I bought a new Hustler mower from Hilton's. They were okay on talking to me and answering my questions. However, after buying the mower and bringing it home, I had a tire that would go flat every few days. I took the tire back to them, and they told me that sometimes that happens on new mowers. They explained that sometimes the tires they get from the factory aren't always seated properly and they do the best they can to catch them before they go out. But not to worry, they can fix it no problem. I was a little surprised when the lady that took the tire said it'd be about five business days before it was fixed. It takes about ten minutes to unseat, clean and reseat the tire. That's at a slow pace. About five business days later, they called and tire was ready to be picked up. When I picked it up, they charged me $30! THIRTY DOLLARS!! For a tire they sold me that was faulty to begin with. They sold me a bad tire, then charged me $30 for the ten minutes (at most) it took to fix it. For crying out loud, that's an unacceptable price to have actually fixed a bad tire. The tire wasn't even bad, it was just seated improperly. Once they've sold you a mower or other machinery, you're not a "valued" customer any longer. Will never go back to Hilton's based on ridiculous pricing and charging for what should have been under warranty anyway. It was their fault the tire was going flat since they didn't properly check them. It's not a big deal, oversights happen, until they charged $30 for it to be made right - then it wasn't okay. The quality of their equipment is good, but can get that many other places. They don't sell anything unique to them.

My gas powered push lawn mower hadn't been working right for almost 2 years.  When I took it to CNE Doug immediately saw what it was and we had a good laugh - too embarrassing to put it in there!  He gave it a tune up, oil change, new filter, cleaned the carburetor and it runs like a charm.  This place is excellent and I didn't have long to wait for the repairs and they were shorthanded at the time.  I also had an informative conversation about lawn mowers and I appreciated the respect I was given as a client.  I'm recommending this business to anyone who needs small engine repair.

Did not receive any update from business so went back a few weeks later.  Was told that they check some things but need to check some more because they could not find the problem.
Called mid-November but generator was not ready.
Called the beginning of December, generator was still not ready.
Went to business around the second week of December and was told they hadn't got back to the generator because they had gotten busy.  In my mind i am thinking really? I am a customer, who brought you an item to be repair two months ago, but you were to "busy" to service my item.  I told them I would take the generator with me.
They brought the generator out with the carburetor parts and air filter parts in a plastic bag . Because I hadn't called to tell them I was coming to pick it up it wasn't put back together.
Never received any update calls from them during this whole time.
I would not recommend this business to any of my friends or acquaintences.

    Sandhills Power Equipment Repair
After reviewing Angies list for someone to repair my lawnmower I contacted the Sandhills Power Equipment Repair. They came out to my house and picked up my mower at no cost and within a few days had it repaired. My mower has not worked for about two years because the last company that fixed it did a very bad job. Sandhills was very professional thoughout the process and evn-though they needed to make an adjustment they came back to my house picked up the lawnmower and brought it back the same day. I am very happy with the overall process and results.

Subject told me that it would take 1200.00 to repair so I should buy a new one for 1499.00.  Charged me 81 for the estimate.  Took to Irmo equipment and they repaired it for 295.00--running great.

    Midlands Lawn Equipment Repair
My Honda lawnmower was getting more and more difficult to start until finally it wouldn't. I checked all the obvious causes to no avail. I took it to Richard at Midlands Lawn Equipment Repair on Friday and he had it ready on Monday! Fast service and he gave me more than I expected. Richard is extremely knowledgeable and shares information with you to avoid problems in the future. Like for me to stop using old gas. My Honda runs like a top on the first pull like it was new. He is fast and reasonably priced. I've been a regular customer for years. I plan on going back when the mower starts to act up again and I recommend him to my neighbors.

Took in a lawnmower that wouldn't start. Right from the beginning I was very impressed with the greeting and professionalism. They answered my questions and I felt very confident in their ability to work on my lawnmower. They needed to keep it to diagnose the issue. They called the next day to discuss the issue they discovered and get my approval to move forward. They gave me a estimate and said it would be a few days--they had to order a part. A few days passed and then more than a week. I called them and they said it was ready, so I went that afternoon to pick it up. I'm not sure why they didn't notify me that the service had been completed. The final bill was actually about 20% less than what they had estimated. I hope the lawnmower is running for months and years to come but if other issues arise I will definitely return to CNE for service.

    Ben's Lawn Mower Repair
Fantastic service! I dropped off the mower at noon on Saturday. A few hours later Ben called to say that it was ready. I picked it up Sunday and was able to mow my lawn that afternoon. I was expecting to be without the mower for a while...the last time I took a mower to a shop for a tune-up they took over 2 weeks. Ben's turnaround time was incredible, plus he offered much appreciated maintenance advice. Highly and enthusiastically recommended!

While the cost of the pick-up and delivery was a bit expensive (30.00), it was worth it to me not to have to transport the lawnmower. They changed the oil and spark plug and checked the cables and sharpened the blades.
