    Kronowski, Dr. Kent E
Doctor Kronowski was excellent. He communicated the nature of the foot issues and gave excellent treatment and care. This is an excellent physician who takes the time to discuss your problems and explain the solutions.

Every time I call regarding anything, I get the 'the Dr has 24 hours to return your call' message from the office staff on the phone. I am fine with that if it was actually done. Summer 2013, I s going through some new medication and was told at my appointment that I should call if I have any issues with it. I did and got the usual message of waiting up to 24 hours but after not hearing back 48 hours later I called again. After that call it took an additional 24-48 hours to get a response. This happen several times. I also don't care to wait 1-2 hours for a previous scheduled appointment.

    Derrick, Dr.Brandi
I have just had my second visit with her. I have formed a very good opinion of her, a good bond and a good relationship with her. She is really good. She incorporates her patients into the care plan. She doesn't just make up ideas and say, "This is how we are going to do it". She makes it a partnership and that was a very good thing for me. Her staff was wonderful. I walked in and was immediately processed, went straight into a room, a nurse came in, did the first interview, finished that up and the next thing I know, Dr. Brandi is there to see me. We just had a good conversation.

    Pursley, Dr. George C.
I had to initially see a physicians assistant. She took a long time because she looked up things. she changed my medicine without letting me know. when I went to fill my script and was told the price which was a lot more then my old medicine did I realize the change. Information in my records were not transcribed correctly. I really like the Dr. It is almost impossible to get a real person to answer the phone. I was not available when I got my return call. I hate phone tag and machines. I may have to find someone more available. I an not sure of the exact date.

The first surgery did no5 go as planned due to the level of disease in the colon. An interim ileostomy was required. The Dr and the office was very concerned and sympathetic to the issue and worked to keep me comfortable and informed before the reverse ileostomy. Also experienced an infection in the original surgery sight. Had to pack the wound. I thought this could have perhaps been caught earlier, but once I brought my concerns to the attention of the office, they brought me in immediately and took me straight in to address the problem.

I went there last April. I only go about once a year now unless something happens, which there is nothing wrong with my heart. I have panic attacks and I think it's my heart, but you have to go to the hospital because it could be your heart. I give him 'A's with everything, except for lots of times when you are in his office you have to wait longer than you are supposed to wait. That is because if somebody has a heart episode, he leaves his office and goes over to the hospital to check on or operate on them or something. You just have to understand that you are sharing him with a very important part of your body and you would want him to come check on you if you were having a heart attack. You just have to remember that sometimes it doesn't go according to schedule.

    Derrick, Dr.Brandi
Dr Derrick was prompt, courteous, professional, and willing to do a complete physical as part of a new patient work-up. Her manner was open, friendly and competent. The appointment went smoothly and I am scheduled to see her again in February. I am a seventy year old licensed nurse, trained in the Army and am quite picky about my physicians.

It went very well -- except for the bizarre fact that there is no way to contact this office by phone. The phone system answers and gives you the expected choices, but after you choose one, you get a message saying their phone system is not working, and then it puts you on infinite hold. I had to actually go to the office to make the appointment, then come back on the designated day.
Aside from that, everything was fine. Waited about 20 minutes before the doctor was available, after I completed the paperwork.

Doctor Jester was pleasant, businesslike, and performed only a minimal exam -- which was appropriate for the particular prescription I needed refilled.
Except for the phone problem -- which is still not fixed after about 10 days -- I give this provider high marks based on this admittedly minimal contact.

    Byars, Dr. William P.
I was greeted as I entered the office and instructed to sign in. After a short wait, I was escorted to an examining room. I was interviewed by his nurse. After another short wait, Dr Byars and his nurse came back in and exam was performed. After I redressed I was escorted to his office area where he discussed the results of the exams and talked about how I had been doing. After that, I checked out and got my prescriptions and left. The office visit was most pleasant and professional.

I love Dr. Velky but I have a lot of trouble with the front office and getting any paper work done in a timely fashion. When you see Dr. Velky he and his nurses always act as if you are the only patient they are seeing that day, even though the waiting room is always full. The nursing staff is wonderful when I need to get blood drawn because I HATE needles and they help me through it by going as fast as they can and they don't talk to me about it. They remember me. Dr. Velky is a very caring and intelligent doctor. He looks at all possible aspects of your problem and for me without health insurance he tries to work out the least expensive route.
The front staff is the only reason I don't give the office an A+. They do not call when medication is delivered their office, a couple are very rude if they have to answer the phone because its busy, and getting paperwork signed and then getting a call that it is ready is never going to happen. They say they called but they only have my cell and it keeps all records.
If you are sent ot Dr Velky or need a Dr in the West Ave area of North Augusta, Dr Velky is worth the aggravation of the office staff. There are a couple who do care and always seem to get caught in the middle but over all you need to stay on top of them.
