    Engine Menders
This family-owned business has a team of knowledgable mechanics & body shop technicians who have been taking care of my cars since 2014. Shane, the owner, has had the exact same crew since I became a customer, and they're all friendly yet professional, with a love for cars that explains their knowledge about them (impressive). It doesn't matter whether you have a 2003 Ford Focus or a 2018 Lexus, they'll fix it for a very reasonable price--and teach you something you needed to know in the process. They're located on Bolton Street, just off of 378/Garners Ferry Road. Look for the O'Reilly Auto Parts store, across from Zaxby's. I truly would not go anywhere else.

    LOWER RICHLAND MOTORS LLC
They are closed right now. They had a death in the family and they are all hung up in legal battles right now because his father's name was on the owner's list. They were expected to be out for 1-2 weeks, but it has been over a month now, so I don't know what is going on, I have no contact with him. I would use them again, I am waiting for them to open up again. They are highly professional.

    MIDLAND HONDA
I will give them a B for the price and the rest of it.  We've kept the car going there to the dealership since we owned the car.  The waiting time was probably 45 minutes; it was shorter than for the Mazda.  The workers were professional; it's just that they always constantly want to sell you an air filter for the cabin, a cabin air filter.  Every time you go in, it's oh you need another cabin air filter.  I go, I don't think that much bad air is in this car.

    Import Specialties of Columbia LLC
Because I was in a time bind, I approved work prior to checking with other service providers for price comparison or to verify accuracy of diagnosis. It turned out that Import Specialties was over $400 higher than 2 other reputable companies that I checked with. Unfortunately, it was after the fact and I had already given approval for work to be done. When I questioned the price, owner became defensive. A friend who had accompanied me to pick up my car tried to ask some questions and was told "Get out of my shop". I was also told that no one had ever complained about his pricing before. However, several other people have shared similar experiences. Regarding the quality of the work, I guess I will not know unless I experience some additional problems.

    AAA Auto Repair
In this particular area AAA has mechanics that do complete auto service, sell insurance and have travel agents. It's really interesting place to go get service. It only took about 30 minutes. I was very pleased. Briefly being in this business for a short time and trying to increase the business from where I was they have sorta realized where you can go to. I was in this business for a short time and I was trying to get to where they are now.

    Dick Smith Ford of Columbia
I took my truck here for oil changes, and they always did fine. The part they replaced looked like they may have forgotten it, but they were able to help get the part replaced the second time around. I have had about 3-4 oil changes here, and have gone about 5-6 different times. The service manager always makes sure the customer is satisfied.

    Bullard Auto Repair
They are excellent. His prices are good. They are repair prices, but they are fair. He repaired some work that another place messed up. He went above and beyond to get my car back to me as quickly as possible.

    JIM HUDSON TOYOTA SCION
We mainly go to Jim Hudson Toyota. They are really good. They really do a superb job. I think they are a good service. They have a great waiting room and are reasonably priced. They take service seriously, and you can really tell. We bought our cars there and we've been very happy.

    STOKES-TRAINOR CHEVROLET
They had a recall and they fixed it in November. The owner walks the floor. He gave me gas to come home. I could not get my corvette home. He brought my car to me after the repairs. They do delivery service. I want the same mechanic to work on my car. They give free gifts to their clients. They're clean. It's a family owned business and are very professional. They don't have you pay unnecessarily for things you don't need.

Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care
They did a really good job. I have got another one in there and they are working on that. I would give them an A plus because, something went bad and he fixed it for free. For price, they are like every body else, I checked with 3 or 4 other people. The transmission is really good. They are having a hard time getting this next one fixed but they are working on it. Punctuality is pretty good. What made me bring the other vehicle in was because he stood behind his work.
