    Horvat Fine Violins And Bows
Excellent work and nice guy. I ran some errands while he rehaired my viola bow, and it's now even better than when it was new. He has a lovely shop with a lot of cool instruments. He offers string repair, and he makes string instruments as well that are highly regarded. Well worth checking out, and there's not really anyone else in our area that offers this kind of quality work with such a pleasant personality......

    Zippy's Organ Repair
He did a real good job. If anybody needed an organ repair he'll certainly be the one to do it because you can't find them here. He tried to fix my organ but it was past service. But he gave me a real reasonable price for checking it. He hated the fact that he had to tell me more organs to add. I went to Florida, got a replacement organ, called him and asked him a bunch of questions about a used organ that I was going to get. He worked with me over the phone to make sure everything was okay. He does a lot of service for church organs. I thought he did an excellent job and he explained well. He helped me a lot when I was trying to purchase one. He came when he said he was going to and his price was very reasonable for the work he did. He certainly was very knowledgeable and technically very competent. He was here for probably a couple of hours but he charged a rate only for an hour.

    MUSIC & ARTS CENTER
By chance, they had a 50% off sale on guitar strings, which really helped on cost. But, the real perk was the great service they gave us. My son was using his own money he had saved and it was a big deal to him to get the guitar fixed. Although it isn't worth much, the fellow at the shop treated it like a treasured instrument. He requested that we leave it for the day so he could restring it and tune it up. When we went to pick it up, I was impressed how well it worked. The fellow at the shop asked my son permission to play it. And play it, he did! My son's eyes lit up and he had the biggest smile on his face!!

    Pecknel Music Co Inc
They were very prompt. A string broke in my guitar and I really needed the string replaced, but when I went in he told me that the strings were all really in need of replacing so I might as well just go ahead and do it then so that it would be done correctly and sound appropriate. So I appreciated their honestly - I felt like I could trust their expertise. I think they are really reliable. They have a real extensive music selection in their store. I am a music teacher so that's who I use and that's who I would recommend.

    GIBSON GUITAR
I've been playing keyboard for my church praise team "Crossing Guard" for a couple of years. Recently we lost our bass player because of a family move. So I decided to pick up that slack. I researched Gibson and purchased one of their Limited Edition 50 year anniversary Thunderbird basses from American Musical Supply. I chose Gibson because of their perceived reputation. I started playing it every day to get up to speed. I love the way it sounds and feels but it's appearance leaves a good bit to be desired. The wood that makes up the body is a very porous species and it looks like they did not fill all the pours before they applied the finish. A very sloppy job, not up to the standards I would expect of a company like Gibson. And certainly not a Limited Edition 50 year anniversary guitar. I contacted Gibson and explained to their representative this whole situation. I even supplied them with close up pictures of the condition. He said I should send the guitar back to Gibson since it's covered under warranty. I asked how long it would take to resolve the issue if I followed that path. He said it could take four to six weeks to determine if it was a problem and if so about another three to four weeks to complete the repair. I asked if they would supply me with a loaner bass during this process since I cannot afford to buy another. He said they don't provide that service. I need to be playing bass for my band, not waiting on Gibson to resolve this issue. So I'm playing my guitar, still not happy with it's looks. I decided to go through Angie's List to warn others potential Gibson clients. Greg
