  •      I contacted John DiMauro of OSHI based on my research on Angie's List.  Everyone who had dealt with him gave him "A" rating in all categories.  He also had a good number of years of experience in his field performing a variety of work. Of importance to me was that he also provided 24 hour emergency service.   I called him concerned with my problem which was a piece of siding that had detached near the roof due to very heavy winds and rain.  It was about 15 feet wide and hanging loose but it ultimately fell to the ground.

I emailed John in the evening and he called me early the next morning.  He said he would fix the problem but that he wouldn't be able to get to it for about a couple of weeks but that if he could, he would try to fix it at the end of the week should certain things fall in place on the job he was currently involved with.

John is definitely a man of his word. Whenever I called, emailed or texted him, he would respond as soon as he could.  He was always very pleasant to deal with and it is evident that he is very customer focused where he wanted to make sure that he not only did the job right but maintained efficient communication. The piece of siding was properly replaced and very neatly done.

The job was completed in the week that I called.  I was impressed with this as well as every aspect of my dealings with him.  My carpenter recently passed away after better than 20 years of doing business with him.  I'm happy to have found John DiMauro of OSHI because as I told him, I will definitely contact him again in the future for any type of work that needs to be done.  He is a true professional and great at what he does!

  • Everything turned out well for the most part.  The gentleman was very responsive and communicative, arrived on time for our meetings, and was honest when explaining that the work on the wood floor could lead to problems if I wanted to sell the house.   Unfortunately, his price for restoring the windows was too high, so I decided against using his services.

  • Went well. Heritage did not perform the work - they acted as the contractor and hired the electrician who did the installation.
I will use this contractor again provided they perform the work. If a project looks like it will be subcontracted out, I will hire the sub directly.

  • We had water damage on our pristine plaster ceiling in our library and water running down the sides of our walls from our two upstairs bathrooms. Eventually we figured out it was probably from a cracked pipe and not just a toilet overflowing. George (the owner) came in and demo'ed part of the ceiling to expose completely rotted cast iron and lead waste piping and corroded brass piping. We had to fight with the insurance about cost and scope of work, and George was very patient and helpful throughout the whole time. George was fantastic about breaking out costs and giving us different options to get a scope of work that we could do for our budget. He was very responsive and accommodating. He came to the house several times on the weekend to discuss items to insure that we fully understood everything and that we and him were always on the same page. We had them replace the waste piping from the upstairs bathrooms to the basement with PVC and replace the supply piping with Pex tubing. To access the piping, he had to demo part of a closet and an existing built-in cabinetry. He worked with us to save the bottom half of the cabinetry, and only demoing the part that I thought was ugly. He's workers were great guys and very friendly. They even would let our cat out of the basement at the end of their workday so he wouldn't have to stay in there till we came home later at night. The repairs to the ceiling look fantastic and the paint job was flawless. George was extremely knowledgeable and even walked around the house giving us pointers on small projects that we could tackle ourselves. I would recommend him to anyone who asked.
