The customer service provided by the people who worked in and under my house has been, without exception, outstanding.

    • They always sought me out to update their status.

    • They always provided proactive, quality work.

    • They never failed to take time to listen, react, and answer questions.

This level of service is very rare.

That it was provided, without exception, is a direct reflection on the quality and work ethic of the people who were here.

My family and I knew our home needed work before we bought it.  The house was a foreclosure that had sat vacant for a while and mold was taking over the finished basement and creeping in through the chimney of our upstairs area as well. These were just some of our concerns.  However, with my 86 year old dad having COPD soon to be occupying the finished basement, the mold removal took precedence.
I called and interviewed several contractors (aka wasting my time), before finding Carolina Air Care / Advanced Environmental Services. Initially, John, the owner of the company came out with one of his associates to see the extent of the damage.  After minutes of meeting
them I felt at ease.  They spent time explaining why the mold was so severe, they were mindful that we needed to stay on a budget and gladly answered the many questions my dad and I had.
The first crew came in to remove the mold.  They arrived on time, they were respectful, friendly and even courteous of the fact we have two large dogs.  They showed us what they were doing and cleaned up any mess they made each day.
Due to the severity of the mold, it was decided that implementing a French Drain would be the best solution to keep water from returning to our house.  John kept me informed as to when the digging would begin, he gave me a heads up that people would be measuring around
the property and to not be alarmed, and every evening before leaving he?d say goodnight, let us know that his crew would be back the next day and reminded me to lock the bottom door.  Can you remember the last time your contractor did that?
The French Drain took a total of seven days and they even worked on Saturday. As the project neared completion, John explained everything him and his crew had done and even introduced me to the contractor I will be using on my next project immediately following this one.
Over the course of the two-phase project I got to realize that not only is Carolina Air Care / Advanced Environmental Services a stand up company, but John and all of his associates are stand up people.  I highly recommend this company and can't thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication.

Blake arrived as scheduled and proceeded to do the inspection. Our home is new and we wanted confirmation that the crawl space was prepped correctly by the builder. Everything was in order so no other work was necessary.

    Chris Tomczak's Handyman Services
He's very unresponsive and hard to get a hold of. There were some billing errors. We made a payment that he couldn't find and we had to prove we had sent in the check, even though we had the cancelled check. He neglected to fix one of the doors, but charged us the whole price anyway. He left shavings on the floor. I had to go in there and clean up after him. This is a house I'm trying to sell and it's a couple of hours away, so I couldn't watch him. I had to go there and clean up after he was all finished and paid. He's probably not the most expensive but he's not the least expensive either. The quality of the work was good. I'd prefer not to use him in the future. If I had to, I would, but I would be a little more careful.

    Dean Hunter
Read that you don't even want to paint ceilings if there is asbestos present. I wanted to know. So I called Dean Hunter, spoke with man who told me the ins and outs and what could be expected on price. It was up to me how many samples I wanted to take and from where. I chose two places on each room, spaced apart. Had whole house checked out. One price if they got the samples, another price if I got the samples. I did it, wearing respirator, hat and washed me and clothes after. All came back negative, but who knew? Can't tell just by looking and the downside to too great to chance. Doc says, Hey, you've got lung cancer. You been around any asbestos? 175 bucks would not touch the first chemo treatment, if chemo will work. They were local and easy to deal with. Not sure on price, but it was not sky high, that's what about I recall, anyway.

I could not be more impressed with this company. As a first time home buyer, I had no expereince in this area and 1000 questions, John was patient and informative. From the intital test
