    We recently had our three dogs booked at Chapin Pet Lodge for Thursday night through Sunday afternoon. We had three gift certificates each for a 3 day weekend stay. My wife dropped the dogs off on Thursday afternoon around 1pm. She then met me for an out of town weekend trip. After getting back into town, I went to pick up the dogs on Sunday around 1:30pm. We would have picked them up earlier, but they do not open until 1pm on Sunday. When I arrived I was asked about the gift certificates, and whether I wanted to buy some. I explained that I was trying to redeem the gift certificates, and not buy any. The woman at the counter said she wasn't familiar with the certificates and would have to call the owner. When the owner arrived, he got very defensive about the gift certificates, and stated they were for 3 days, Friday-Sunday, regardless of what time you picked up the dogs on Sunday. I explained that I didn't agree with this, and I thought they should be good for any three days. I said it wasn't fair to have to pay for Sunday when they do not open before the required check-out time (12pm). After disagreeing with him, I said I would pay for Thursday night's stay. I then asked about the play times and wanted to make sure we charged only for the times they were actually played with. They should have had 2 play times for the full days, but I expected they only had one play time for Thursday and Sunday. At this time, the owner, Jeff, became very angry and told the woman at the counter to just give me my dogs and not charge me anything. He said our dogs were no longer welcomed back there, and I apparently wanted everything for free. I was kind of shocked in disbelief with how the owner of a business could act like this. With the assistance of the woman at the counter and one of the owners son's, I got my three dogs and all their belongings. As I tried to get all the dogs and their belongings situated in my vehicle, the owner came out to leave in his vehicle. I told him I had planned on paying for services we had, and he abruptly told me that I never planned on paying and got in his car and drove off. I am still shocked at how an owner can act like this. After getting home, I read another review on Angie's list about how the owner, Jeff, treated a retired military veteran the same way when he questioned the military discount policy. I was disgusted at how he treated a member of our armed services. I understand as a business owner you can make your own pricing policies and rules, but there is no excuse at how this owner reacts when a customer questions the policies. He may need to attend an anger management course!

    Kelly's Pet Services
    Kelly came to our house prior to pet sitting for the first time to get to know our dog. Our dog is 14 1/2 years old, has type 1 diabetes (requires insulin), he is deaf, and blind. Kelly immediately knew what to do and interacted with our dog in a very sweet, patient, and professional manner. I could tell right away our dog liked her and we were very pleased to see this. Kelly is very flexible and has come to help us at times with little notice in emergencies. Lately, our dog has declined in health and Kelly has been creative and patient with him as he has become quite the finicky eater. She is a high quality pet sitter and would very much recommend her.

    Up front, not first time using this service. Ms. Susan is our caretaker and provided us with a wonderful report by visit. This is our third time booking with Pet Sitting by Denise and we continue to be happy with the service. Ms. Susan offered to provide pictures and text messages on the first booking; receiving great information, decided after day two as not necessary. So, why do I continue to book with Denise, when we arrive home Sadie is calm and like welcome back. I take her for a walk and all the spots are covered, no need to stop here, keep walking. Finally, our Dog is very important to us and Pet Sitting by Denise provides a brilliant; the B rating is a bit of a head scratcher - solid A from where I sit.

    When I dropped our dog off for the weekend I was impressed with how friendly and courteous Tracy was. The problem we encountered was with pick-up. My husband picked up our dog after the dog's weekend stay and waited several minutes to be greeted while staff busied themselves with other tasks in front of him. My husband then noticed on the wall that the pricing states that military discounts are offered. He inquired about the discount since he is a guardsman who just returned from his third deployment. Jeff, the owner, proceeded to yell that it was for active military only and continued to yell and berate my husband when my husband informed him that he had just come off of active military orders. All my husband did was inquire about the discount. Perhaps the sign should read "For Active Military Only" so that Jeff does not break into screaming fits of rage? Just a suggestion. My husband did tell the woman at check out that we would not be returning. We were appalled at such treatment of customers. Not to mention that our dog's belongings were soaked in urine. We generally do not write bad reviews but felt this review was one that needed to be written. I noticed that there is another reviewer who wrote that they were screamed at as well so we know this is not the first time it has happened to a CPL customer. We thought the pricing was fair. Treatment of customers? Not so fair.

    They're wonderful. They tech did our pet sitting. Our cat has died, so we don't use them right now, but we would if we did. They were just wonderful in every way. We've been using them for several years.

    I was very dissatisfied with them and brought him to another vet.   It was very expensive.  I'm severely dissatisfied with what they did.  My dog ended up dying and they had no compassion.  They were very ... it's all about the money, all about running a thousand tests on a ten year old Boxer that basically had lived his life.  I just needed them to do what they needed to do and they didn't do the right thing.  And I was going to another vet who immediately said he's got fluid under his belly - did anybody test this?  No - they didn't test it.   She said well that would've been the first thing I would have done and that's what they did.  They diagnosed him and did what they needed to do.  The other place was charging me for tests and dog food, medications ... they gave him every medication under the sun.  They couldn't figure out what was wrong with him.  It was horrible; a horrible experience.  Their price was very expensive.  The front desk was very nice; it was the doctors who were really rude and the staff was not as knowledgeable as they should be. They were nice, but they got nasty when I wouldn't pay what they wanted me to pay.  And I was refused to have certain tests done; I said let's start with this and if this doesn't work, then let's go on to plan B.  No.  They wanted to do this all in one shot; they wanted to put him in the hospital on a cold, metal bed.  No compassion whatsoever; it was like an inanimate object.

    The feline leukemia and distemper vaccines were more expensive than at my previous vet, who charged $16 for distemper and $19 for feline leuk. This place charged $19 for distemper and $26 for feline leuk. Maybe they're using higher quality vaccines here? The veterinarian listened to all of our concerns. The staff was nice. We will be back.

    Completely unacceptable. Agreed to pay for initial visit/ consultation because pet sitter needs to meet the animals, the owners and tour the house. However just because one person shows up to the consultation does not mean they will be the one who enters your house while you are away and take care of your pets. They randomly change pet sitters (not because of a last minute emergency, but just because of scheduling) without consulting the owner. They requetsed two keys at the consultation (we wer told it. Was one for the pet sitter and one for the office in case an emergency occured and the pet sitter could not come out) but then could only find one when I asked that they keys be returned. The one key they did return via mail, in a 43 cent envelope; but charged me $5 to return the key. They don't know where the other key is, supposedly having not gotten it from the original pet sitter who did our consultation. So now do I get all the locks changed on the house, or trust that the other key is truly lost? That they would randomly assign other people to come into our house to care for our animals, people we had not met and had never been in our home or met our pets is completely unacceptable. Their prices are high (including charging $3 a day to put some fish food in the aquarium); but I would pay it for a better, more reliable service.

    They were just wonderful and took really good care of her. The floors are rather on top of concrete so it was like the floor was cushioned for dogs that were going to be in the kennel for a while. They did not look like a jail cell because they had put clear to sight doors. The beds were raised hammock type beds. If the dogs have joint problems then it is a pretty neat place. They are nice people and love the pets. Their prices are very reasonable. I was shopping around to see where I wanted to take her because she is really spoilt; whatever the price was I would have been okay. My dog cries when I leave her so they informed me that I could call anytime and someone would answer the call informing me what exactly is happening; it is very comforting.

    she was polite. small mom and pop shop. took my old nervous dog in for a groom and he came back calm unlike other grooming shop i have been to in the past. she also groomed my cat the following week awsome work hard to find a cat groomer. great work! and it only took 2 hours each to get my pet complete.
