    Morrison Services LLC
Antonio and his crew were great to work with and the pricing was very good. Antonio even came in early to finish the job. We made changes during the project and Antonio was very patient with us and working around our schedule. I would definitely Morrison Services and plan on using them for future projects.

    Mr. & Mrs. Fix It
Debi and Gary were very prompt and totally professional. They arrived on time and stayed with the job each day, while working in a consistent and methodical way. Even though several problems came up with missing hardware, water lines being in a difficult place, etc., they always came up with a workable solution to each challenge instead of telling us that something would not work as some people do. Changes in the plan did no deter them from doing a great job. They both are very friendly and trustworthy. We had no problem with leaving our home in their care while we were out for several hours. We would both highly recommend Debi and Gary and will certainly use and look forward to their services again

    HDS Drywall Painting & Remodeling
My experience with HDS was excellent. I unexpectedly found myself needing to have my new condo renovated very quickly so that I could move in. I had two weeks to get the job done. I hired HDS and Ed Hann. They got right to work and finished the job on time. They completely transformed the condo. The work they did was quite extensive. As part of their painting job, they scraped the old popcorn ceilings and then painted the ceilings. Despite the massive amount of work involved, they finished everything quickly and did a great job.

    George Williamson Floors

    George Williamson Flooring

We had all new hardwood flooring installed in our home, except for kitchen and bathrooms.

This included removal of existing hardwood flooring and carpeting.

George gave us excellent advice regarding the choices of flooring, including wood choices and the option of "square edge" or non-beveled flooring which we had been told was not available.

He listened carefully to our interests and was patient and clear and thorough with explanations so that we got new flooring that we really like.

He provided an estimate and schedule, both of which he held to without question.

We had expected a lot of dust associated with original floor removal but, as promised, the dust was kept to an absolute minimum which was surely appreciated.

The flooring installation was excellent and we are most pleased with all aspects.  One example is the new shoe molding fit and finish which is very well done; including the use of long pieces so there are no joints except at corners.

We had several "out of the ordinary" problems and George was able to provide good solutions with no fuss or extra expense.

It was a pleasure dealing with George and having him in our home.  We strongly recommend him to anyone for hardwood flooring work.

    George Williamson Floors
George did a wonderful job on our floors. As is apparent from the many positive reviews he has received, this is an expected outcome from having him work with you on your flooring. What is not always obvious from those reviews is the lengths that George will go to, to solve the unexpected problems that result from installing or refinishing floors in an older home.
For example, we had older hardwood flooring that we wanted to match to the new hardwood flooring George was going to install.  Our older flooring was badly cupped?a consequence of the wet weather during construction over 20 years ago. George was able to smooth out the old flooring and match it perfectly to the new. What was a problem became a beautiful asset in our home.  A few of our additional issues included uneven levels across adjacent floors, appliances fitting so tightly that they are near impossible to uninstall and reinstall, trimming out a marble fireplace hearth that was lower than the newly installed flooring, uncertainty regarding the best final finish?satin or semi-gloss, damage caused by other workers, and countertops that provided serious unanticipated challenges.
Through it all George retained his sense of humor, reassured us that all would be well, and ensured that all did go well. The real measure of a contractor isn't obvious when things go smoothly, but it?s very quickly obvious when there are bumps in the road. Since there are always bumps, we would recommend that George be the contractor working beside you.

    PERSONAL TOUCH FLOORING SERVICES INC
The company was very responsive and the installer was flexible and worked around when I could be there. I think the quality of work was outstanding and we were very pleased. The only issue that I had was that the installer left a lot of the excess and leftover materials at my house after leaving. However, when I mentioned this during a follow up call from Personal Touch they had someone out there the next day to collect it all. I appreciated that follow up and level of service from them and we are very pleased with our kitchen.

Carpet Fashions Carpet One Floor & Home
The decision making was made simple. They strictly adhered to my requirements. My sales person came to my home to measure the areas and made good suggestions about how best to seam the new carpet with the existing carpet. I was able to change my installation date due to delays with my other workmen. I had to wait 2 weeks instead of the one week delay I requested but that ended up working out about right. The installation crew arrived as scheduled. It took the workmen an extra day to complete the installation due to an error in the carpet measurement but they accommodated my schedule and kept me well informed throughout the installation. Several extra men were brought in late Friday in order to complete the job before the weekend. All were courteous and knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again.

David was personable and responded to my request for a work estimate in a very timely manner. He sent me the quote via e-mail(my request) in a timely manner. He did excellent work, kept the job site cleaned and cleaned thorougly at the close of the project. Keep in mind he does work alone. He seemed to be very up to date on materials needed and takes a lot of pride in his work and in completing it to your satisfaction. He kept me informed re his progress . I would use him again. Well done!

    Upstate Remodel
Upstate Remodel did a wonderful job on our house!  My wife and I had gotten several estimates from a few "flooring" companies to install new laminate hardwood floors in our house.  Let's just say all their estimates were rather outrageous for what we thought it should approximately be.  We decided to check out Angie's List and did a search for "flooring" in our area and Upstate Remodel ended up being on the top of the list.  Gave David a call.  He came out, was very professional, helpful and gave us an estimate for the job.  His estimate was very reasonable, specially for everything he said he was going to do.  The other quotes we got did not even come close.  David was great to work with.  He has a very friendly, funny personality and loves to joke around.
The original estimate for the job included:
Complete install of whole house laminate hardwood floors (including closets, excluding kitchen and bathrooms).
     - Picked up and delivered flooring from the store it was purchased at when it came in
     - Moved furniture as needed to accommodate us and the install
     - Pulled up and removed old carpet and carpet padding
     - Removed old broken-tile style ceramic tiling in foyer and around fireplace area (this was no easy task either!)
     - Removed old baseboards
     - Properly undercut door jambs
     - Inspected and fixed any sub-flooring noises
     - Installed new under-layment padding
     - Installed new laminate hardwood floor throughout house
     - Installed, nail-hole filled, and caulked new baseboards throughout
     - Installed new baseboard HVAC registers (customer purchased)
     - Installed low profile thresholds for bathrooms and kitchen
     - Installed proper exterior door thresholds
     - Moved furniture back after install was complete
     - Cleaned all installation/construction messes and hauled away all old materials and trash.
For all that, the price was unbelievable!
Once we picked out and purchased the floor we wanted, David picked it up and delivered it himself from the store once it came in.  We had approximately 1200 sq. ft. of flooring to be done and we knew that it was going to turn our house upside down for a bit, but that was to be expected.  Upstate Remodel did a great job at working with us and accommodating us as much as possible with anything to make the whole process more comfortable.  This was very true specially with my wife who has Multiple Sclerosis and has a difficult time with mobility.  David was more than willing to do anything to help accommodate her during the time the install was going on.  This alone showed extreme professionalism.
During the install not only was David very accommodating, but he was very detail oriented.  If you are looking for someone you can trust to "do things the right way" and not cut-corners, then you definitely need to call Upstate Remodel.  David has a personality like mine so I was instantly put at ease knowing that I could trust him to do things right and perfect.  I am the type of person who is a bit OCD and can't stand knowing when something is just not right.  David's work ethic is exactly like this.  He will not do something unless it is done right.  He explained that this is one of the reasons he pulls baseboards and undercuts the door jambs, instead of doing a half-effort job and cut the floor around the jambs and just throw down quarter-round moldings on top of the existing baseboards.  I agreed totally with him and think that looks cheap.
On top of all that, David even took some extra steps to help us out with the little detailed things that he didn't even have to do.  For example, during conversation we mentioned recently we had our HVAC replaced, so he took the initiative to tape up the gaps around the HVAC register ducts in every room.  This was not part of the estimate, but since the flooring was up, he went ahead and took care of it for us.
I honestly would say that for the price and the time it took for the job, it was more than worth it and you could not find a better deal anywhere in the upstate area.  Our house has a completely new look on the inside.  My wife and I are extremely happy with all aspects of the install and the finished product.  The biggest difference in choosing to go with David from Upstate Remodel versus a big "flooring" company is that he is his own independent contractor and his business relies on his reputation.  It is very easy to see the difference in quality too.  A big flooring company will send out employees who work for the company and not care much about the quality of the job. We were very appreciative of the great quality that David puts into his work.
We will definitely be calling David back again in the future for any other work we have done on our house.  We totally recommend David for any high quality work you need done on your home.  We couldn't be happier with what Upstate Remodel did.

    ACTION FLOORING CONTRACTORS
This company charged a bit more than most of the others that I called. But, they worked me into their schedule and came out the same day to perform the work. Another company quoted $350 for the same job, but kept putting us off and not showing up when they were supposed to. So, I was happy to pay Action Flooring $500 and have the work performed right away. The floors came out great. I would hire this company again and recommend them to others.
