    Steves Service
Steve was wonderful. He is very honest and knowledgeable. His work is very detailed and thorough. He was great with communications and showed up every time he said he would. His prices were very reasonable and he did not try to create more work than was needed for the job. I will definitely be calling Steve for other jobs in the future.

    Certified Backflow
Tony Gralski was the 6th person to address my front yard fountain malfunction. He got it right! Built a custom manifold, was super responsive, and for all that work was reasonably priced. Finally have a working fountain after 2+ years and multiple other people's (failed) attempts at repair. He's my fountain hero. Also regularly does my sprinkler Backflow inspections. From now on, my 'go to' guy for solving problems.

    Freeman Repair And Remodeling LLC
It didn't go well at all this time. My first job with this company did go well, and the review I gave was an 'A'. This time out..solid 'F'. While the first job was being performed, I asked the installer to look at another project, the installation of the dog door. The installer told me what parts I needed to do that job. The owner of the company (not the installer who did the first job) told me that he had availability the first week of February. I bought all the required supplies for the job and contacted the the company to setup the installation. The agreed upon window of time was one of two days that week. After I had purchased the necessary parts to complete the job, the company owner contacted me to tell me that they were too busy to complete the job and that I had been removed from the schedule. I asked what had happened that the commitment to me would not be honored, and got a 'cut and paste' apology (got it twice) with no commitment to complete the work at any time. BEWARE; just because a commitment is made by the owner of this company, and you buy the parts in good faith, and you are on the schedule to get work done, that does NOT mean that the work will be done by this company. You can be booted off the schedule at any time, probably if a more lucrative opportunity comes along.

It went very well. Alan was on time, did a great job, was personable and professional and cleaned up after himself. The new fan looks great and works great. I have already committed to hire this company again for another project to be done in a week or two. Would highly recommend this company!

    Hands On Handyman
I called James to get an estimate. he came right out and gave me an estimate. I accepted the price and set up a time when he could do the project. He said that he needed some money upfront to pay for the materials so i sent him a little over $400.00. I went on vacation for 12 days, and got back a week or two before Christmas. Nothing had been done. when i called him, he said that he got behind, but he would be able to put the pet door in before Christmas, but he was leaving town around Christmas and would not be able to put in the fencing until after Christmas. Well i was a little disappointed with that, but decided to go ahead with it anyway and said Ok. He never came out. I called him again a little before Christmas and he said that he couldn't do any of it till after Christmas. again, he said that he was backed up. So i told him at that time that after giving him that money, that i was under the impression that he was planning on doing it shortly and had he now changed his mind? He said that he was still interested, but now could not do it till sometime after Christmas. I said just send my money back and he said OK. I waited and never received a check. I called him and he said that he had sent it and didn't know what had happened. So he said that he would put a stop payment on it and resend it. i asked him not to resend it and meet me somewhere. He did do that. Very disappointed with everything about this.

The Honey Do Service, Inc. - Charleston, SC
I am in the process of selling my house and needed home repairs done quickly. Not only did the repairs not get completed properly, but they were not completed quickly either! The workers would show up around 9am and proceed to take around 11 smoke breaks throughout the day completing 1/3 of a task then start another, then not complete the previous two and start another. My house looks like a wreck because so many tasks were started but never fully completed. Then, they proceeded to spill paint on my roof and did not clean it up. None of the corners of the house where they painted matched. There were at least .25inch gaps where boards met, also some were nailed in crooked. Also, this work was started on November 13th, lasted for 2 days, had to re-estimate, then started again on December 11th. It is now December 31st and they are still not finished. I was told this would be a 4-5 day job. I feel for the foreman; he is the only one that actually cared about the job and worked hard to make things right. As for the owner and workers, atrocious. Would not ever recommend this group to anyone, not even my enemies.

Brink Home Improvements & Renovations LLC
Mike and his team of super friendly professionals were an absolute pleasure to work with. They did a number of projects for us from replacing under-mount sinks to replacing insulation in our crawlspace. They clearly can handle both small and large projects. As a work-from-home mom with a toddler, I felt very safe and comfortable with all of the gentlemen who came to our house and I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone who needs home repairs or renovation of any kind!

    Done Rite Construction
It's been a year since we had our bathroom renovation, but these guys did a superior job for a LOT less than one of their competitor's estimate to do the same work. A friend has used them over the years and gave us a referral, so, after a reasonable estimate, we had them do a bathroom renovation. In a previous home, we'd had another contractor do a bathroom renovation and it drug on for weeks due to the unavailability of sub-contractor/vendors. It was a mini-nightmare. Done-Rite was the opposite of that. Joe and his brother Dan were a pleasure to deal with, and everything went very smoothly. After the estimate was done, I asked if it was possible to see a previous job he had done and talk with that homeowner. Joe contacted a homeowner he had done a recent reno for and arranged a visit. It looked outstanding and the homeowners were quite pleased. Once we signed on, work was steady and completed in a very timely manner. There were a couple of "quality" issues along the way, but when I alerted Joe to them, he had the vendors take care of them. I would not hesitate to use them again and have recommended them to friends. If there is one issue they could improve on, it would be initial contact. We'd left messages that we wanted an appraisal for the reno, but it took our friend that recommended them contacting him to get things going. And a friend we recommended him to went through the same thing. We had to let Joe know we'd put them onto him. But, once they got in touch with us, everything went great. People showed when they were supposed to show and the renovation was very nicely done. And Joe and Dan couldn't be any easier to work with. I wouldn't even seek competitive estimates on future jobs.

    Affordable Handyman and Painting Services
THE SHOWER WALLS ARE NOT PLUMB!!! I'm not sure how they managed to set the walls out of plumb, as this is very easy to avoid. This is causing problems as we attempt to have a shower door installed. Tile work is mediocre at best. Awful lippage on the wall tiles (12"x24" tiles). The shower does not drain properly from the corners not being built up enough. Drywall seams at the ceiling are uneven/sanded poorly. Bench seat was supposed to be replaced with granite similar to our wall tile but have not heard from contractor to do so. Did not enclose bottom of the bench, it is currently open wood. They sprayed a urethane sealant on it however we had requested it be enclosed. The last contact from this service was a message indicating they would have the seat (top, front, and bottom) in a week and requested the remaining balance owed which we paid. We chose a larger wall tile to cut down on the cost/difficulty to lay the tiles but the lippage is still an issue. We did not realize that the walls were out of plumb until the shower door installer came to measure the space. I have texted Dee, David's wife\office manager multiple times with no response regarding the walls being out of plumb.

    Family Owned Property Management
They are amazing property managers for all of Charleston. It is extremely hard to find a good property manager in Charleston, and I'm thankful that FO Property Management is now handling a large number of rentals for me. They are great if you are the home owner and they are great working with tenants as well. Thanks!
