    I received estimates from 6 different companies and I���m so happy I chose Carolina Air Care. FIVE STARS from beginning to end. I needed a new HVAC system and was referred to Carolina Air Care by 3 different friends and coworkers. Jake came out to go over what it would include and cost. He was very informative and not pushy! (The other companies I contacted were very pushy!) Kayla was very helpful with suggesting different financing options if needed and scheduled both appointments with ease. Chris and Chase were the installers who did an awesome job! They got the job done in a timely manner and answered any questions I had. Mike was also very nice. He came out two days later for the QC inspection to verify that everything was good with the install. Very professional and knowledgeable company! Thank you!

    After talking to several other companies, hearing conflicting recommendations ("you should get new duct work and new components in the crawl space; definitely move it to the attic; a split system is best for your needs; a packaged system is the way to go."), and getting astronomical quotes, we gave up and soldiered on with our ancient and inefficient HVAC system. Many months later, a friend mentioned the experience she'd just had with Acute Heating and Air and passed their contact info along to me. From the start, it was a whole different experience. I highly recommend Acute Heating and Cooling. Thomas is patient with questions, extremely knowledgeable, professional, does high quality work, super quick to reply, great communicator, shows up on time if not slightly early, and takes great pride in his work and ensuring that customers are happy. Brian was the manager of our project and was great to work with as well for all the same reasons. The system they installed has been flawless. We've recommended them to a number of friends and have heard the same from them.

    The AC unit stopped working. The office scheduled the appointment in a reasonable amount of time. The technician, Dyllan, found the capacitor was not working and he replaced it. He did not say how much it will cost and he did not say what brand of capacitor he used. It took him about 10 minutes to do it. The invoice came at $ 170 for the 10 minutes it took the technician to replace the capacitor in addition to the diagnostic fee. This type of capacitor is priced at 12-15 USD online.

    I initially scheduled a service appointment for one of my two HVAC units that American Home Shield repeatedly failed to send qualified HVAC specialist to repair. Firstly Kayla was great to work with for scheduling and Chris M. was on time and very professional in his competent assessment and diagnosis. He broke the costs down very accurately and quoted me the exact out the door price for a new unit that I ended up paying. My preference was to not purchase a new unit but Chris showed me exactly where and what the problem was, a very accurate quote to repair the outdated existing system, and then a quote considerably less than the prior two quotes I received from other contractors. Chris also took care of Carolina Air Care���s new customer with a complementary check of my other unit and waiving the assessment fee with my purchase of a new unit. Michael and his team continued the Carolina Air Care professionalism during the installation. He and his team were very courteous while in our home and did an excellent job. After working with over a dozen different HVAC contractors through AHS it was a welcome relief to receive the great service from Carolina Air Care.

    I fixed leak by tightening but. He agreed no leak. Said $210 to replace pipe and spigot . I declined. Changed $49. Five minutes with me and five minutes to write bill and estimate. Had to get plumber because of house inspection before the sale.

    Carolina Air Care provide good service at a good value. They were punctual and thorough when installing our new A/C unit. They gave us instructions about how to get the rebates from Dominion Energy for our new system. I particularly appreciated them providing prompt assistance at no extra cost when we were trying to get our temperature and humidity levels worked out for maximum comfort.

    Goose Creek Heating & Air
    I would like to preface this review by saying I own 10 houses in the Charleston area as rentals/primary residence and interact with the trades routinely. My interactions with this company have been the worst experience I have had. I had a heat pump system installed at my home by Goose Creek Heating and Air. The new system did not do a an adequate job cooling the upstairs area of our home. The manager kept blaming it on the downstairs unit. After a stand still of many phone calls with Goose Creek I had Myers Heating and Air come out (highly recommend them) and find that a damper was wired backwards and that the unit that was installed just two months ago was low on freon. They did not do any wiring changes and did not want to get involved with another company's install. Goose Creek came back out and found they did install the system improperly, fixed the damper issue and that the system was indeed low on freon. I subsequently had to have the system topped off with freon two and four years after the install by Goose Creek. Obviously the system has been leaking for sometime. The installed system has frozen or failed routinely. Their installation has never cooled my upstairs to my satisfaction. I had an independent hvac expert come out and do load tests showing the system was not size properly. I asked the owner for a new system and he had a every excuse in the book not to stand by his work--you had other people do a service on it (excuse me for not wanting the company who couldn't wire it properly to come back every year) or they didn't service it every six months. I will have to replace it this summer five years after the install Do yourself a favor and get a company that will stand by their work. If you read their reviews most of them are for showing up on time for service calls. Based on my experience, if you are replacing a system this is the last company you want to work with.
