    Steves Service
Steve was wonderful. He is very honest and knowledgeable. His work is very detailed and thorough. He was great with communications and showed up every time he said he would. His prices were very reasonable and he did not try to create more work than was needed for the job. I will definitely be calling Steve for other jobs in the future.

    Sunview General Contracting Inc
I just had a second floor porch enclosed and made into a sunroom and additional work downstairs in another room. Eric (the owner), is extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what was needed from day one. His process is very thorough leaving no doubt what we wanted was what they delivered. John, our onsite foreman is very skilled a great leader, who provided constant updates. We could not have asked for better support. The entire team did excellent work, organized, attention to detail, and a mastery at knowing how to build soundly and skillfully. Sunview is by far the best company I have ever hired to do remodeling in my home, my room is gorgeous. Sunview is located in Summerville, SC but they work in all surrounding areas and can be reached by calling 843-330-2979

    Southline Roofing
Ignacio Lopez was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. He detailed out what needed to be done and what the price would be. He communicated well and kept me up to date on the progress of the ordered replacement siding. He and a helper spent about 4 hours tearing out the old and putting up the new siding. The color was a perfect match. VERY PLEASED.

The Honey Do Service, Inc. - Charleston, SC
I am in the process of selling my house and needed home repairs done quickly. Not only did the repairs not get completed properly, but they were not completed quickly either! The workers would show up around 9am and proceed to take around 11 smoke breaks throughout the day completing 1/3 of a task then start another, then not complete the previous two and start another. My house looks like a wreck because so many tasks were started but never fully completed. Then, they proceeded to spill paint on my roof and did not clean it up. None of the corners of the house where they painted matched. There were at least .25inch gaps where boards met, also some were nailed in crooked. Also, this work was started on November 13th, lasted for 2 days, had to re-estimate, then started again on December 11th. It is now December 31st and they are still not finished. I was told this would be a 4-5 day job. I feel for the foreman; he is the only one that actually cared about the job and worked hard to make things right. As for the owner and workers, atrocious. Would not ever recommend this group to anyone, not even my enemies.

    Commonwealth Contracting LLC
I needed to add a bathroom and utility area, but did not want to increase a footprint of the house and decided to incorporate my carport into a living area. It allowed me to save on roofing and foundation, but created certain logistical difficulties in the project. Mike and his crew have creatively addressed all the issues which allowed me to maximize the living area while still being compliant with all the building codes. Work on the project was well planned and performed according to the schedule. In fact it took longer to wait for building permit from the county than the project itself. I also wanted to point out that Mike possesses a rare quality for contractor, he is very punctual and responsive. He had returned all my calls/e-mails within a day and had addressed all my concerns or requests in a timely manner. It was a pleasure to work with Mike and his crew and I would hire them for my next project without hesitation.

    Powell Roofing LLC
EXCELLENT!!!! The new windows and doors have made all the difference in heating and cooling bills, not to mention how quiet our house is. We love the roof too! James Powell does first class work and I highly recommend him.

    Steves Service
It took a while for the job to start since the previous job had many unexpected issues come up. Once on the job the work progressed well. The estimated time to complete the job was 5 - 6 weeks and that was an accurate estimation. Materials were ordered and delivered. Steve was spot on when ordering the siding - there was no overage. One thing I really appreciated was that Steve took the time to show me details on my house as the old siding was removed. He pointed out the excellent construction techniques that were used when my house was built which was so good to see and hear.

    Atlantic Coast Pressure Washing
We are first time home owners and this was our first time hiring somone to pressure wash our house. As far as price goes we didn't have anything else to go off of to compare it to but the people were VERY kind, excellent customer service, and did a great job!

    Windows for Less
I'm not really sure where to begin, so let me just say this first and foremost: you should absolutely, 100%, with every fiber of your being, avoid dealing with this company. Period. Let me expand by giving you several issues that arose during this nightmare process. The job I contracted Dave (owner) and his cronies (all also named Dave) to complete was a simple 12'x12' screened porch. The old deck was to be torn down and a new one in its place was to be built. Here's the timeline of how that unfolded: January 16th, 2017 - Signed contract to have the porch built June 14th, 2017 - Old deck is actually torn down June 27th, 2017 - Work begins on the rebuild September 10th 2017 - Screened porch is finally completed For those keeping score at home, yes, that is 7.5 months for a 12'x12' screened porch. Nearly EIGHT months. For a simple build. For reference, my friend's entire custom-built HOUSE was built in less time (ground broke in December, work was completed in June). If the above farce of a timeline doesn't scare you off, let me tell you a few other examples of the myriad of headaches I had the displeasure of dealing with: Professionalism/Disrespect - Between what has been mentioned above and what will be mentioned below, there is enough disrespect and lack of professionalism to go around. There's also this: on the day I signed the contract with Dave (a salesman) he made a comment about my appearance. On that day, I had a beard and he made an off-color joke about my name/beard and that some would confuse it for a terrorist. I kind of just awkwardly laughed it off, but this was clearly a sign of things to come from all three Daves in this scenario. On one of the last days (again, several days after the deck should have been completed), I very angrily texted him (at that point I'd had enough of his inaction) and he told me, and I quote, "Chill out he's almost done." Wonderful customer service right there, Dave. Lack of communication - Throughout the process, my calls and texts were regularly ignored by all three Daves. When things WERE done, it was almost exclusively done behind my back, without ever filling me in on the goings on around my house. You can see how that would be a bit of a problem when people would just come and go around the house and strange times of day on a regular basis. I'm not sure if this was because they were intentionally avoiding any conversation with me or they just flat didn't care. Regardless, they would go awol for days at a time. Dave (salesman) stopped responding to all my texts March 8. Dave (builder) didn't respond after June 28. Dave (the owner) scarcely responded to any attempted contact. Frustrating doesn't begin to describe it. Lies/excuses - Throughout the entire process, there was always an excuse, and a lie about the timeline. I was always only "two weeks" away from something. At one point in the process, he said the county was reviewing the permit he submitted. After weeks of no follow-up, I called the county myself, to which they said Dave (owner) was not licensed to do the work, his engineer was not licensed in the state of SC, and the plans he submitted were generic and not specific to my job. They also said they left a voicemail for Dave he did not return for almost 3 weeks before I called them to get things moving along. When I asked the county office if he is licensed himself to do windows (which their name would suggest), they stated he is not and has to subcontract the windows or otherwise pay another contractor to stamp their submission of plans to the county. The "crew" - Dave (the owner) swore up and down his crew was competent and had worked for him many times in the past. They then did not show up on the first day. When I asked Dave what happened, he said, and I quote, "they all had doctor's appointments today." An excuse fitting for a kindergartener, maybe. Anyway, when they finally do show up, Dave (builder) is in a neck brace and his "crew" is just two other people. They tear it down that day and don't show up for two more weeks to continue working at the house. After a few more visits at the house, it ends up being just Dave the builder showing up to the house. When I asked him why the others stopped showing up, he said he did not know where Dave (the owner) got his people from because he had never worked with the two other men before. From that point forward, it was only Dave (the builder) working alone at the house. Miscellaneous issues - Between the day the deck was torn down and the day they finally declared the deck complete, they had completed ZERO hauling off of my old deck. So that meant two large piles of debris taking up space in my yard, which eventually killed off two large chunks of grass. Dave (builder) also developed some bizarre habit of driving through my front yard and parking by my fence gate on days he would work at the house. My yard is not large, and there was no need for this. Regardless, his constant trips through my front yard destroyed two very distinct tire lines through my front yard. I have many, many, MANY more negative things I could say about this company, but I think you get the idea. The work itself was satisfactory for the most part (he improperly installed the door frame and just filled the bottom with unsightly putty), the price was somewhat lower than other bids I had received, but if I had known the stress I'd experience while seeing this through, I would have avoided these incompetent stooges from the beginning. I never ONCE received an apology or remorse. Not even one. These fools do not deserve to be in business.

    Custom Carolina Construction LLC
Carson and his team did excellent work and provided a great value for the cost. The work was performed while we were in another state and unable to supervise in person, but Carson did a fantastic job communicating and did exactly what he said he would do - on time and on budget.
