Chiropractor reviews in Boiling Springs

    Upper Cervical Chiropractic of Spartanburg
I had a profoundly disappointing experience with this practice which cost me $454 and did not include a single treatment. I was scammed. I am 6 months pregnant with extreme pelvic pain. It was recommended that I see a chiropractor for relief. A Google search led to Scott Joseph Baker at Upper Cervical Chiropractic of Spartanburg located at 8686 Asheville Highway Unit A, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. We called to confirm they treated pregnant women with my condition and made an appointment. My first appointment was a consult, exam, and partial x-ray. I asked if they filed insurance and was told that they did not. Baker told me I would need to pay in advance and that I would be provided with a super bill to file with my insurance company for reimbursement. I told him that I had already met my deductible and he said that I should be fine and that they would verify benefits while I proceeded with the appointment. At checkout, I had to pay $454 and schedule an appointment to go over the findings. I did NOT receive an adjustment. It wasnt until after this that I was told that my insurance would only cover 70% AFTER I paid the first $4,000 for up to 20 visits. I went back 2 days later for my adjustment. Again, I did not receive one. Bakers care plan was for 48 visits over 6 months for a grand total of $4,504 on top of what I had already paid and was all tailored to my upper cervical area. My neck does not hurt in any way. It did not address how he planned to help with my pelvic pain which I was extremely clear about from the initial phone call through my consult and exam. I told him that I was disappointed in the service I had been provided. I had paid $454 and had not been received a single adjustment. I did not want to pay $4,504 to treat my neck when I had pain in my pelvis. He wanted to know if I wanted to spread the payments over 12 or 18 months? Unbelievable. I again expressed that I was unhappy that I had not had a single treatment. He literally folded his hands in his lap and gave me sad eyes and said he was sorry I was not happy. I will not be returning to this place. Baker claims to believe in God. This is not the way a true God-fearing doctor would treat a pregnant lady in her third trimester having extreme pain. It appears my $454 will be used to add more decorations to his walls. Meanwhile, my bank account is lighter and my pain persists. My advice: avoid this place unless you want to be scammed.
