I used Studio K again (I have used their services before on another project - kitchen cabinets refacing), as I was extremely happy with the work they did the first time. They did not appoint. They coordinated and scheduled all the work at our convenience and arrived on time as promised. The countertop replacement took about 5 hours. The cabinet work took a day and a half. ACayce Custom CabinetryJohn, the owner of Cayce Cabinetry added several custom features to our kitchen. First, they worked with Rocky Top Granite to add a raised bar to the existing counter. They matched the wood and granite perfectly. No one would ever guess that the bar was added years later. Next, they added a huge floor-to-ceiling pantry and broom closet with custom pull-out shelves. The new cabinets expanded our kitchen storage tremendously. The inside wood is top quality stain grade lumber and the outside matches the existing cabinets exactly. Also, they built an appliance garage in the corner to hold the mixer and added a custom pull-out trash can. The appliance clutter is gone from the countertop and our trash is hidden under the counter. I would recommend John to anyone remodeling their kitchen. Cayce Cabinetry did a great job, exceeded our expectations, and charged us exactly what they estimated.- Marc W.

AWorking with Construction Specialties of Columbia Inc. was a wonderful experience. Daniel and his team are true professionals. Daniel is attentive, detail oriented, and most importantly honest. His projected cost for the project aligned pretty close to the final tally, which is indicative of Daniel's knowledge of the construction and remodeling field, his attention to detail, and his familiarity and working relationship with community suppliers and individuals in the various trades. Remodeling an old house included a hiccup or two. Though there were a few obstacles, Daniel carefully assessed each situation and provided me with several options for each. He was also willing to listen to alternative solutions, which was particularly important for me as a woman working on this project with him.

FThey are very good at making a good initial impression. I was asked to make a deposit of approx. $2,780 for a shower renovation project. However, I was shamelessly told that the contract would not include any start or completion dates of any kind because if they could not meet a deadline, I would become angry, and they could not continue to work with an angry customer. According to Dan Osterhaus, we had trust each other if we were to do business together. In other words, he wanted me to give him $2,800 with no commitment whatsoever that he would ever start and/or complete the work. This guy is either a cunning and dishonest businessman or a complete idiot; two very good reasons not hire this company.
