The visit went well and she will be my doctor from now on.  I appreciate that she is a doctor who listens to what you say and doesn't rush you in and out.  The staff was very friendly and attentive as well.  I visit her again in a couple of weeks for a check-up and I feel like she is very thorough and keeps up to date on my medical condition.

    Bruce Latham MD
We arrived early for a 9:45 AM appointment and were called into the treatment area within 10 minutes of the appointment time. Vital signs were taken, medication lists were reviewed and Dr. Latham came in for his explanation of blood test results and manual checking of the thyroid area of the neck, and for evaluation of any muscular trembling in the hands and arms, etc. The doctor directed that the current dosage of thyroid medication was working well,  should be maintained and that additional blood testing should be done in mid-January, 2015. We were checked out of the office by 10:20 AM after scheduling the March, 2015 appointment.

Dr. Keenan is very thorough. He runs a lot of tests but I'd rather have a doctor that is working from facts rather than guesses or opinions. Other medical personnel have commented to me that he's almost anal when it comes to keeping up with the details on his patients and many of them have commented that he is their doctor also. This is a good sign to me. He forgets nothing and badgers me about getting eye exams, mammograms, flu shots, etc. I've never felt rushed in his office. He listens and he explains. This is a doctor who appreciates intelligent questions. He can be very matter-of-fact and direct and he isn't from the South so I would imagine that some local people aren't thrilled with his bedside manner. It's never been a problem for me: I feel comfortable talking with him about anything that bothers me. I've recommended him to many of my friends and co-workers and they have all become patients. He's excellent!

I like him, and I like his nurse. He's very intelligent. He will send you to a specialist if he doesn't know what's wrong. I trust him and I think he's good. I've been going for a number of years.

A referral was made to Dr. Latham's office at my request by my primary care physician, based on an Angie's List review.

The office staff at Dr. Latham's office was pleasant, business-like and made it very clear that they were there to assist the patients in any way possible to make their appointments as stress-free as possible. This is a multi-physician practice that was moderately busy on the appointment date that I had, but the flow of patients in and out of the office appeared to be very well organized.

Dr. Latham's nurse was very thorough and professional, took down the information and assessed vital signs quickly and said that the doctor would be in very shortly. He was. After reviewing my chart from a previous endocrinologist and a summary of thyroid hormone blood levels taken over the past two years, he then performed a sonogram of the thyroid gland, which revealed multiple nodules. He was then able to offer a diagnosis of hyperthyroidism based on the sonogram and previous hormone blood levels. A discussion was then held regarding the three options available for treatment of the problem ( medication, ablation and surgery). He then prescribed medication to reduce the high levels of thyroid hormone, and provided an appointment slip for a blood test to be taken 4 weeks later in early September.

The September blood test reveled that the medication was working and thyroid hormone levels were slowly, but steadily being reduced. His nurse called to summarize the findings and recommended continuation of the medication regimen for an additional 4 weeks. Several days later, another blood work appointment slip arrived in my mailbox for early October. Based upon those results, the medication may have to be adjusted to a lower dosage if current progress continues over the next month. At this point, I am very pleased with the result of my feeling much better than a month ago and I hope for continued progress.

He's not just an MD but an internal medicine doctor that has extra training. His prices are the most reasonable in town. You can always expect his appointments to run on time since he doesn't double book.

I like him. He keeps on top of everything. He and his staff are good. If you have an emergency, he does not go to they hospital and that is bad.
