    not good- there were multible problems all discussed with management- on first occasion I specifically asked the price to launder shirts and was told a figure. The door said back the same day . When I came in later they said they would be ready in two days- that I had not requested them to be done that day- All the shirts were dry cleaned instead of laundered- they said they needed dry cleaning-- not so-- I then signed a waver to dry clean them the next time and there was an ocult threat that i would be taking a rick to do so. They also haVE A SERVICE THAT PICKS CLOTHES UP FROM HOME WHICH i THOUGHT WAS NIFTY- ON THREE ATTEMPTS TO GET THEM TO DO THAT WERE UNSUCCESSFUL- when I got my clothes back they indeed charged be dry cleaning prices- the managed fixed those and said these were done because the label said so- upon checking these when I got home none said dry cleaning- to prevent such things I asked for an itemized receipt and they said that was not possible- they kept the itemized receipts for themselves- this prevents people from seeing such overcharges- several of my clothes were damaged in minor but definite ways- my sweater was dry cleaned appropriately but shrunk - on the first encounter an elderly gentleman was eating quietly while I was at the counter and I had to search for him-

    dishonestly, in my opinion. staff seems trained in "wealth transfer" ... from customers to cash register while getting clothes done late with Gomer Pyle - like "surprise surprise" and "geez, we had to charge you more because of x, y, and z."

    James Island Cleaners
    I have been going to James Island dry cleaners for about a year now.  I have had several undesirable experiences with them over that time.  I forgave them the first couple of times but this last incident left me speechless.
    - I have taken my duvet in twice for dry cleaning.  Both times they have misplaced it and it has taken about three weeks for me to get them back.  Each time the manager calls and apologizes (which is so nice and is why I continued to go).  The duvets once I get them back look great but the time delay and misplacement of these items is not ideal.
    - Here is the incident that was a game changer: I wait till I have a substantial amount of drycleaning to take a load in.  I spend about $350-400 a month on dry cleaning so I would classify myself as a decent regular customer.  The last time I went in I had all my clothes together and the young "manager" behind the counter was rude from the moment I walked in.  I have never been spoken to the way she spoke to me and normally, I am not one to bite my tongue, but was so taken back that I was absolutely speechless.  She was so defensive and while I understand everyone has a bad day, her behavior was inexcusable.  Two of my dresses had dog hair on them (one of the reasons I needed them cleaned) and she was disgusted.  She threw my clothes behind her and continued to rant about how she "might work at a dry cleaners but is not here to do my dirty work" then proceeded to speak to me with that tone as she took my information.  As I left, trying very hard to stay calm and just breath, I asked if there was a manager I could speak to and she proceeded to tell me her name, how to spell her name, and her phone number to call anytime.  I was so disappointed in the treatment at this family-owned local business I have been supportive of for the last year that I would not even go to pick up my clothes.  I sent my husband who also experience the negativity of this young lady.
    I will never go back.  Very disappointed.

    Coastal Carolina Cleaners and quot;The Good Earth Dry Cleanerand quot; is a family owned company.
    Patrick and Tris took great care of my sister-n-law and my self.
    My sister-n-law needed her dress pressed in time for her wedding and after calling around to different company's I found Coastal Carolina Cleaners they had the best pricing in town.
    When I arrived I was very pleased with the customer service, the origanization, and cleanness of the place.
    They had her dress ready in time for her big day.
    I later went back to have a dress pressed and cleaned and was amazed at the service and pricing.
    I will use them for all of my dry cleaing needs, not to mention they have 3 locations.

    Dry Clean World
    Tried this place because it advertise cheaper than my current drycleaning place and located in approximately the same area.  Atmosphere pretty much the same as most dry cleaners.  Lady was nice when turning in clothes.
    Quality of the work visually was about what was expected; however, after getting clothes home I noticed faint smell of cigarette smoke.
    Also the labcoat was not cleaned as well as our current drycleaner is able to clean (however, we do pay 3 times as much). Some of the stains were not pretreated.
    I guess you get what you pay for.  Overall, I thought they did an okay job, but I wanted better.

    We should have suspected something when we found several clothing items that did not belong to us but because we were living day to day in a rental and not knowing how long the repairs were going to take we did not look any further beyond what we immediatly needed. It was about 10 months before all repairs had been completed and we were able to move back into our home. As we began hanging the curtains we found all but one set was damaged. Examples of the damage ranged from the outer material shrinking so much that the liner curls up to the front, the bedding material, table coverings and curtains faded drastically in random places, the tassels on curtains and pillows were melted, drapes still having soot on them, fringe material torn off and placed into plastic baggies and stapled to the material, sewn creases in valances torn out and replaced with safety pins and custom curtains that were machine washed. CRDN has refused to accept any responsibilty for these damages as they claim it had been too long since they were delivered. We explained we had no reason to take them out of their protective packaging but they refused to accept any responsibility. They claim we inspected them when they were delivered and we have proof that we did not. We are now dealing with the insurance company over this.
