    Wiser, Dr. Monica F.
She ran a thorough set of tests, explained the results to me and answered all (I had a lot,) of my questions.  She allowed me to try the aids she suggested for a couple of days for no charge.  I liked them and subsequently bought pair.

Beaufort Memorial Low Country Medical Group
Let me first say, I've gone to this practice for over four years, but I have seen much decline in the last year and reason for the poor review.   I have had medical issues that have been ignored and just brushed off to, "just lose wieght."  I first saw a physician there but then got passed off to a Physicians Assistant, who I saw for several years.  My last three appointments have been very disappointing.  The PA was very short with me with all issues I tried to address, and would not let me totally explain all of my medical issues.  Each time I left with my medical issues unresolved.  Now I am faced with having no doctor with medical issues.
Not only is the PA irritable, but the person who does the scheduling is quite rude.  I almost walked out and said forget it when I tried to schedule my annual physical.  Thankfully, the PA's nurse is very friendly and kind or I would have given staff friendliness and "F"
There billing is horrible now and my insurance keeps rejecting their claims due to incorrect billing.  Patients were not informed that Beaufort Memorial Hospital purchased them and that now billing would be for "out patient services" so the insurance company will not cover the claims.  It is a mess at Lowcountry Medical now.  I am not the only one who has found this.  It is horrible that at family dinners it is discussed how many problems everyone is having at Lowcountry Medical now.  Two years ago I would have given Lowcountry Medical an "A," but now I cannot.
I am frustrated with the problem of finding a new doctor in this small town as it is next to impossible.  I had to go to Charleston, SC to get my urgent medical needs taken care of.

    Peter Manos MD
Dr. Peter Manos is soft-spoken but he is very direct. He has all the tests I need to take right there instead from having a place to go and get what I need, which is something big if I have trouble getting around. He is absolutely super when it comes to end-of-life issues and talking to the family. He was right there when my husband passed. It was a very sad time but this guy was so good in talking with my children who were all young adults. It was like he has got something strong there.

    Blau, Dr. Jill C.
She is really good. She does a thorough exam. Her office is new and very clean. She has an assistant who helps her. She has all kinds of shoes for people who need inserts. She has cute shoes. She gave me an insert to put in under my shoes because of the Arthritis affecting my feet. It helped a whole lot. When I went to the podiatrist about this issue and I underwent an X-ray. There was no break. I left there feeling like I was an old fuss about nothing. The office environment was squeaky clean and beautiful.

    Family Doctor
They're available all the time, you can just walk in. If you're having a minor emergency, you can go there and they take care of you. The doctors are very friendly and they usually try to understand what you're going through. They are very efficient.

Beaufort Memorial Low Country Medical Group
Doctor is attentive for 12-14 minutes, then leaves; nurses are helpful and supportive
but, when you call you almost always get voicemail, and usually calls aren't answered/ returned until the end of the work day. Then, if you need doctor's advice you must wait until the next day (usually). I guess this is normal for our over-worked health care offices.

    Blau, Dr. Jill C.
I have been a patient of Dr Blau's for about two years now. She is an
EXCELLENT podiatrist: skilled and knowledgeable. She works quickly and
offers full explanations of what is being done. I have referred two
patients to Dr Blau and each is very pleased with her services.

    Derrick, Dr. Carl
I have been going to Dr. Derrick for about a year. He will readily reccomend another physician if needed in another specialized area. He listens to problems and discusses them. He is very efficient, and staff gets back right away if needed. The office and waiting area is neat and clean.

    Wiser, Dr. Monica F.
If it wasn't for her fighting for me and helping me with what I was going through with my audiologist, I didn't know what I would do. She wanted to do services for free for me but I refused because of how kind of a heart she has. People like that are rare. She is a tremendous audiologist and person.

    Sarathy, Dr. Aaron P.
He was excellent too. He was professional, light hearten and easy-going. He knows his business very well and very good at what he does. I would definitely go to him if I can afford it and get a face lift from him. He would be the first person I would go to.  He was in the navy. I actually seen a kid’s head hit by the bomb and disfigured his face. He was exceptional at what he does. He was in the navy and now he was out. But he was still going to the reserve 2 weeks a year. On some recruiting and stuff like that. It was easy to get him. They have very nice ladies in his office.
