    They take good care of us. We went over there and had them look at our tires because it kept going flat. They found a crack in our rim and referred us to another place. They held onto our tire. When we got the repaired rim back, they put our tire back on. We have warranty with them. It did not cost us anything but they really bent over backwards to make sure that we were taken care of. They did not charge us anything because we bought our tires through them. When you buy tires through them, they take care of anything related to your tires. They mounted the tire for us. They inspected, let me put it this way, they inspected enough to find this crack in the rim. Most place would have said like I don't know. They took the tire off and found the crack in the rim. I don't think many places would have gone through the trouble of finding out why a perfectly good tire kept going flat. We were impressed that when they could figure out what was going wrong, they actually took the tire off and found the crack. My girls ride in that car and it could have been disastrous if that would have cracked and the tire would have went flat going down the interstate.

    Master Fabricators Mach Shop
    They were really helpful. Our tire company referred us to them. We got the rim back the very same day that we brought it there. So we could get the donut tire off of our car. I don't know what to reference the price to. I know that the rim, an after market rim, not a Ford one, which is what my car would have been at least $300. So far so good. The tires working great and we haven't��lost any air so I assume it's fixed correctly and seated correctly. We have already had to use the car on the interstate so. They took us right, and they literally got us right in and said we'll have it done in a couple of hours and they were true to their word and they got it back the same day.

    A coworker recommended Carolina Collision Center to me after being hit by a deer. My insurance company did not want work done until an adjuster could view the damage. I was able to leave my vehicle at Steve's shop and he accommodated the adjuster and explained the process to me beforehand since I'd never been through a claim before. Dottie who manages his front desk was a very sweet woman and kept me up to date. When it turned out he was going to need to order parts with a couple days' lead time, Steve made my car drivable again (by bending out a dent in the front quarter panel that was preventing the driver's side door from opening) so I wouldn't be without it for the weekend plus a couple business days it took for the parts to come in. When parts arrived, I dropped the car off the evening before work was to begin (having left the spare key with Dottie on our initial visit.) The work was done PERFECTLY. It was like it had never happened. It did take a good 5 days of work, but I can see why. Steve and his staff do impeccable work.

    I purchased a battery less than 1 year ago for a 3rd car used on occassion by me and my wife.  The car sat unused in January and most of February, and would not start when I tried late February.  I jumped the battery and took it to the local Batteries Plus here in Aiken, SC where it was purchased. The manager said the battery's 24 month full replacement warrant was voided because the battery was put into "prolonged storage" during January and February.  The battery was under a 10 volt threshold, so my "abuse" caused by this "prolonged storage" voided the warranty.  Several days after calling your customer service center I received a call and was instructed to talk to the store manager.  After calling I was told I could purchase another battery with a small percentage discount.  My initial mistake was deciding to go with a small business rather than a large chain store for this purchase, because at least the corporate giants have enough integrity to stand behind their warranties.

    A car that I owned that was driven by one of my kids was involved in an accident. It was towed to Kendrick's because the insurance company said that that was the preferred provider to them. When I went in there to talk to them and give them my key, nobody acknowledged me when I walked in. There were two people at the desks. She acted like I was bothering her by talking to her. If it were my place, I would have fired her because that's not how you talk to people. I met with the guy that was going to give me the estimate for it. We talked about the car and I told him what happened. He said he would get back to me the next day. He didn't call me back the next day, so I called him. When I called, the guy that answered said it was the insurance company's car. I insisted that it was my car and he told me to he would call me the next day with the estimate. The following day, I waited until 10 and then called them. I spoke to they guy whom I had talked to the first time and I asked for the estimate. He said he had forwarded it to the insurance company. I asked him for a copy of the estimate and he declined. He reported to the insurance company that I had a previous oil leak, which I didn't have any experience of. He added that the oil leak was the reason the oil came out and the motor ended up being ruined. I recall telling him that during the accident, the oil came out and we had refilled it. Anyway, I felt like he was working for the insurance company and not for me. I would never use them. When I finally got the quote from the insurance company, it wasn't an accurate one and wasn't inclusive of everything.

    CJ's Auto and Towing
    Unfortunately on July 28th the starter on my Ford F-150 went "kaput" essentially in the middle of nowhere. Contacted 3A for tow and service to the local Ford Service shop. The tow truck driver arrived, even though he was in the middle of another tow call BUT in the vicinity Very courteous driver arrived and made unsuccessful attempts to isolate source of trouble, driver contacted his shop and requested the turnaround time for starter repair/replacement and stating that it WILL accomplished that very day. Even though the starter "might" be under under warranty at Ford dealer, I easily chose to go with CJ's because of the driver's courteous and professional attitude.

    Arrived @ shop and was surprised that service tech (Lonnie) was waiting and in the end proved very knowledgeable with starters.Long story short, I was back on the road in about 1.5 hours.

    I think 3A chose well when they selected CJ's as the contract towing carrier in Aiken County. CJ''s is economically competitive in parts and labor and if the situation arises it without question that I would use CJ's.

    I presume it was done in a professional manner.  I had agreed with my daughter to pay for the work which my wife did when the car was ready. My complaint is Palmetto Tire and Brake charged $46.57 for a "cc conv fee" which I presume means a "credit card convenience fee."  My wife was not told this charge was part of the invoice.  To be honest, it was a part of the "Cost Summary" and if my wife had looked she would have seen it but a credit card convenience fee is so seldom charged by a commercial company that one could be forgiven for not noticing it.  At any rate, the person taking the payment should have pointed out this highly unusual charge that had been added to the total bill.

    I had no choice but to pay the charge of $24.87. Because the filter had not been changed, I had to take it somewhere else to have it done since I was running oil through a dirty filter.  Five days later, I took the car to the Toyota dealership in North Augusta and explained what Alexander had told me.  The service manager came to me about thirty minutes later and said that his technician had absolutely no problem taking the filter off and even annotated the service ticket with that information.

    I paid $46.84 for the oil change at the Toyota dealership.

    From the onset - I stopped @ approximately 4 tire dealers in Aiken,SC obtaining estimate for complete purchase and installation of 4 tires.  On the off-chance I stopped @ Jack Rogers Tires; and was immediately surprised at the cordial greeting by service counter personnel.  You would think that most counter personnel would be 'grumpy' about just providing an estimate, quite the contrary @ Jack Rogers Tire.  The estimate was quite fair and reasonable in comparison with the other tire dealers in town for Quality Brand Name Tires. My selection was swayed to Jack Rogers 95% based mainly on counter personnel positive attitude.  Made an appointment for the following day, Installation took about a hour tops, and I noticed while I was waiting all the people that came for work or estimate on their vehicles were treated with enthusiasm....this day and age - that's what Aiken Needs.

    I had called the ford dealer and goodyear to ask approx. costs to add freon.  Both quoted 125.00 plus freon costs.  I called Tyler tire and they quoted 100,00 total.  I made an sppointment.  Typer said it would take 1 hour.  I waited and it was 50 minutes and I walked out of there and the cost was 62.00.  I have delt with Tyler on Whiskey Road for years.  They have always perfermed great work and within the time frame they quote.  Johnnie there is up front to the point and tell it like it is.  That is very refreshing to me as I do not like any surpries.
