    Dynamic Finishings
They were very polite, knowledgeable, dependable and trustworthy. They felt more like friends to us than just a crew doing work for us. We lucked up finding Larry Keel and his crew of Dynamic Finishings.

    Dynamic Finishings
It went beautifully! Isn't that a strange thing to say in a review for a contractor? Yes, it is strange for anyone but Larry Keel at Dynamic Finishings. They're that good! Larry and the rest of his Dynamic Finishings team listened to what we wanted for our new kitchen---and set to work making our dream a reality. They were punctual, courteous, and respectful. Seriously, you will not find better folks. Period. Larry would always make himself available at the end of each day to discuss their progress and to field any questions we may have. Look at the images---two are from the old kitchen that looks like the inside of a closet painted green---while the new kitchen is a mini-marvel. That is 85 sq. ft. For real. And it feels big inside. Everything in this kitchen is first-rate. Picasso backsplash with hidden receptacles. Under-cabinet LED lighting. SubZero Fridge / Freezer Drawers that also serve as a country sideboard. A peninsula table of Cavalete UbaTuba Granite from Brazil---the beam holding up the table came from our old house and was Larry's idea. What a great idea! The beam was replaced in our old house on the hill in Augusta and this piece serves as a reminder of that house and supports the new table. Very creative. Italian commercial gas range, 24". Yes, in the corner to the right is a 18" dishwasher---sweet! Larry made all this happen. The tile, the paint, the molding---like those windows? I do! Talk about expanding the visuals, huh? Larry made that happen. Jacobean floor tint. LED spot lights and a pantry near the entrance. Farmhouse sink, 24"--with the faucet hardware that makes washing some pots a breeze. All Larry and his team. The granite was beautifully done. The cabinets are gorgeous. Larry lined all that up and had our best interests in mind throughout. Larry did all the plumbing---for water and gas. The images do not do his work justice---as good as they are. I'm so happy that I get to sit at the table and sip my coffee in the morning and watch the cardinals and the dragonflies flit by this wonderful view. It is something special. Larry and his crew at Dynamic Finishings are special. If you're considering having your kitchen remodeled, then please please please bring Larry in to have a conversation. You will not be disappointed. If they can make 85 sq. ft. shine like this---imagine how your kitchen could look? Larry remodeled our bathroom last year---I will submit a review next on that. That's amazing as well. But, then again, Larry is in the Amazing Business. Seriously. Images say it all.

Ceiling and Roofing Doctor By Julian
Fantastic company. I rarely say that. Mr Julian has professionalism, integrity and honesty. He really cares about doing good work for the customer. It is a rare find in roofers. Small company but I would like to keep it a secret because their quality of work just does not exist in general.

    Dynamic Finishings
From the first moment we met Larry Keel of Dynamic Finishings---we were given first-rate and top shelf treatment...he's detail-oriented, courteous, knowledgeable, punctual, and has a unswerving passion to do his best at all times. He cares about each and every project as though it was his own---and it shows. The finished product was nothing short of amazing. We loved his work so much that we've contracted him to remodel our bathroom from top to bottom --- and we will contract Larry to remodel our kitchen this summer. He's making our little cottage awesome.

    Rock-it Drywall Systems
Rock-It Drywall Systems was the second contractor that I called. The first contractor couldn't tell me exactly when they would be able to get to the job. I called Bill & let him know how anxious we were to get this hole fixed as soon as possible & he came out that afternoon. He told me the process that he would have to go through to fix the hole & how long it would take. He fixed the hole the same afternoon I called him & duplicated the original design that was on the ceiling. It looks awesome! He put plastic up to protect the walls & flooring. Everything was so professional. We were so pleased with him & his crew. I will not hesitate to use his services again. It looks like a brand new ceiling was installed.

    Carbon Construction
1.) Paid $400 for the polyurethane of hardwood floors.  Their first attempt left grass and dirt debris.  They failed to cover all sections of the floors.  The second attempt did not fair any better to include poly drips on baseboards and walls.  As a result I obtained and used the correct instruments to polyurethane hardwood floors myself.
2.) Paid $250 for installation of bathroom accessories (towel rings/bars, toilet paper roll, robe hooks etc).  However when used or touched they fell off the walls.  Had to get another company to correctly install items.
3.) Paid $1200 for plumbing/labor installation when sometime later the middle bathroom experienced a major water leak so much to the point of water flowing down the hallway.  The newly custom built cabinet was completely soaked.  Had to hire another person and pay $75 to have the incorrectly installed faucets fixed.  Carbon Construction's (CC) people had the flex line twisted and crimped and used electrical tape to hold in place.
4.) Paid $7600 for "Proposal to correct drywall, trim, and paint; install metal shelving in master closets; including painting fireplace & siding."  Master bathroom:  The paint job in the master bathroom is sloppy.  Both new custom built vanity cabinets have paint splatter and paint spray over them even down to the baseboards. It's infuriating!  The custom built bench has paint splatter too. On two walls there is a total of three holes patched to the size of 3" X 5" which have not been sanded nor repainted.  Toilet door has paint so thin you can see streak marks from where it was not properly coated.  Ends of the quarter round are raw and have not painted.  There are paint marks on granite and wood trim.  There are permanent scratches on the newly laid tile where CC's team slid the bathtub across instead of picking it up.
Master bedroom closets: CC's team took down one closet door and never replaced it.  So we are door-less.  The other closet door lacks a thorough paint job on one side and the other has so much that dried paint drips are visible.  Both closets' racks were installed incorrectly using linen shelves (and upside down).  Without "cropping" clothes, the racks would not properly fit hanging dress shirts, suits, or pants.  Had to hire another company and pay $261.63 to correct CC's mistake.  This company person stated, "In my decades of experience this has to be the third worse closet installation I've every seen."
When Cliff Russell of Carbon Construction requested a review and  thanked me for using his company dated October 2, 2014, I was shocked and told him so stipulating through email the unfinished projects.  I also reminded him of the Sept. 23, 2014 "punch out" list with over 25 items that still have not been addressed.  My only response from him was, "call me."  I also asked him to explain or refresh my memory as to "what siding" was painted as stipulated in his proposal.  No response.
If this system would let me I'd upload all the photos that were also sent to CC over a month ago.
It's been exactly one month since the written request for corrections was given to Mr. Russell.  He never in turn contacted me in an effort to correct anything.  If he had I would not have submitted this review.

    Williams Roofing & Gutter
They cut corners wherever possible, the owner has a horrible temper and manners, they do not communicate from top to bottom, and have been working on our project for a month and a half now and are not even close to finished. This is just to repair a section of roof, build a small shed, and put in new carpet for 700 sq. ft. Highly upset with the work done, and the owner tried to go behind our back to the insurance adjuster and charge more after agreeing to the original contract. Always ran out of materials causing them to only work half days. I would not recommend this company to anybody, even my worst enemy. this is only a summary of the problems we have had. There were companies they subcontracted out to that walked off the job because they refused to do the below standard of work that William's roofing ask them to do.

    Pearson Drywall
The ceiling now looks awesome! Mr. Pearson removed unsightly and broken pieces of a type of plaster and sheetrock where another person had attempted to repair the ceiling. He then repaired the large opening, sanded and painted -- not only the part of the ceiling that was repaired, but the entire ceiling and touched up the molding. His work was outstanding! He cleaned up before he left, was very respectful and prompt--here exactly when he said he would be here. I was very impressed with the quality of his work.

    Pearson Drywall
Mr. Pearson came out promptly after my call and gave me an estimate. When i asked him when he could start we agreed on the next morning. The job required him to make three visits. Each time he was extremely prompt (to the minute) and each time he carefully laid drop cloths and the job area was immaculate after he left. Mr. Pearson is very personable and professional. It was a pleasure to have him working with us!

    Pearson Drywall
Mike Pearson of Pearson Drywall did an outstanding job and met all our expectations. Mike is very honest and trustworthy and ndash; in fact I met him in the morning to let him in our house, then left for work. Mike stayed until he was done for the day and locked up. Mike treated our house as if it were his own, and was very careful of our belongings. He was very meticulous with his cleaned up as well - one of my pet peeves with repair work. Everything looks great and we would highly recommend Mike for your drywall needs.
