Our doctor recommended them. They have been excellent. They are very responsive and they have been here when they said they would. They are pleasant to deal with. We've had a very positive experience with them. We haven't been billed yet.

NHC Health Care was used for in home services.  They come every Thursday.  They are pretty good.  I like that it's convenient as he as not able to get out readily, so it's easy for them to come into the home.  They change the nurses.  Usually he has one for three or four weeks and then they change which is a little bit difficult because he's not used to them and they aren't use to him.

    Palmetto Health Hospice
Everyone from the Palmetto Health Hospice who helped us was exceptional. An aide came every morning, the hospice nurse 2 to 3 times a week, the social worker and chaplain stayed in touch, and we had a wonderful volunteer who came 2 times a week so I could go out. I knew that if I ever needed help I could call. It's difficult to care for someone you love knowing he is dying, but I knew I had the support of these caring people. The hospice nurse was with us when my husband died and she took care of all that needed to be done, calling the coroner and funeral home. Palmetto Health Hospice made everything as good as it could be.

I have had them for about 15 months. They have a nice office. My mother has dementia and she doesnt talk much and she has a hard time expressing what she needed. Their girls were real good and they really cared, and my mothers condition didn't seem to bother them and they helped her go to bathroom and have her meals, and made sure she wasnt alone while I was away. I didn't have any complaints are problems. I called whenever I needed help and they always found someone to come over and help me out. I had them come 7-10 PM to get her into the bed and 7-10 AM to get her up and give her breakfast and everything.

They were flexible with scheduling and were always on time. They would sit with her and they would help her get to the bathroom, and they would make sure that she got her meals. I didn't like to leave her by herself to eat as I was afraid that she would choke if she had to eat by herself and having them gave me a break because I was watching her 24/7. Initially, they started out by coming on every Fridays so that I would have a day to myself and then they started coming on Tuesdays and Fridays and I was able to use them frequently. I was able to get some time off to go out of town trips. Finally, I have admitted her into a assisted living so that you could get 24/7 care.

I initially heard about them through a friend of mine who use to go to them and also because they use to do some services like flu shots and that sort of thing at my church. They were here yesterday to check my husband's luminal levels. I have been very pleased, particular with the therapy aspect and that is why I signed down with them. The therapist I had was just excellent; she was always punctual and if there were any problems when she would not be, then she would call to inform me and she would always call ten minutes before she arrived, so that I would be ready for her. The nursing services wasn't as reliable and that may have been because they didn't have as much to do, all they did was come out initially, set up the services and then they would come to check my husband's luminal levels, so we saw three or four different nurses. I think that was a little different than it usually is and usually they assign a nurse and that nurse takes care of the person, but here the nurse that was assigned to me didn't come and I think that is because of a personnel problem. The times that they did come, they were very efficient, and they did what they needed to do and we were well cared for. I will continue to use them in the future.
