After much frustration with other companies not responding to correspondences. giving outlandish quotes, etc., these guys responded promptly to our call to see if they could help with our needs. Work began and was completed promptly, they were extremely friendly and professional, and they did an amazing job. AConstruction Specialties of Columbia IncI hired Construction Specialties of Columbia to open up my living room and remodel my two bathrooms. Per my request, they set up the structure of the bathrooms and completed removing the wall in my living room. I didn’t have them complete the projects because I wanted to complete the finishing touches, with that said, I have no doubt that if they would have completed it, it would have turned out lovely. From the contract we set up, they completed everything professionally. They maintained contact with me and notified me if any issues came up that would require any additional work. They were patient and made recommendations to me that made sense. I will hire Construction Specialties of Columbia again as my projects continue.- Nate G.

FM Dillon Construction, Inc.Worse experience ever. The owner refuses to respond directly to complaints and when given the option to do the right things, he chooses to take every advantage to get one over on you. Mike Dillon strikes first because he assumes he's always boxing. MDC is a highly unprofessional company with very limited ability in the industry and a horrible reputation due to the petty owner and constant mismanagement.- Sharon L.

AThis company is top notch from start to finish! I hired them to screen in a patio after they were highly recommended by a contractor whom I know. Their online reviews were also good, so I decided to give them a try. They gave me a detailed estimate of the work before they began. From the start of the project until it was done, they communicated with me about the status of the project and their timeline for completion. Each day, the workers showed up when they promised they would, and they were always respectful of my property. The workers are meticulous in their work and want to get things just right. They don't cut corners at all. Mr. Jones (owner) made some additional recommendations above my request to ensure that the project would turn out well. They aimed to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the work and went the extra mile to address any concerns I had. I was impressed by their great communication and professionalism, and all of the workers were friendly. I highly recommend them! AOwner Ricky Stroup was infinitely patient with us, as after our initial meeting it took us over a year to hire his company to do this work. During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout! His team installed everything in one day, and all who worked on our project were extremely courteous and professional. We have been very impressed with the quality of the work. AWorking with Construction Specialties of Columbia Inc. was a wonderful experience. Daniel and his team are true professionals. Daniel is attentive, detail oriented, and most importantly honest. His projected cost for the project aligned pretty close to the final tally, which is indicative of Daniel's knowledge of the construction and remodeling field, his attention to detail, and his familiarity and working relationship with community suppliers and individuals in the various trades. Remodeling an old house included a hiccup or two. Though there were a few obstacles, Daniel carefully assessed each situation and provided me with several options for each. He was also willing to listen to alternative solutions, which was particularly important for me as a woman working on this project with him.
