" was on time, always accessible by phone/text/email. He generated numerous ideas, with great ideas on staying in budget. All workers were" respectful of my pregnant wife & cleaned up daily.

-Elisha M.

"The reason we selected for new kitchen cabinets is that they have evening hours when both my wife and I could meet and select the cabinets," finish, sizes, etc of the cabinets and their location was convenient to our home. As we were selecting custom cabinets from a manufacturer that sells across multiple retailers, we felt the quality would be the same, regardless who we ordered it from. What we discovered is while the product may be the same, the quality and training of the people who order, install, and follow up is more important. What a mess. Our Kitchen Designer seemed to be sincere and interested in helping us, however I am not sure that the were fully trained on the designing software or the product offerings. It took several attempts to get the initial design laid out. We had to revise several times as he didn't seem to be listening to our requests. The recirculating fan in the cabinet above the range was especially troublesome (first attempt was quoted at $5,000+) , as were the glass cabinet doors along the ceiling tier of cabinets. Once we settled on an initial design they sent a measurer out to make sure the design would work in the kitchen. At which point we were required to pay the full $14,175 cost of cabinets and installation before HD would order it. I put this on a CC rather than writing a check, as a way to address any disputes and it appears that it may come to that. The real problems became evident after the cabinets were delivered. The designer told us that an installer would be there within a couple of days to check the "cabinets in." and that they would start installation about a week after that. So we scheduled all our other contractors around that schedule. I contacted HD to let them know the cabinets arrived on October 21. I expected a call to schedule the "Check in", however after several days, over a dozen un-returned calls, numerous emails copied to no less than 3 people, they were finally able to get an installer to check in the cabinets and start installation on November 4th...Pushing back the other contractors. The installer lived 90 minutes away and arrived late on November 4th. During the check in and installation it was evident there were several problems with the order. 1) The crown moulding was ordered wrong and the installer had to re-configure pieces to make it work.. 2) A valance was shipped that was deleted from the design, 3) Cabinets came in with a mix of extended face frames and flush face frames which didn't line up 4) All 6 of the furniture style end panels all came with a rabbeted that should have matched up with the cabinets that were supposed to have the extended face frames. This wasn't discovered until the cabinets were installed. The installer suggested that end panels that were full (Not rabbetted), to be re-ordered to make it work. However, this will leave the panels appearing to be "glued on" rather than look like they are integral to the cabinets. As it is,the will have to add 1/4" spacer to all the extended face frame cabinets to make it line up. Unfortunately it's a defect that we will have to live with as it's too late to rip out the cabinets and start over. The installer left us with the 6 panels and one door cabinet that had a defect, and said that they'd have to reorder and finish the installation once new panels were delivered. He sent photos of the problems. That was on November 5th. After several more emails, voice mail messages left, I finally contacted the installation on November 13th and actually got a live person only to discover that no orders or actions to replace the panels had been started....More than a week had gone by since the installer sent the photos to them/ As this was a Friday, the new orders would not go in until Monday.. I am writing this review on Saturday the 14th. It will be at least 2 more weeks before a RUSH order for the panels will be delivered. Then, HD will have to schedule the installer. (Last time that took two weeks). It will be lucky to have any resolution on this until Christmas. I gave a "C" on price, however that currently should also be an "F" as the delays and problems have cost us time and money in dealing with other contractors in the timeline and project. We elected to go to a higher priced supplier for the countertop, but they got it measured, ordered, and installed in exactly 7 days...while HD quoted 3 weeks..

Not really.  If the contractor is very careful and you are really lucky he might be able to pull them out and then reinstall them after the new cabinets are installed.  A lot of this will have to do with how well the counters were installed in the first place.  Also, the existing countertops may not line up with the new cabinets exactly in some areas as well as they do now.  The better option is to have the cabinets refaced, leaving the boxes and tops in place.  Unlless you have deteriorating particle board cabinets you should be able to get a carpenter to do this.  If you decide to remove the countertops and install new cabinets factor in new tops and be pleasantly surprised if they can be reinstalled afterall.  Realize you probably won't find a contractor willing to gurantee not damaging the tops.  If you do, dig in and research him well.  He likely doesn't have enough experience.

IF dirty enough to make for a musty odor, then paint won't stick to them properly anyway. Paint is not your solution - you probably need a Deep Cleaning. Try to pin down what types of smell it is - if damp, mildewy; rotten food; or musty fabric - will help guide you to the source maybe. Another thing to do is keep all doors closed for a full day when outside temp is such that furnace and A/C can be turned off - then walk around the house, sniffing - preferably with 2 people - and see if one room is the major contributor. I have played this game, and found all the following as sources of musty smells: 1) linen in a closet without ventilation going slightly mildewy 2) water leak in walls or floors enough to cause mold but not drywall staining or visible water 3) carpets needing cleaning 4) water leak in bath or kitchen leaking under floor, causing mold there which is not pronounced in smell because under the flooring 5) attic mildew/mold from leaks or moisture condensation on insulation/wood 6) moldy plants outside - left in garden/flower bed in fall, so rotted in winter/spring 7) clothes in closets touching outside wall, so in very cold weather acted as insulator and let freezing front come to inside of wall, causing frost and moisture to buildup there from the inside moisture, eventually causing mildew/mold (same process as condensation/ice on inside of windows with curtains over them) 8) failure to clean behind kitchen appliances and under sink, or under washer/dryer/dishwasher at least when repaired or changed out 9) heavy lint accumulation in bathroom fan going mildewy 10) grease trap in kitchen exhaust fan never cleaned 11) washing machine going moldy - run a cycle of towels or such with bleach and Borax 12) the number one cause I have found - clothes stacked in closets or hope chests or such for decades get very musty even if clean and ventilated

As long as the counter is big enough Corian is one of the easier ones to work with. Since it does not have the ground or crushed stone that some of the other material have you can work with normal woodworking tools. A saw with a fine tooth carbide blade and a professional grade router with the proper shaped carbde bit can be used if the edge needs finishing. A belt sander helps on cuts also. The only problem you might have is if you need the joint kits for seaming as I dont think you can buy them.

When Corian first came out I could buy the slabs and fabricate my own tops and then Dupont went to a certified distributor system and would no longer sell to those of us that had been working with it for years. I will admit that they did have reasons for this as not all that were working with the product were doing it right.

Cabinet Refacing reviews in Warwick

and his crew were great to work with. He understood what I wanted from the get go. I have an older home with a few unusual corner cabinets, but they figured out the best way to integrate the doors seamlessly. They worked well within their timeline, kept my kitchen clean and functional even as they worked all week, were pleasant ...More to have around, totally trustworthy. My old backsplash was such an eyesore and the new subway tile they installed looks terrific.
- Jerry P.

and team were great to work with. Project finished on time and on budget. was great about making sure that I wasn't without major appliances while work was being done. He also went above and beyond making sure our punch list was completed and addressing any concerns. He cares about the final outcome ...More and about his customers satisfaction. Can't believe my 1962 kitchen cabinets look brand new - a major transformation in only 6 weeks. Ps- we had a quote from Home Depot fir refacing existing cabinets but it didn't include the demo and modification that did. The Home Depot quote was several thousand more for less work. So happy we went with .
- Crystal C.

arrived on time, was professional, easy-going and provided helpful information. All questions were answered effectively.

We are very happy with the results! The cabinets look brand-new and high end. We went with a glazed painted wood for the kitchen, and stain in the bathrooms. Their main carpenter is awesome, and pays great attention to detail. There were some problems with improper measurements, so that slowed the project down a bit. We ...More had gotten other bids for re-facing, but Cabinet Cures is the only company we found that actually covers the front of the existing frame with 1/4" wood (vs. using a "peel and stick" veneer). They have a clever way of covering the sills when the doors are open--you would never know they are re-faced. Highly recommend Cabinet Cures!!
- Jennifer H.

The sales person ( ) was very pleasant and not pushy at all. He gave us a few great ideas that made use of dead space by doing away with two doors on a lower cabinet with a half shelf and replacing them with three drawers. Also filling in about a 4 inch space at the top of the cabinets which allowed for larger doors and a much ...More more professional look. A few days later a man showed up and measured everything. We were told it would take a couple of weeks for all the doors and drawers to be made and Nov 2nd was scheduled for installation to begin. On Nov 2nd the installer showed up and started the process. He was very nice and neat. The quality of his work was great and was able to finish the job on time. He also came up with some minor ideas such as changing the type of molding he used which looked better and more professional. If any issues came up the company was very responsive and were resolved quick.

Originally we were contemplating the kitchen cabinets but were talked out of it by one of the kitchen contractors who said that it would cost as much to just get new cabinets. (Not true) Ultimately, we liked the shape of the kitchen and the way the cabinets worked, we just did not like the look of the cabinets. They were getting ...More shabby and the color was rather tired. On Angie's List, we saw and gave him a call. He provided an estimate and discussed functionality of what was existing and what he could build. understood the vision we had and executed it beautifully. Because he did the cabinet-making on-site for a perfect fit, the job took just over 2 weeks. He even arranged for a countertop company to do our counters and returned to remove the old countertop and was there for the installation of the new countertop. takes great pride in his work and is committed to doing things right the first time. He was a pleasure to work with and really understood what we wanted. The kitchen looks so much better! If you are looking for someone who delivers quality and cabinetry, call !
- Judy W.

The new house we bought needed better kitchen cabinets. came to look at the job and delivered a great product, on time and with excellence.I couldn't be more pleased. I will use his services again when I decide to change my countertop.
- beatriz L.

responded to our inquiry promptly, and provided three different in-home consultations before we signed a contract and paid half in advance. His honest, practical advice was very helpful in shaping our expectations, and he recommended multiple upgrades that added very little to the cost but made a huge difference. Once we signed, ...More installation was scheduled for three weeks out. was right on time. He and his painter were in our place for six days (more than the low estimate of four, but not out of the expected range). Once the big job was done, had his own punchlist of fixes. He took care of those without our prompting. We had a small list of our own after that, and he happily knocked those items out the next day. At the end of it all, we have a brand new kitchen. What a pleasure to find a craftsman who does what he promises, and does great work to boot.
