    Paint It Forward
It went really well. Very easy to work with and listens to your needs. Walls look great and didn't make a mess. Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting anything from one wall to your whole house painted. Would definitely hire again if needed.

    WESTERN CAROLINA STONE CO INC
Great! Bill and his wife, Teresa spent a lot of time with us going over all the options, choices of logs, rock, showing pics of jobs they had done to give us ideas. No middle man with them. Bill actually does the work himself with a helper and his wife works at the office. Price was dramatically lower than competitor and they are much more knowledgable than others we have dealt with. Only wish we had gone to them last year when we made a poor decision going with Carolina Hearth to install logs they claimed would put out more heat-a total waste of money. Highly recommend Western Carolina Stone!!! You want be disappointed.

    Sullivan Painting
Mr. Sullivan was awesome! His quote was the lowest of the three I received. However, I liked him the instant I met him and of the other painters I received quotes from, he was definitely the most respectful and least pushy. I was really nervous about using a painter...I have always done all of my own painting but I did not think I was up to dealing with all the prep my kitchen needed and I knew I wasn't tall enough nor did I have the right equipment to do my stairs. I corresponded a lot with Kathy, who is awesome and incredibly kind. She never acted like my questions were annoying and was always prompt in getting back to me. Mr. Sullivan and his crew arrived at their promised time. They began working at 9:30 AM and finished shortly before 2:00 PM. They left everything very clean. I had to leave in the middle of the work so it was a few hours later before I saw the final project. It looks amazing and I am incredibly pleased with how this project turned out. There were no last minute price changes or charges for "extra" work. It's clear by his actions that Mr. Sullivan has a tremendous amount of integrity. His crew was very friendly. I was incredibly impressed with how quickly they worked...they did a project that would have taken me three full Saturdays in less than five hours.

    JV Painting
Jhon and his crew arrived when expected.. They were very professional and their work was excellent. He took the time to make recommendations and discuss different options with us. He estimated the painting would take three days to complete and they were done in three days. We would definitely use his services again.

    Affordable Painting Contractors
I had walkthroughs with several painters to paint my entire home, including doors and trim. Home size is approximately 3,100 square feet. During the walkthrough, I gave each painter the paint type and colors required. I also gave each painter the expected completion date. After all the walkthroughs, my wife and I settled on Affordable Painting Contractors because Jeff seemed very knowledgeable, seemed willing to do the project with the paint specified and by the expected completion date. The price was competitive but not necessarily the cheapest price, so it seemed like a good bet. The house was empty of furniture and a couple other contractors were working in the house, but otherwise for the expected duration of the project, it was in perfect condition to be painted with no obstructions. At the walkthrough, Jeff told us that there would be three painters. First day, he showed up with one other painter. They showed up late around 10:00 a.m. because of whatever reason, and only stayed until 2:00 p.m. Turns out, that was standard working hours. Sometimes we were lucky to have them for more than four hours in a day. They did not use the specified paint for the ceiling, instead they used a cheaper paint. Halfway through the painting, Jeff has his wife call me and ask for more money because the paint that was specified was more expensive. They never showed up with more paint than they would use in a day and took materials home at the end of the day. When the project was past the promised completion date and less than 75% complete, they pulled out. It was one day after we had made a progress payment to his wife (because after the first week, I never got a call back or saw Jeff in person). I tried calling him, setting up meetings, but all I would get was texts back. So, on the last day, Jeff and his brother showed up. My wife left for the store, and not 15 minutes later, I get a call from Jeff's wife telling me he fell off his ladder while painting and they would not be coming back anytime soon. Odd thing was that although Jeff was rushed to a clinic, his brother had enough time to pack up the ladders and all the material/drop cloths and take with them. We had to hire a painter to finish up the work and correct some patching and painting that was done in the last couple days. Overall, their work was great until they realized they were way behind schedule and way over budget, then it got real sloppy. I know we overpaid for the painting that was done, but what can you do when someone is dishonest and will not even face you. Fast forward two months, and while looking for something on Google, we come across the Affordable Painting Contractors Google+ website. And there are pictures of our home with uncompleted rooms and some of the few completed rooms on their website. Talk about false advertising. Nowhere did it say that this is work we never finished and abandoned the project.
In closing, if you have a small project (couple rooms or less) and an unlimited schedule, and allow Jeff to supply whatever paint he wants, they do good. If you expect anything else, go with someone else. I would advise in every instance to have a signed contract with this company to hold them to their commitments.

    Webuildit.us
We had contacted several contractors about our project but most were not interested.  Scott responded to our request quickly, scheduled an appointment and showed up as planned. This is a family business so he brought his wife along to provide her perspective and insights.  They provide documentation regarding insurance, bonding and the estimating process.  Within a few days we were given a detailed description of the work to be completed along with a cost estimate for labor and materials based on what we were wanting done.
The initial estimate was more we could afford so Scott worked with us to identify portions of the project that we could potentially do ourselves such as removal and disposal of the existing sheet rock, painting, flooring and installing door/window trim and
baseboards.  This reduced the overall cost significantly and enabled us to proceed with the project.  It also provided a situation for some 'fun' time with some of our family and friends.
Since this is a family company, all of the work was complete by Scott and his sons.  They were very professional and
considerate of us and our home and kept us informed of issues.  Yes there were some additional expenses that we encountered as a result of unforeseen conditions.  For example, we were unaware that the existing structure had a double sub-floor so there was an expense for added flooring material. However, throughout the project, Scott approach was to always
be economical while maintaining a high level of quality.  Felt like he was always looking out for us.  All work was completed in roughly 3 weeks.  Afterwards there were a couple of small issues but Scott always responded quickly and took care of it with no questions.
One suggestion.  When describing your project, be sure to provide as much detail as possible and ask specific questions. This will help establish clear expectations and prevent any unsatisfactory results.  For example, we stated that we wanted additional windows in certain locations but did not define the size.  As a result, some of the windows that were installed are smaller than what we expected since they were trying to be as economical as possible.  Just a lesson learned.

    Heavenly Home Improvements
Sean, and his partner came out and did a few things around the house. Sean did a good job fixing a rotten piece of facial board, and fixing a rotten porch post. The helper attempted to repair some laminate floors in the hallway that I had recently installed. This was my first time laying laminate floors, and I had a problem getting around the door jams. The helper attempted to go back and fix around the door jobs, but he did not do a great job with it. It was really no big deal, I ended up going back and fixing the problem myself. I feel like this was a good deal, just wish I would of used the time to fix a few other things.

    Bradley Construction LLC

I called Bradley Construction because I needed several home repairs before putting my house on the market to be sold.  They returned our phone call promptly.  Several other companies never returned our calls.  They scheduled a time to come out to discuss the repairs and give me a free estimate.  I worked with Vaughn Mitchell.  He was prompt on the day of the estimate.  He took the time to understand my situation and discuss the necessary repairs.  He told me that he would make repairs if possible and replace if necessary.  Other companies wanted to rip/replace everything without trying to make repairs.  That would end up costing me more money.  So, I appreciated Vaughn's willingness to look out for my wallet!  The job took about one week to complete.  The contractors were always prompt and courteous.  They took special care to keep my home clean while performing the work.  My front porch had several rotten spots.  Vaughn had the contractors replace the parts that weren't salvageable or weren't structurally sound.  He was able to repair several portions of the porch instead of replacing the entire porch.  This saved me money.  The contractors replaced an external kitchen door that had some rot at the bottom of the frame.  This same external door had a small amount of rot in front of it under the linoleum in the kitchen.  Instead of just ripping up all the linoleum and repairing the floor Vaughn had the contractors try and peel back the linoleum to repair the floor and they were going to try and lay the linoleum back down afterwards.  The linoleum ended up ripping.  Vaughn came up with an idea to create a small "entrance" using Parkay flooring at this door that was similar to the entrance at my front door.  They cut out the linoleum to create this "entrance" replaced the rotten floor and layed down the Parkay.  This saved me a lot of money!  It would have cost me around $2000 extra to have all the linoleum ripped up and replaced and would have added several days to the job.  Bradley Construction stands out because they are a professional company that does quality work for reasonable prices.

    Cliff'S Drywall Repair
Cliff and his team did an awesome job repairing our kitchen ceiling!  Cliff has over 30 years of drywall experience, and it shows. We have a large open kitchen which is a focal point of our house. The ceiling was flooded by an upstairs sink overflowing. The flood service tore out entire sheets and partial sheets of drywall, plus there were additional sheetrock seams and nail pops still showing from the damage. We knew paint would not hide a mediocre drywall repair job. We wanted it done right. Cliff was not on Angie's list, but he had great reviews in the yellow pages so I called him, and I'm glad I did. He works alongside his son and grandson who he has personally trained and worked with for many years. They are all meticulous, professional, efficient, and tidy. I felt very comfortable trusting them in our house. They custom fitted and secured new sheetrock, secured any sagging or bowing sheetrock to get it level again, and re-finished any seams or ceiling defects. And they supported the new sheetrock with extra wood underneath so that it will all stay snug for years to come. They arrived promptly, worked all day, and finished the next morning after sanding the ceiling to perfection.  And I mean perfection...we cannot tell there was ever any damage. I never thought I would gaze up at drywall thinking how beautiful it was, but I did.  As far as price goes, Cliff is not the cheapest (we all know you get what you pay for), nor the most expensive, but I think he's the best. I wish his team had drywalled our whole house when it was first built. We will be calling him first if we ever need significant drywall repairs again. Cliff could use a phone upgrade so he can text, but he will call you back within the workday if you leave a message with him.
