchen and bath granite counter tops and sinks. a few days ago due to age and probably moisture, our kitchen sink completely broke loose from the granite counter top. Today a repairman came by did a complete reinstall of the sink, using more modern and hopefully as effective adhesives, The cost to us was $0.00. Yes they charged absolutely nothing for the repair after 10 years. I suggest looking to them for your counter needs.

    Lifetime Cabinets
    Marcus came out to measure the kitchen and assess our needs. We went to his store in Chapin and ordered the cabinets with Ryan. The granite was installed on January 10, 2017, and the nightmare began on January 11, 2017. When I came home after work, I noticed large amounts of water under the sink. I also noticed that water was also under the dishwasher, the hardwoods were warping and the water was into the sub floor. Apparently, the water had not been shut off completely when the company's installers removed our sink and plumbing fixtures. There was a dismal mess in my kitchen. When I called Marcus that same afternoon, January 11, 2017, he promptly began to cite Rule 1 of the contract under Demolition and Job Site Preparation that states, "LC is not licensed or insured for plumbing, or electrical work.....his company is not responsible for any damages....". During our extremely heated conversation that afternoon, Marcus repeatedly stated that "rule 1 is very clearly spelled out", "you signed the contract", "none of this is my problem" and "you should go and get a plumber". It became abundantly clear that Marcus was not going to take any responsibility for his worker's negligence. What reputable granite company hires workers that do not have the forethought to completely shut off the water??? As a result of their negligence, we have serious damage to our hardwoods and sub floor. At this point, we are working with a mitigation and restoration company to help get our kitchen back to normal so we can replace the damaged hardwoods and sub floor. The only saving grace in this horrible mess is my plumber who was already scheduled to reinstall our plumbing fixtures. Mr. Tim Cook, owner of American Plumbing Service, is a caring and honest plumber (he's on Angie's List should you need him). Tim helped me shop vac the water out from under the sink and dishwasher, he helped vacuum up as much water as he could from the sub-floor and hardwoods, and he reinstalled the plumbing fixtures. Although we paid $2840 for the granite and installation, I have no idea how much more we will have to pay to fix his installer's negligent error. My hunch is it will be far more than what we paid for the granite. This is inexcusable. I cannot recommend Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops to anyone--ever. Be warned--should you incur problems, Marcus will simply inform you that "you signed the contract" and "it is not his problem". Don't be surprised if be becomes belligerent, shouts at you, and takes absolutely no responsibility for his errors. Stay away from this company.

    Horrible. It took them 4 weeks to get me the countertops and then they had cut the back splash upside down. Another week and I had to threaten them to get them back out there to finish and the new granite piece did not match what was already there. Another 2 weeks to get the manager to come out and look at the mismatch and agree to replace it. For all of my trouble they gave me a whopping $75 discount

    Affordable Quality Marble & Granite

    All is well and Affordable came through. Although there were some issues to overcome that were only caused by our builder not being there, the AQMG crew improvised and the granite looks great with no imperfections. We are very happy and would definitely use them again. Many thanks to them and their crew for shifting busy schedules and working hard under a time crunch to show up with a perfect product.

    Stone City Cabinets and Granite
    Easy to work with, professional and respectful, excellent concern about flooring by covering all with drop clothes, and beautiful counter tops at a price hundreds of dollars less than 3 other bids.  They ran into problems due to this being an old house where not everything is level and squared off but they did what they could and caulk will have to do the rest.

    Cheryl was at first responsive but be ready to be frustrated soon. After the initial consultation it took her 5 weeks to deliver a design. She postponed the design presentation twice on the day of the meetings. She told me on 5 occasions to expect a call from her construction guy who never called me despite her assurances. She was 30 minutes late to the meeting and but didn't call to tell me she was late. Her presentation was binder with printouts of marketing images from fixture design companies, 3 tile sample boards, and 4 small pieces of marble. She told me what I told her at our first meeting and had a tile guy take some measurements, she then asked to use my laptop to log into her email account to show me the fixtures she found. I was appalled by the lack of professionalism which got worse when she told me she didn't email it to me in advance because she didn't trust me to have it before her big design reveal. The worst experience with her was at the end of the meeting when she asked me for payment without an invoice. When I asked her to email me the invoice and said I would mail a check she did with a rude note telling me it should have been paid upon receipt of her services and asked me to email my credit card number to her. She billed me for over 7 hours of her time but I can't tell where more than 45 min was spent.
