  The response times were always extremely quick. He was able to be scheduled for the installation only two short weeks after initial contact. He went out and flagged our yard to make sure we were happy with where the fence would be installed. As first time homeowners and only having bought our house a couple of months ago, we were unsure how long or difficult the process of installing a fence would be, but they definitely made it extremely easy and smooth for us. The end result was a beautiful privacy fence that I am excited to show off to friends and family.

  Midlands Fence

  Cody responded quickly to my request for an estimate. He seemed the most knowledgeable and had a grasp on what I was looking for. He was not the cheapest quote but he was also not the most expensive. He and his crew started on time and finished ahead of time. I'm pretty sure none of the other contractors would have worked so quickly. They were personable, courteous, fast workers and cleaned up everything when they were done. He was able to accommodate and update last minute changes, like adding an additional gate. He also gave us a good quote on painting our fence, so we had him paint the fence a few months after the wood had cured. Our fence looks great, and we get compliments on it all the time!

  Midlands Fence

  After soliciting two bids for a large, multi-level deck, we hired Midlands Fence.  Cody not only had the best bid but also seemed really enthusiastic to carry out the many custom designs my husband had been scheming on.  He stopped by a couple times to answer questions and figure out how to fit the four hexagonal decks we wanted in among the trees in the area beside our pond; he also emailed photos to help us decide about a few alternative ideas.   
  We didn't have to wait too long before the Midlands Fence crew arrived to start our project.  We couldn't help ourselves and revised things a little bit during the building process, but they took it all in stride.  In just three days they completed an amazing deck with four uniquely-shaped levels, planter boxes, a built-in storage bench, and a custom arbor/pergola over the top.  The guys cleaned up after themselves and left the area nice and neat.  We are very happy with our new deck and highly recommend Midlands Fence.  Cody is a perfectionist who enjoys getting creative with his decks and takes a lot of pride in his work--a winning combination all the way around for us!

  DISCOUNT FENCE COMPANY

  I was very surprised by the not-so-flattering review I read on Angie's List before choosing Discount Fence. My experience with them was very good. I actually contacted Jimmy (the owner) several months ago just to get a quote. At the time, my husband and I told him it would be months before we could take any action, but we wanted to get estimates for budgeting purposes. He initially came out in September or October 2012, and even though we said we wouldn't be able to do anything until and quot;income tax refund time,and quot; he was very professional and kind. He also told us not to worry, that his estimate would still be good then. When we finally called him to schedule the work in April, he came out again to walk the perimeter with us once more, and verified his original estimate. He did say that many of the stores who sell the materials usually raise their prices in April, primarily because of it being tax refund season, but he still kept with the original price he'd given us back in Sept-Oct regardless.
  After meeting Jimmy the second time, he told us to just give him a call after we had all of our utility lines marked. That took about a week, but then his crew was on site within a day of the lines being marked. They worked hard for two and a half more days and the job was done. They two-man crew was extremely courteous, professional, and efficient. They were also extremely skilled.
  When we originally got our estimate from Discount, we had also gotten two other estimates. One of the estimates was from Barrier Fence (I was not a member of Angie's List at the time, so I didn't rate the experience). Not only was I not impressed with Barrier's quality, it was like pulling teeth just to get an estimate from them. First, the owner didn't show up for the date/time upon which we had agreed, and then I believe I only got a quote when I did because the owner just happened to be on site at my neighbor's house one day when I got home from work (i.e., had I not seen him when I pulled into the driveway, I'm not sure I ever would have gotten the quote). Additionally, our next door neighbor's fence is full of split boards, uneven cuts, several large gaps between some of the boards and the gates are crooked (unfortunately, this is one of my fence walls because she had hers put up before I did). It also seemed to take Barrier twice as long to complete my neighbor's fence as it did for Jimmy/Discount's crew to complete mine.
  Jimmy is a bit old school (no website, no official estimate forms, and didn't seem to be aware of Angie's List at all). However, he was honest in dealing with us and I believe we ended up with a great product. The crew was extremely friendly, hard-working, and very skilled. I can't give Discount anything but an A rating based on my experience.

  Creative Fence By Roger

  Mr. Burrows made a visit to give us an estimate. He was very personable and gave detailed information along with sample materials and pictures. He followed up and we told him he had the job. Once the date was set for the fence to be built (stick built) he arrived when stated. The fence was built on schedule. He called us if he had questions or suggestions. Our fence is complete. If a fence can be pretty then it is! The men who built it took such pride in their work. If you need a fence bulit this is the guy to use! They have been beyond commendable!!!   I went to my neighborhood group who has to approve it and they disapproved it.  The gentleman came out and he walked through the property and actually told me what I did not think I needed.  The measurement for done and within two days they provided me with an estimate.  I had no problems with the responsiveness, professionalism, and punctuality.

  Palmetto DogWatch

  Jamie installed the underground fencing in one day and was very professional and helpful. Jamie came out on four separate occasions and worked with us and our dogs. You can tell that he truly has a love for dogs and wants what's best for them. Jamie has also called to check and see how things are going with the dogs and told us he would be glad to come back anytime we need anything. We could not have been happier with our choice for this service. The fencing is working great and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering underground fencing.
