ADG Builders LLCDavid and his crew were wonderful to work with! They were professional and responsive to all our requests as the project unfolded and I found myself wanting to tweak the initial design in certain areas. I truly felt like their ultimate goal was to make sure I was happy with every step along the way. The icing on the cake was getting to work with Carrie- she is professional, thoughtful, knowledgeable, AND brought us cookies! Although David was not the lowest possible bid, he was close and he worked with us to trim areas so that we could fit it into our budget and still get the backyard we dreamed of. ASuperior Garage DoorAvery was wonderful! He came out on a Sunday afternoon to fix our 30 year old garage. He had to have our springs especially made because of the age of the door and came back 1st thing Tuesday morning to fix replace them. He was professional, very reasonable on pricing (didn’t overcharge us for coming on a weekend) and even serviced all the other parts on the door. I highly recommend him and will most definitely call him when it breaks down again!- Lyn B.

AStokes Concrete and DesignFred Stokes called me within minutes of my inquiry, on a weekend afternoon, and was at our house for a site visit on the first business day. Fred is knowledgeable and extreamily cordial. We discussed my needs and how to achieve them with a cost effective solution. Talking with Fred is more like visiting with your favorite cousin than speaking to a contractor. The job was formed out the first non-rain day, after the site visit, and poured the next day. Fred and his team are professional, friendly and leave the work site cleaner than when they arrived. I'm a Mechanical Engineer by degree and a Plant Engineer by occupation. Not only would I use Stokes Concrete for my personal projects I will use Fred and his team for my professional projects. I certainly would strongly recommend Fred Stokes and his team for, and stake my reputation on, the success of any project they worked on.- Louie L.

AImperium ConcreteEverything went perfectly. The first meeting occurred on the same day as my calling them. The pouring was scheduled for the following week (5 days later). They arrived at 7 am, began working immediately, and by 10 AM had everything ready for the concrete. Unfortunately, the concrete company came later than what they had scheduled for arrival. The two men there just rested or napped till the truck arrived. Since our driveway and side yard where the driveway is located are narrow, which is typical for Charleston-style homes, The concrete was brought in by small tract tractor which Imprium Concrete brought with them. Nothing in the yard or on the home since the driver was very careful. The pouring started at one corner and ended at the driveway where the blending of a curved-end driveway was blended beautifully with the present job. Their finishing even included detail on the outside edge, which gave it a richer look. There was literally no messy work or spillage of concrete outside of the framing they used to pour into. Along the home-side of the concrete finishing, they only used hand trowels for spreading and finishing the concrete so there was no mess on the wall above the concrete. After they completed the concrete finishing, they washed our driveway with soap and water! Our driveway is 100 feet from entry to the backyard end, so which made many of their chores more time-consuming and tedious. All of these special care things that they did, I didn't request. It seemed this was routine for these guys. I would use them in a heartbeat again and will recommend them to any acquaintances who are contemplating similair concrete work.- augustine G.

FI had a (1) spring break and needed it changed. I was told of the $59 service call. When the tech arrived, I was told the service call fee was for him to come out and assess the situation. I saw the spring break, knew the spring had broken and could visibly see the spring was broken and explained that to them when I originally called. I was then quoted $280 for one new spring, which included installation but did not include the service call fee. They then quoted $120 if I chose to have the second spring replaced at the same time. (How are the prices so different?!?) I checked 3 sources online and the HIGHEST price I found for the springs was $90, but found them as cheap as $70 FOR TWO SPRINGS and the bars to tighten them!!! I called another local company just for a quote and was told $179 installed! I was GROSSLY OVERCHARGED for the parts and installation! I was charged $339 (minus $15 for a military discount) to have one spring replaced! I was referred to call back to the office for my complaint which the lady told me she was not aware of costs that it was set by the tech. This is the LAST time I will do business with this company as I was completely taken advantage of in my situation. Look elsewhere folks and save a ton!!!

AAfter having two onsite reviews and quotes, and doing some internet searches and estimates, I decided to with Best Overhead Door. They did a good job on their initial and visit and quote. Friendly and informative about the various options. I exchanges emails with Amanda and we reached agreement on product and cost. Had to be special order but within two weeks I have a new Door installed. They obviously knew what they were doing and were very efficient and left no mess. Great Job, great price, and great customer service!
