    Mullinax Tree Service & More
My husband and I had a water oak tree that was manageable in size until recently, when it began to explode in growth rate up and out, growing out over the side of our house and into a magnolia tree I wanted to keep. This oak was not of a desirable variety, and it was Y-shaped, increasing the likelihood of future [even more expensive] problems. My husband met with a couple of other tree removal companies who gave prices that we thought were absurdly high. Then he called Mullinax Tree Service of nearby Central, SC, and Will came out a couple of days later and gave a more reasonable price. Still expensive, but included not only taking down the tree but also grinding the stump, all the same day. So we went with them, and the experience was very good. Miranda contacted my husband and was able to work our job in earlier than promised. They brought a crew of 8 people, very professional, including a bucket truck, chipper, excavator, and dump truck. Several of the crew chipped up the large limbs as the bucket operator surgically cut and lowered them. They had everything very well coordinated, as when the dump truck filled with chips and had to take them to oak chip heaven, they continued cutting limbs and had them ready to feed when the truck returned. Miranda brought them sandwiches for lunch, and they took a half-hour break in the shade on the driveway and then got right back to it. After all was done, they asked if we were satisfied. We were. After they left, we found that they had even removed a stack of limbs my husband had been meaning to haul up to the street. Nice touch!

    Bartlett Tree Experts - 61111
They were pricey. It was difficult because the tree was between my house and a neighbor without a lot of extra space and I also had a retaining wall. They had to bring in a crane. They were careful about the underground drainage system to protect the property with the weight of the crane. I think I had the right people. I just didn't like paying their bill. In that situation I would use them again.

    Athens Tree Service, INC.
Great! All expectations were met or exceeded. Jonathan came over yesterday when I called for a quote because I was concerned that this weekend's storm would cause the tree to fall on our house. Jonathan said he could possibly fit me in the following day, at the end of the work day after his scheduled job, because the tree was a threat to the house. They arrived promptly at 4pm. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. My yard and driveway look better than it did before they came. Great job you guys. I will call them again for the next tree issue. Thank you!

    Water Works
The team is pleasant to work with. Nice folks. The work was done well, for the most part. Attention to detail could have been better. Steps in the flagstone pathway wobble; this was a key part of the job for which I was charged approximately $4,000. Elsewhere a few rotted railroad ties were left that should have been replaced, or at least discussed; and railroad ties of different sizes were used in part of a retaining wall (which doesn't look nice). Lastly, the final statement was $800 higher than estimated or discussed, about 15% of the related work in the initial estimate. Maybe 15% is within reason, but I do not believe the work of the overage merited that cost (such as moving wires for $100), but it did merit discussion before being handed the bill.

    Water Works
Chris was very professional, courteous and after a discussion of what I needed quickly completed the work. Also gave me pointers on a landscaping project I was working on. I am very please with the outcome and would be happy to recommend Water Works to others.

    Aaric's Irrigation and Sod Works
Brandon is promptly responsive to phone calls; timely; listens to the customers and isn't overbearing about what should be done; doesn't fix things that aren't broken to make the job bigger or more expensive; and is fair. His crew was friendly and polite.

    Athens Tree Service, INC.
I called Athens for a quote today because a few months back I called and asked for free wood chips if they had any that they were taking to the dump. A few weeks later I got a call and they delivered beautiful oak wood chips. I mean BEAUTIFUL chips.
Jonathan answered all my questions, and when I asked for proof of insurance on the morning that the work is going to be performed, he said no problem. I want two of the trees removed asap, which is a small job, so they are going to fit me into the schedule in two days, weather permitting. I am really impressed with this company and happy that I called them.

    Schneider Tree Care
LAST NIGHT, he emailed me a proposal with the cost for each service written separately. The software allowed me to select the services I want performed at this time. I am blown away by his professionalism.
His crew will be coming out to my property in 3-4 weeks to perform the work. The fact that there is a delay tells me that he is in high demand. If he could send someone out next week, I would not be impressed.

    Palmetto Upstate Group LLC
On time, on budget, professional work by professional people. The proof is in the product you are left with by this company and reinforced by neighbor comments and their asking for the number of Palmetto. Just relocated to SC and searched high and low for companies to work on my house to transition it to a home. Dustin Brown and his staff does exactly that.

    All About Irrigation
After we made contact everything worked out fine. He tried to follow up with me to set appointment thru the Angie's email communication system. I was not aware of your system, so his request for follow up was not received by me. Please do a better job on your web page to confirm with users and providers how to make contact with each other.
