    ELCO Painting Inc.
The weather proved to be a challenge since we could not get two days in a row without rain. once we got two days the work was completed in 6 hours. no issues. I had not planned on the power washing but Steve recommended it. OMG. 30 years of grime, mold, and mildew were removed and I have an almost brand new looking deck Great suggestion and great job!!! Recommend highly.

    Melvin Power Wash
It started out rough; they are not very prompt.  However, the power washing was great.  The house turned out good but they missed places and had to go back over things. Overall, everything turned out ok.

The project began on 3/23/2016.  Jim and crew arrived at 10 am sharp as promised.  They kept me informed about what they were doing, and worked around my schedule. The project was completed on 3/26/2016. They did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely use their services in the future.

I thought the painters work was very well done, though if I had thought more about it, I would have asked their boss to paint the bathroom and bedroom ceilings as well. The new paint was so lovely that it made the ceilings in the bedrooms look dirtier than I had realized.

It was excellent. He was very thorough. It was done in a timely manner. They were very professional and neat. He also did some interior work and painted some rooms inside my house. I would highly recommend them.

As with any exterior work, weather caused a few delays.  When we had a firm start date, they arrived on time and were very professional and respectful. They explained the planned schedule of what they would be doing when, and hey followed it. At times I can be a tough customer due to my expectations of quality. I am willing to pay to get it. I had them do some extra sanding and filling in some dimples and gouges to get a better final appearance to the house.
I have to say that they met every expectation I had and even exceeded a few..  I had told them that they should replace any rotted wood they find, but they still wanted to get my OK each time they found more rot. I appreciated this as there was a substantial amount of rot on the fascia boards behind the gutters and some on the trim.  I was aware of about 50% of what they found. The job they did replacing the wood was exceptional and they did it all within the planned schedule. They were also very accommodating to our schedule to have them not be working on the bedroom sides of the house prior to 9:00am. They would work on other parts of the house prior to 9:00 and the bedroom portion after that.
I can not say enough positive about them and their work. Very professional, considerate, excellent communication, and quality work.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

    LOPCO Contracting
We were impressed from the get-go.  Mike showed up to do an evaluation and estimate, exactly when he said he would.  He listened to what we thought we needed, and made a few suggestions along the way.  The estimate (received about a week later) was a little higher than expected, but did include all the carpentry work, power washing, and painting.  We were impressed by the contract detail, especially all the prep work they included--crucial to a good paint job.  There were more areas of shingles they suggested replacing, but they explained why it was a good idea, and we never felt like they were padding the bill.  As for the work crews, they were all way beyond our expectations--punctual, polite, clean, and professional.  We've never had a carpenter or painter (other than the boss) shake our hand and introduce himself--nice touch!  My wife told me repeatedly that these guys were quiet, didn't smoke, and didn't use inappropriate language at all.  When the work was finished, there were a few minor issues typical of this type of work, and I found Tom to be personally responsive every time I called--he was amazing.  Clean up was exceptional--no stray nails or anything that shouldn't have been left behind.

Bob was on time exactly as he said he would be. He did the job in the amount of time he promised AND he cleaned up after himself each day. The work is excellent. Bob is also very personable. He made polite conversation and was willing to share some of his expertise on Edgar Cayce philosophy. Bob, along with being a good painter, is an interesting guy.
    I highly recommend him.

    Do It All Construction
My husband just said to me, "this guy's the paint saint."  And my husband is right!  This man was absolutely INCREDIBLE.  We met with him, obtained an estimate and scheduled our job.  He arrived on the date agreed upon, at 8am sharp.  I have never seen anyone work like Steve.  If you don't hire him, there's really something wrong with you.  His price was extremely reasonable.  His work was incredible.  I didn't even see him stop to eat anything for lunch.
He removed a roomful of VERY old wallpaper in my son's room, which was no small job.  We had another painter tell us that it practically couldn't be done.  Steve debunked that.  He repaired any holes in the walls left by picture hangers, etc. and painted the room and the trim flawlessly.  He also painted the ceiling.
He painted our mudroom, also perfectly.
Our house is sided, but the paint around the windows was flaking badly and our garage door looked like it was ready to fall apart.  Steve repaired our windows where it was needed, then painted the trim around all the windows.  He painted both front and side doors on our house.  I have no idea what he did with the garage door, but the thing looks new.  I didn't think it would ever look that good, even with a new coat of paint and some repair.  It looks brand new now.  He removed our shutters, then took them home with him and painted them after he'd spent the whole day painting our house.  The shutters are, of course, beautiful.  He put them back up with new screws.  I can't believe how beautiful the house looks now.
It also need to be said that, not only did Steve work for us for three and a half days, but he also did it in the middle of Hurricane Sandy.  He didn't miss a day.  He was on time, here every morning bright and early, and he didn't leave until evening.  He never stopped working.  I have never seen anyone with this guy's work ethic.  Again, if you don't hire him, then you've got a real problem.
We have a little dog who never stopped barking at Steve.  We also have a toddler who can be quite a handful.  Steve was genuinely friendly to everyone, even the dog.  He was personable and REAL.  I never thought I'd ever say that it was a pleasure to have my house painted.  Usually indoor project like this create stress for me, just because everything is moved around and you've got rooms that are off limits for periods of time.  Having a stranger in the house is also weird.  NONE of this was the case with Steve.  He made us feel comfortable, and it was, as I said, a pleasant experience.  We have had indoor painting done previously and it was a nightmare.  I think I'm still scarred from it.  I wish we'd found Steve back then!
The cost was exactly what he stated in the estimate, with the addition of an extra room that we asked to be painted (mudroom), which he hadn't planned for.  He cheerfully agreed to do the other room even though I'm sure it caused him to have to adjust his work schedule for the extra time he had to take with us.  I was apparently naive and asked if he wanted to be paid, the day he got here.  Not only did he refuse, stating that he preferred to be paid when the job was done, but he also told me never to ask a contractor that question.  He was the epitome of honesty and integrity.  Everyone in the house loved him.  Even the dog was sad to see him go.
If you don't hire Steve, I'm telling you, you've got no one to blame for whatever happens to you, but yourself.  I've done my part. :)
