  • Perfect. Angela was a great communicator and just fun to work with . I hadnled this all remotely and felt comfort because of the great communication. I knew what was gooing to happen and when and they stuck to thier word. Good people.

  • Contact was initially somewhat difficult. The contact person emailed me initially to ask what I needed and I gave him my availability but then it took him much longer than anticipated to get back to me. He called me night before he wanted to come out (he called ~ 6pm and wanted to come out at 0800 the next day). I said that was very short notice and I would prefer more notice (because i needed to be home and that I didn't get home from dropping kids off at school until 830 and there were other days i needed to work). I requested again that he email me, it was easier than phone (I have 3 small, loud children and phone conversations are not easily accomplished, especially at dinner time/bath time). When we finally did agree, he worked for a very brief period, it was technically 45 min but very very little was done, he had just barely blown some of the leaves, when a local code ordinance worker stopped him and cited him for not have a license for Lexington County. When he knocked on my door to tell me I was beyond shocked. Secondly, instead of commenting on the fact that he made a very poor judgement in choosing to work and even advertise for this area without a license, he told me that "now he was out 1100 bucks all because of this job." The implication was clear. I asked how he was going to remedy this as he obviously couldn't finish the job and he stated that the "3 hours would be done in just him going home to get his trailer to clean up." Again, I was shocked. That is completely inappropriate. I paid for 3 hours of work on a deal I purchased through Angie's List, I didn't pay for "45 min of leaf blowing where it wasn't even a fraction of the yard and then 2+ hours of him getting his trailer so he could clean up a fraction." He also asked me to not leave a "negative review" and I felt bullied as he stood at my door and requested this, especially after his insinuations that I was some how responsible for his poor judgment. I will state here I also feel uncomfortable leaving this review, but I will because it is important for others and for Angie's List to know. I don't expect to pay for Angie's List and not have people write what they need to b/c they feel uncomfortable. I have already alerted Angie's List, my money was refunded. I made a mistake in trusting that b/c it was Angie's List that it was a more reputable company. I'm going to now ask from now on where a business is licensed if they are coming to my home for work.

  • Young man arrived on time as expected, was polite and professional and went right to work. This was on a rental house and I could not stay the whole time (2hrs) he was there, but he called me promptly when he was done as requested and reported what he had done and completed. I would use Roby Electric again.

  • Sox and Freeman had been recommended to me by several friends, and I was told that they're top notch: very professional in every way (if somewhat on the expensive side, given their quality and expertise).  I have a hackberry tree in the my backyard that has a rotten spot on the trunk, and left a message on their machine after 5:00 pm asking to have it evaluated.  The next morning, shortly after 9:00 am, they returned my call, and we set up a time for the the following week.  Chris Freeman showed up right on time, and evaluated the tree.  While he said the rotten spot is compromised to some degree, it's not something that would warrant taking the tree down at this time.  He told me how to keep an eye on it, what the future probably holds in terms of a timeline, and also warned me about symptoms to look for of a hackberry blight that's currently affecting trees in SC.
If the tree ever had to come down, he estimated the cost would be around $2,000, owing to the tree's size, its location in my backyard near power lines, etc.  While that's considerably more than I expected, his explanation made sense.  However, what I greatly appreciate is that he didn't try to "sell" me on taking down an otherwise healthy tree now.  He certainly could have (after all, he's the expert), and could have made a quick $2,000.  But he showed professionalism and integrity by giving me an honest evaluation.  In doing so, if and when the tree (or other trees on my property) need attention, Sox and Freeman will be my first call.  And it's the reason I'm writing a strong review here.

  • He called me back promptly and came when he said he would.  Brian is very polite and efficient.  We wouldn't think twice about having him do work for us.  He tries hard to please.

  • I have a dogwood in my front yard that's in bad shape, and in an effort to figure out what the problem is, called Andy Boone at Dendrodiagnostics.  I found this service through Angie's List, and was impressed with the reviews as well as his background as an arborist.  I was reluctant to call a tree service first because I wanted an expert opinion, and felt a tree service would have a greater financial interest to advise on cutting down trees/limbs.
Andy showed up right on time, walked around my yard, looked at the soil, and gave me a very detailed assessment of what's going on with the trees on my property.  (Unfortunately for my dogwood, the prognosis isn't good.)  Andy's clearly extremely knowledgable, as well as a really nice person.  He gave me pamphlets, talked about options, and recommended various courses of action.  He also emailed me a detailed report that put everything in writing.  With the Angie's List discount and a few additional dollars for extra mileage, the hour cost $74.50.  I felt this was money very well spent, given his expertise, advice, and written assessment, and I highly recommend Dendrodiagnostics.

  • he work they did, or rather didn't do. I got no help from management when I told them that I didn't feel they were living up to the contract. I would not use this company again nor recommend them to anyone.

  • He cut my tree limbs and picked them up. When it got dark he left and I thought he would come back to finish the tree in the back, but he didn't finish the job. Every time I call him, he said he would be over to finish the job, but he never does. He took my money and never finished the job. I was told I would not get my money back.

  • As far as I could tell, everything was perfect. A beautiful day. Crew arrived promptly at 8:00. Job was finished before 4:00. Neighbors were not even aware anything had been done. The clean up was superb. Watching this crew at work is awesome. It's hard to realize how dangerous this can be when it all goes so smoothly. Great Job!

  • He was suppose to come out to my house and give me a quote in the late afternoon. I took time off from work for this. Well needless to say he was a no show. I was interested to use them because of the work they were doing out in Quail Valley. Guess I  wasn't in a high class neighborhood to get your business, eh buddy? Your loss, I have money to get these trees cut down and I have moved along. I hope you don't treat your others customers/potential customers with the lousy customer service I received, at least call to reschedule another day if you were too busy.
